They only asked for 2 things: our travel passport and the advance parole document ( in our case it was the EAD combo card) they took those 2 documents to their office and asked us to have a seat ( by the way we had to seat in the secondary screening area because this process takes a few minutes and they didn’t want to hold up the customs and immigration line with this). We sat there for about 15 minutes and then one of the officers brought our documents back and said “welcome back !” .

Hello! USCIS updated status for travel docs to 'Advanced Parole was Produced' However, for the EAD, there hasn't been an update on the website since March. We filed for both at same time. I saw in comments something about a combo card. Is there a chance USCIS has processed both at same time??
Usually if you apply for an EAD Card and advance parole at the same time, you get an EAD Card that also serves as an advance parole document. This is called the combo card. Let us know when you receive it! Congratulations!!! Also they sometimes don’t update the online profile adequately

Yes we travelled while I-485 was pending. We did not file concurrently. From start to finis h, it took 4 months for I-140 approval and 12 months for 1-485 approval

Yes you can. Also you can travel multiple times too, if it is listed for multiple entries( and until the expiration of the document). We only used ours once before we got our green card, but when we applied for the advance parole, we listed our home country, but ended up using it for our trip to Japan.

They have some requirements( the visa fee was less than $30, they also wanted to know the reason for our visit, where we planned to stay and what activities we planned to engage in. did you only file a form I-765 for EAD renewal? the fee is waived for advance parole(form I-131) If filed with the form I-485. so are you also adjusting your status?

A little confused. Advance parole is I-131 do you mean I-130? If so everyone will receive a notice for the next steps. I am guessing your I-140 has been approved ? If so the next step for you should be the adjustment of status and the next step for the husband would be consular processing.

I’m hoping it’s not late and he will be here for longer than that. I got my notice and he will get a notice or call or something that says he has an appointment for finger prints and then after that I think he gets his travel visa. I just don’t know how long it will take for his appointment.

you have to realize that there are individuals with approved I-140's who cannot get their green cards because their priority date is not current (Indian and Chinese nationals). Some of these individuals regularly travel using their advance parole documents. yes there is a risk, if you travel while your application is pending on advance parole documents if your application gets denied while you are outside the US then that would be problematic. also every time you come into the US using advance parole document the decision to admit you into the US rests with the officials.

African Princess in America I looked on the USCIS website and it can be sent after once your I-485 is still processing and you have form I-765 attached to it showing you paid the filing fee for the I-485 and it was received. I stayed up looking as I want to mail it in today while my application is still in the processing status.

Remember not i-765 (that's the application for employment authorization). send a copy of Form I-797C Notice of Action showing that the I-485 was received by USCIS. You should have gotten that in the mail after I-485 was submitted and received by USCIS. on a separate note, i-765 can be submitted for free with i-485. if you haven't already done that, you can include it with your i-131 and turn those in. this will enable you to have a valid EAD card to work (usually valid for 1 year) while your adjustment of status process is going on.

Yes it does! IT is usually written on the card. Mine was valid for 1 year. The card is to enable you travel (advance parole) and work (EAD) while your application is pending. hope that that helps

Your green card hasn’t been approved yet, and since you have a doubt can you wait till you get the approval (after the interview) before traveling?

Yes it does! IT is usually written on the card. Mine was valid for 1 year. The card is to enable you travel (advance parole) and work (EAD) while your application is pending. hope that that helps
Yeeeeey just got my combo card today and my 130 is already approve can I travel without my original passport even though it’s expired? Did you only travel with the combo without passport
