I think, I would always call that A9o, I mean he has such a wide range with that ICM, also he gonna try to take it down postflop so often with those trashy hands, cant see a fold, but yeah, ugly spot. Anyway GG, great run !
Yeah, once I've gotten to the river with that hand I would have to call. Especially the way he played the hand, the A was highly under represented.

A9 hand is brutal, it is a really close spot, I think the way it was played, if you are calling the turn bet then you should be calling the river knowing he is more than likely putting you all in regardless, only other decision point in the hand is preflop, could make a case for folding pre given ICM....the more crazy hand I believe was the k4 hand, no need to increase the variance in that situation! Nice score, you have had an amazing past 6 months! Keep up the good work!

I can't understand folding Trip Aces in that spot, but I'm a 20/40 limit reg. In a cash game there is no way you can fold.
at the final table it’s more important to not lose chips or risk your tournament life than to gain more chips, because of the pay jumps basically, so u end up playing very nitty
Cash game is way easier to call in this spot. ICM pressure at a million dollar final table makes it more -EV when your tournament life is put at stake

A9 is a call all day... If it's a cooler so be it,but his range there is capped and even more so when considering his ICM advantage and his ability to put you in ICM hell... He's not shoving hoping to fold any aces there... I respect massively how you chipped it back up into the lead anyway, and WP, major respect... Probably you're one of the best large field MTT streamers out there...

I suggest you watch bencb masterclass on icm. Chip leader on ft can abuse the table any amount. A capped range eliminates the absolute nuts in that scenario. He's betting 3 streets with absolute trash there and Patrick levelled himself into a fold by putting villain on the absolute top of his range by folding that. He only loses to AK and the pocket pairs that made houses. The combos of which are fractionally tiny compared to his bluffs. This is basic stuff guys... Patrick made a bad fold right there and he knows it. He over thought it, convinced himself that he was up against the nuts. (Obviously he loses all the Ax that makes boats too thus increasing the number of hands he loses to, still a small number versus bluffs he can have there)

He bluffed this once but he also takes the same line with the nuts as well, being capped would imply he can never have the nuts.
Villain started the hand with 96bb ... He knows that he can afford the lose and all in Vs Patrick and still be 2nd in chips after the hand. Assuming he's playing icm properly, which is a better assumption than thinking he's top of his nut range is a better assumption. And again so no one thinks I'm hating, it was a horrible spot, I really like Patrick's videos, and I think his play afterwards to chip into a lead was amazing and probably in Patrick's mind vindicated his play and decision making process.

Never seen such an average/bad reg run so good and get a few big Binks which allows them to play poker for a living the rest of his life because he's decent enough to randomly get scores basically a break even player that just got a few big scores in one year and now can just sit on it forever and let those random lucky big scores come in in the next 5 years to keep them at about the same amount of money in his role so sick just meant to be for some people that Ace 9 is the worst fold I've ever seen blind versus blind, you limp called pre you're never trapping with Ace King there let's not pretend that you're very unbalanced we all know you're not capable of doing that there you never do you're not limp calling or trapping Ace Queen you literally have no better hands I don't even think you're lymph flatting Ace 10 I guess that's the only possible better hand along with a six even pocket sixes are not lymph flatting or lymph jamming so I guess Ace 10 and A6 are the only two better hand you have and he knows that you never have Ace King you never have Ace Queen and like I said even Ace 10 you might lift jam so that's just awful
