Super film ! Serwisanci płakali jak oglądali 😁 film nagrany profesjonalnie ze smakiem i drobnym żartem 👍 szacun i jestem ciekaw czym dalej zaskoczycie 😁
Fajnie 😊 to wyszło. Pierwszy raz widziałem suwmiarkę w rękach dziewczyny 🤗 jestem w szoku ładnie to zrobiłaś.... i podkładki do ściągacza, znam mechaników co nie sprawdzą ślepych otworów. 😀
Thank you for your comment. I double checked the instruction and there is information about position (chapter 7 “power unit”, page 24). The belt is positioned correctly - the serial numbers on the belt are not reversed :).
As far as making sure the correct tension is on the timing belt, is it only that spring that’s giving the correct tension and then tightening that nut to keep that tension? I just don’t want the belt to slip from the teeth, could cause serious damage
The only element that tensions the timing belt is the spring, you have to loosen the tensioner, turn the flywheel a little to loosen the side of the belt on the tensioner side (so that the spring can tension it), screw on the tensioner and check the tension by moving the wheel to the right by 2* and to the left by 2*
One more question. Can't I just do my two rotations with the old belt to see that it is in timing and then bring it to TDC, ensuring the arrows are pointing on the camshafts? Also placing a camshaft locking tool. Then remove the old belt and install the new one? Then I guess I would rotate the engine two times with the new belt to ensure that it is in correct timing, and wham, all is in timing and good to go. Wouldn't all that work that way also? I have to get a new camshaft locking tool, as the one I ordered off of amazon won't fit between the camshafts with it's teeth. I imagine it is for a bigger engine, then the 115.
As you can see on the movie - you do not need camshaft locking tool. Yor have 4 stroke engine, so arrows will coincide every second turn of the crankshaft. Remember that you have signs on 3 places: 2 on the camshaft and one on crankshaft. Before you remove your old timing belt - this 3 signs have to be in correct place as you can see on the movie. Then you can start to put new timing belt :).

Genialny film! Robota wykonana profesjonalnie :) Szacunek dla Pani mechanik :) Z tego materiału, "specjaliści" z ASO wiele mogą się nauczyć.
Kobieta z takimi umiejętnościami to istne cudo :) Gratuluje!! aż sam ściągam czapkę = 0:28

Best video I have found for a timing belt change on this motor

Thanks for this video
Lepiej niż w ASO👍😊
Nice job, be sure the belt is positioned correctly. It can be upside down and Yamaha says it makes a difference.
