1:08 “Well almost anything- Did you know it’s not possible* to surgically remove the stick that’s lodged in your a-“ Fantastic line. Did not deserve to be directed at poor Henry But also absolutely in character for Victor *It sound like “now possible “ but given the context, “not possible” makes more sense Also how Victor looks over his shoulder for Elizabeth before insulting poor innocent Henry
Omg I love the demo unironically I listen to it more than the new one lolo!!! This video is gold btw!! That one *SLAP* had me in tears!! ...also WAIT YOU LIKE THE FACT THEY CUT ELIZABETH'S SONG???? WHAAAT!! I was literally so sad they cut it!!
That’s so wild!!! I feel like the final one was a lot more polished! And yeah! Elizabeth’s song slowed the whole production down for me! I think it was a good call to rework it!
I thought that the demo was pretty good- Certainly, there's quite a few lyrics that are worse, but I thought that the version of 'your father's eyes' was pretty good, while Alphonse is at his breaking point, nearly completely delusional from grief, he mourns that surely there was something he could have done, should have done, that could have prevented this tragedy. Then Victor gets to hear the second part of the song, which gives him something to think about which leads him to his conclusion and apology in the reprise of Amen. I also liked Elizabeth's song buut I can understand why it would be better to cut it.
It’s so unfortunate yes!! The only recording with Foster that exists out there is this unlisted one performance of Birth to my Creation th-cam.com/video/5qWmRGhdcs8/w-d-xo.html
This one of Modern Prometheus exists too, but it sounds like it was recorded with a toaster LMFAO, so look out for your ears th-cam.com/video/oI2TPqdsXRE/w-d-xo.html
"I, a man, will now give birth, which makes me God upon this Earth," is the greatest musical theatre lyric ever written.
They knew exactly what they were doing with this one single lyric. It's so emotional and really shows what he was thinking in that tragic moment.
Elizabeth, you’re a ✨woman✨
For instance did you know it’s now possible to surgically remove the stick that’s lodged in your-
