@@willi4172 I agree with his assessment of Justin. He simply does things that other qbs can't. He scores us a lot of points with his legs. It would be different if he was a good runner but couldn't put points onnthe board , but now teams fear the bears inside the redzone knowing that Justin can just keep the ball and run it in for a touchdown.
@@jimgeorge3273 people fail to understand that, they’re so caught up on the old pocket statues, the league is different now. We have legit dual threats at QB… Lamar, Kyler, Justin. This year was a good year for the bears to really come together even tho it wasn’t a great year record wise, they really developed a great culture and now with this offseason coming everything can only get better from here
Man! This season went great, exactly as I had expected. I saw what Poles was about to do as he started unloading our big names early on. We're filthy rich as far as draft capital and cap space is concerned. We managed to snag the 1st overall pick while establishing an offensive identity and identifying the strengths and weaknesses of the team. Since we got somewhat of an offensive and defensive identity, we can easily plug in impact players where necessary because they have a clearer idea of what is needed. The guys that are already here will be more capable of stringing the rooks and free agents along. If Poles continue to do what he's doing, we're in the wild card game at a minimum. We'll be in the Superbowl convo in 3 short years, mark my words. Justin Fields will take a leap forward once he gets that O-Line and some decent receivers that can create separation. Remember, he was known for his arm strength and downfield accuracy first, then his running ability. He has to work on his timing and stop holding on to the ball. I'm sure Eberflus will emphasize that as they're reviewing tape. This is how you rebuild, not like the half-way rebuilds that we've been doing for the past few decades. Every fan should be excited.
Yes Justin has to get better but my god look at the WR’s you gave him Poles! Look at the drops, the horrible separation and lack of playmakers. Give him a true # 1!!!
I think what Ryan has done so far has been almost perfect except for claypool don’t think he warrants a 2nd rounder his ceiling might but man he’s got a LONG way to go to reach that ceiling
Need trades this draft! Trade the first pick and get more picks. Try Justin this year and if it doesn’t work out maybe get Caleb Williams next year with the draft pick from this draft would be AMAZING👀🔥
A lot of people think the Bears’ organization is trash. But if you look around the league there are teams that are in worse shape. The Texans are looking for their 3rd coach in 3 years. Denver and the Colts are looking for new coaches. And Arizona needs a coach and GM. Plus a number of team are searching for a franchise quarterback. The Bears have stability at the top and a talented young quarterback. And a tremendous amount of resources to quickly build their roster. Overall they are in better shape than a lot of teams with better records
What are you talking about? We haven’t resigned a coach to a extension since lovie smith! We have the first pick because we ARE the worst team in the league this year,
Justin Fields had great receivers at The Ohio State University. Three of them were selected at: #10, #11, and #12 in the first round of the 2022 NFL Draft (Wilson, Olave and Williams) and Jaxon Smith-Njigba is a projected first-rounder, this year. No NFL team has four such talented WRs. But the "real problem" with Fields is that he breaks under defensive pressure, rather than stand-in and complete in-rhythm passes. Compare C.J. Stroud's 11.5% career pressure-to-sack conversion rate is half of what Fields’ was at Ohio State (23.6%). Not good.
@@evilwestsidefan9249 100% truth. Both coaches (Eberflus and Getsy) have told us this, all year. I hope JF1 takes this to heart -- because Bryce Young also wears #1.
By the way, Ryan, I will continue to watch your Twitter… Especially the 10 Kason and mock draft sessions… Remember, Jack Campbell, Rasghee rice, Mingo, Garret, Washington, Downs, Andre Carter, And yes Jalen Carter and Bj, Verse, Kenny Macintosh, and draft a young qb to groom under Justin.. Hi!🥰 The first thing that must be dissected is the Bears strengths and weaknesses. Look at what improvements have to be made in coaching, on offense, defense and special teams. Coaches communicate your expectations and hold the team accountable for carrying out their part. No one lagging behind. Let's be diligent and a force of reckoning on that field. Ask yourselves what did the 1980's Bears champions have that we have and we need. Build off of that. Study the best defensive and offensive teams in the league in the off-season. Homework fellas.✊🏾💯🥰
I don't get these delusional people talking about trading Justin fields. Why would you draft a qb that has to learn the system when you already have a qb that knows the playbook smh.
It’s not as far fetched as it seems. Patrick Mahomes & Joe Burrow are the youngest QBs in recent history to reach the SB. Mahomes can run but he’s not “a running QB.” Lamar Jackson won an MVP but his early success can be misleading like Derrick Rose (both won MVP at 22 & suffer injuries afterwards). This is why the Bears need quality 2024 picks. To give Fields another year to leap. It’s not guaranteed that he’ll be great.
Let's Go it's our time to get rolling and take back the nfc north lets shock the world next season we can do what jacksonville did in 1 yr. I'm anxious for the off-season 🐻
I’m still a little apprehensive about the Claypool trade….A year ago the Bears had too many small receivers who lacked physicality…Now they have too many tall, stiff guys…. When the game is on the line you need that shifty, feisty receiver… Cooper Kupp, Steve Smith, Julian Edelman,Wes Welker… Please don’t draft Quentin Johnston…. They must consider Jaxson Smith Njigba, Josh Downs or Zay Flowers!
If this staff doesn’t get this off season right they will bury this franchise into the ground. Don’t need a new regime in 2-4 years. They have a opportunity the Bears have never had with $ and picks. Give away no more, we take.
Sadly I don't think Monty will be with the Bears next season. At 18:25 Poles is asked about it and he answers by saying he has always wanted to keep David, but his head is saying no with the side to side motion. I believe that Poles knows Monty is a good player, but i also believe that he doesn't think it is a good business decision to keep him.
@axeman9095 Will IF that's actually the case, then Poles should've worked hard in trading him before the deadline. Cause now he's going to let him walk into free agency with nothing in return!!!
@@georgeismail4192 Possibly he did and no one was willing to part with a draft pick for a position that is undervalued in the NFL these days. I hope I am wrong and that the Bears can keep him.
Like cmon a 2nd year QB learning a whole new playbook, playing with a bottom 3 offensive roster. He damn sure needs to be more bold with saying Justin is the Quarterback for the bears the locker room might not even respect them anymore if they move him.
He is trust me. He is talking like this so teams think there a chance they draft a QB. This raises the pick stock. Behind the scenes he's all in on JF1.
This was a good season despite the final record. The record doesn't tell the overall story. I witnessed the refs make questionable calls that cost my favorite NFL team the Chicago Bears several games. Players in the 2023 NFL draft I think can help my favorite NFL team the Chicago Bears win. Michael Mayer TE Notre Dame, Roschon Johnson RB Univ Texas, Peter Skoronski OT Northwestern and, Hunter Luepke FB NDSU. Adding these 4 players would help the Bears. Of course adding some fast, physical, smart players on the defensive side of the ball in this draft would also be helpful.
Losing towrard the end of the season? No way you accept losing..You do not lose for a Number 1 pick....It was a loss..Terrible season..No guts.. This is how it is these days..
I feel like the O line was better but the run? Man DAVID MONTGOMERY is a Top Running Back and he should be leading the league draft Defense and strengthen the o line for his sake Justin is going to get hurt early
"OL/DL/CB that's where we're going to start." With that I don't think they'll get Bijan, little to no chance. Unless there's trade back. He becomes more of a possibility. The most NFL ready guy with high ceiling, healthy and really young is Paris Johnson Jr, Jalen Carter, or Devin Witherspoon. If they stay at 9. I'm just going by what Poles is looking at based on this end of my year conference and what they've done since. Addressed every position via FA at the skill positions leaving the draft to get OL/DL. I think now more than ever they go OL in the first and DL/DB in the 2nd then back to DL in the 3rd. RB/TE in the fourth round. My ideals mean zero based on this press conference and what he's done since then.

Please 🙏 sir please get Justin two or three more excellent wide receivers a better o line and build your defense up 🎊 congratulations 🍾 we win Bear 🐻 Down
What? He's the best QB you've ever seen in the NFL? You guys are wild. LOL
Defense have to account for another dynamic playmaker that just happens to be your QB. With help Justin is gonna blossom
So true 🐻⬇️

I love this regime, and I'm excited to see what they can do! 🐻⬇️🧡💙
This draft is gonna be awesome 😈
I hope Poles does a lot of trading back so we get more picks like we did last yr.
@@jimgeorge3273 And how many of those picks still haven't played a snap for the Besrs?
Truly an interesting press conference. Especially that last question.
This year was a good year for the bears to really come together even tho it wasn’t a great year record wise, they really developed a great culture and now with this offseason coming everything can only get better from here
Poles never gets rattled and has sound answers! I feel he’ll nail the off season!!
I just know we are going to get shocked this off season either a wide receiver or a defensive player pickup.
These two men are "IT".
I'm hoping Braxton hits the gym very hard and comes back beast mode.
I'm hoping the bears go out and aquire a left tackle that's already elite in this league and move Braxton Jones to right tackle.
"I want to thank my players for tanking correctly."
In Poles we trust!!!! 🐻 down!!!
Ryan Poles > Ryan Pace
Matt Eberflus > Matt Nagy
The thoughtfulness, candor, and honesty don’t go unnoticed by our fanbase
Do you think the players on this Bears team, and those throughout the league respect and trust Ryan Poles?
11:12 These guys are really in sync 😂
haha
Very key that he spoke about Teven first
As long as ownership stays out of these two guys way we should be competitive for quite awhile 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
There’s something good brewing in Chicago. Don’t lose hope, Bears fans.
Yes Justin has to get better but my god look at the WR’s you gave him Poles! Look at the drops, the horrible separation and lack of playmakers. Give him a true # 1!!!
Let's goooo!!!!!
Despite the losses, poles and flus come across as more genuine than those two clowns they replaced
LETS GOOOOO
I think what Ryan has done so far has been almost perfect except for claypool don’t think he warrants a 2nd rounder his ceiling might but man he’s got a LONG way to go to reach that ceiling
Let’s win next year
Need trades this draft!
There won't be stability if they don't greatly improve next year. If they have a 5 win season their seats are going to be hot.
Yep! Love the way you just broke that down.
@@willi4172 nope , sorry but this is a rebuild and that takes time. Can't fully rebuild a team in just two yrs.
What are you talking about? We haven’t resigned a coach to a extension since lovie smith! We have the first pick because we ARE the worst team in the league this year,
Dear Mr. Poles: Don’t worry you got this
JF was a passer first In college get him a line and WRs
Not good.
@@thomasgena9365 Holds ball too long and fumbles when sacked.
I loved Purdy and wanted him for the Bears UDFA…great luck Ryan!!!!
This is what Jerry Krause meant when he said “management wins championships.” The Bears really need management to be strategic & make the right decisions for multiple picks & signings.

I really hope that HBO Hardknocks follows the Bears this year. This is the perfect time.
Been a bears fan all my life but if they trade felids I'm done we finally get a good qb who has know WRs and the Worst OLINE in the nfl Trade back.
THey should trade Fields. The Bears already wasted the first two years of his rookie contract. They probably won't be that much better next year. Might as well start the clock over with a rookie QB since they have the first pick.
@@willi4172 you would get fired
Yea , fields is not the reason we only got 3 wins. Shit he's the only reason we even got the three wins. Bears are not trading a franchise qb and fields is a franchise qb.
@@willi4172 you're nuts. Fields is the only reason we won 3 games and the only reason we came close to winning a whole lot more.
@@jimgeorge3273 if the defense was.half way good we would have won nine games cause if your quarterback put 30 points on the board you are soppose to win that game period
Good job guys you earned a franchise record 10 game losing streak. Pat yourself on the back
Yes---you need to be in pads after thanksgiving---good on you, Flus !
Whoever told Poles they didn’t believe him on the Houston game needs a lesson in manners!
This just feels different from Angelo, Emery & Pace. Those hitting the panic button are not listening or watching what these men are saying and doing. Don’t believe everything the sports media says. Actions speak louder than words. BEARDOWN!!!
Looking forward to the QB potential with that #1 pick boys!! 🐻⬇️
It's just headlines for them to talk on their dumb shows! Just because the Bears have the number 1 pick!
It’s not as far fetched as it seems. Patrick Mahomes & Joe Burrow are the youngest QBs in recent history to reach the SB. Mahomes can run but he’s not “a running QB.”
Lamar Jackson won an MVP but his early success can be misleading like Derrick Rose (both won MVP at 22 & suffer injuries afterwards). This is why the Bears need quality 2024 picks. To give Fields another year to leap. It’s not guaranteed that he’ll be great.
They might be thinking about all those game loosing drives were he threw most of his picks at the worst possible moment in heart breaking fashion
@@fatesandgates justin wasnt a scrambler before this year
@@tracethompson6152 Exactly. That’s why it’ll take some balls for Pole to project & preemptively draft a QB. It’s a tough decision.
Love Josh downs
Jaxson something nice both him & Quentin Johnston
Lots of pressure on Poles
No excuses next season
Thank God Ryan Pace is not handling this draft for Da Bears.
Check back in April.
Ryan Pace selects Will Levis with the 1st overall pick 🤣
He’d find a way to trade up from the #1 pick somehow
Should be pretty easy to improve on the worst season we’ve ever had!!
Ryan you need to be more bold and positive about JUSTIN FIELDS being the quarterback.
He can’t show his cards if he raves about Justin other teams are gonna know they don’t want a qb and not give a good trade for our number 1 pick
@@charliepiazza7533 Other teams know we aren’t drafting a QB… They’re worried about other QB needy teams trading for our pick
Don’t even think about trading Justin. If anything trade down to get more picks, but Mathis has to be a priority
Mathis?!
🐻 ⬇️
Better not trade Justin fields
Their not going to. No one trades away a franchise qb. Justin is a franchise qb. In the making. Justin's really close.
I feel like the O line was better but the run? Man DAVID MONTGOMERY is a Top Running Back and he should be leading the league draft Defense and strengthen the o line for his sake Justin is going to get hurt early
Go get Sean Mcvay💯
Nope! Can keep starting Justin fields over in New offensive system schemes. He needs to master this offensive scheme first.
"OL/DL/CB that's where we're going to start."
With that I don't think they'll get Bijan, little to no chance.
In Poles we trust 🫡
