  • Who do you think her aunt is?
In this touching client story, Heidi Keuper shares Maggie's journey of uncovering her biological roots. Adopted by a loving family, Maggie always wondered about her biological parents, particularly where her creative talents came from.
Through DNA testing and meticulous research, Maggie learned that her biological father, Dean, was a creative writer who had worked on projects with a famous actress-a family member Maggie admired as a child. Although she faced challenges reconnecting with Dean, she was able to meet him and hear about her biological mother, Andrea, before his passing. With the help of DNAngels, Maggie was also introduced to Andrea's family and discovered more about her mother's beauty, creativity, and life.
Maggie's journey shows the power of uncovering one's origins and how finding even small pieces of the puzzle can bring immense peace and understanding.
We specialize in helping clients who have tested with AncestryDNA and are searching for lost parents or have a brick wall. Whether you're an adoptee, donor-conceived, experienced a DNA Surprise, or simply never knew who your biological father was, we are here to guide you on your journey. Our services are always free when it comes to identifying a parent, though we gladly accept in-kind donations to support our mission. Grandparents and brick wall research requires the purchase of a package, found on our website. (We do not search for siblings or children lost to adoption.)

My first boss was adopted as a baby. As an adult, she discovered that her father is a very famous award-winning actor, and she reconnected with him. He’s still alive, so I’m shy to say who he is. She told me about him, how he made sure she grew up on a horse ranch because he loved horses. I didn’t believe her because I was a teen and it seemed impossible to imagine that I could have a second degree connection to anyone in Hollywood. A few years later, I happened to watch his big breakout movie as part of a college course lesson. He made a gesture in the movie that I had seen my former boss make 100 times. I also realized that while she had a different face shape and was significantly shorter, she had his eyes, mouth, and hair color. I saw an interview with someone who worked with him years later, and this co-star commented that he was a confident, cool-headed, and thoughtful person. My boss certainly had those traits, too. Some days, I wish she would change careers and work with me again.

I can tell the fondness you had for this person. Sounds like the apple did not fall far from the tree. I am also intrigued by who this famous actor is, but respect your desire for privacy.

My mom worked with a woman whose husband was supposed to be Johnny Weismuller's (1950's Tarzan) son. Of course, he was never married to this guy's mom, but did financially support him. That was back in the1960's way before DNA tests so who knows? If he sent money, I guess he knew it at least may be a chance.

I need to clarify. Mom worked with the wife in then 1960's. She also knew Jayne Mansfield back before she was famous and just an army wife whose husband was stationed at Ft. Gordon. Of course, back then it was called Camp Gordon.

I WILL be looking you up soon to hopefully help me find my half sibling(s). I find it interesting how you create fictitious names for the family members. I started 10 years ago giving my half brother a fictitious name, Thomas James, TJ for short. Recently I decided that Maybe I have more siblings. So I named them Kendra and Bennett. I'll be binging your channel for awhile before contact. Thank you 👏🏿 for all you do for those who need it. ❤

Thanks for taking the time to comment. Because we are genetic genealogists and follow the DNA and not a paper trail, we are unable to find siblings unless that sibling or a descendant of theirs has DNA tested. I suggest putting your DNA on all the platforms if you have not already done so. Best of luck!
