I truly appreciate you for making this video. I'm a bus driver and now I have dabble in the pressure washing business. I currently wash our school buses. At $75 a bus it's been nice. So far so good. I had issues with my first wash, but now I have figured out faster ways to wash. But I still don't have a trailer or reels or tank. But I'm almost there. Thanks again.
Good video, I’m starting my pressure washing business in Texas and saving up money to upgrade this is a good set up, good video, when you have a Chance make a video of how you hook up the battery and water pump
Looking good Joe. Take the little filter out of Your PW and install a good online filter on the garden hose you installed (a 1 inch from tractor supply will do.) Also noticed you are using some camlocks on your hoses, Nice! Trailer looks.much more balanced now and should be safer on the road. Noticed you had a spare 12 volt on there too... move your fuse for the SW pump to the other end of the wire closer to the battery... and you got a spare tire and a back up hose/reel!!!!! Good job!!!
@joeallenpressurewashing yea 1" nipple to the filter then back down to the 3/4 to the pw... or if your planning ahead 1 inch all the way to the pw. But may as well.all the parts you already have. I actually use a filter going into the tank and one coming out of the tank. Never had a problem with the pw being clogged or the reels either...
Thanks for making this video. What about strapping down your SH tank? Aren't you worried about it tipping or being lost in traffic? There's always a potential ticket for not having it strapped. It's called an "unsecured load”. It's a vague umbrella term that they will use to write a ticket for almost anything. I got an unsecured load ticket for emptying my water tank while driving. I was told they can write it for any old thing. Best of luck to you!
That’s interesting. It’s kind of wedged in there right now so I don’t imagine it tipping over, but it can definitely shift a bit. I probably do need to strap it down. Appreciate the advice!
I found a clip from Austin Davis he did a video of how to set your garden hose reel up for pressure washing your videos rock hope you could do a similar take
I made my setup too complicated, I have an air compressor piped into the top of my tank that I can regulate so I have pressurized water from my tank to both machines I have as well as just a rinse hose
Been watching power washing videos all week trying to figure out what I needed and how I need to set up my rig, your video was by far the most helpful! What kind of pump do you have for the soft wash? How long can that battery run it? And what type of work do you do “soft wash”??
@@joeallenpressurewashing the supply end is usually closest to the hose reel your reel is staying close to the pressure washer then you run the supply end of the hose to the house for your supply
I have heard that as long as the water level in the tank is above the pump height it should have enough force for the pump. I have never tried a direct drive machine. Thanks for watching 😃
I also like me a good Bubly, Blackberry is my favorite though. Are you able to run your surface cleaner off the same machine your injector is plugged into (without it pulling any chems)? Does your PSI get affected much? I have an xjet but I really am considering just down streaming. Appreciate the video buddy!
The only way the injector pulls chemical is if the tip on the gun isn’t a high pressure tip. When you put a high pressure tip on, it won’t allow chem to be siphoned. Only works with black tip, m5 twist, and other lower pressure tips. So yes, I do use my surface cleaner with the DS injector attached. I do think it decreases pressure slightly as well when it’s attached. Also decreased pressure because of 200ft of pressure hose. Great question I hope I answered it sufficiently.

Great advice brother man! Should I put a one inch barb where the garden hose normally goes?

Was wondering how you changed the garden hose fittings on your reel so the reel stays by the machine the hose is the opposite direction
I’m confused. Email your question joe@japwjax.com

Best explanation video I’ve found on TH-cam! If the machine is still 4.0 gpm 4000 psi but not belt driven will it still be fine for gravity fed?

John how do u get most of your work?

What’s the capacity of that buffer tank and the tow capacity of your vehicle?

When you use the soft wash, are you not using any sh or how are you getting it into that hose?
I usually know I’m gonna use it before I leave and I will batch mix a drum for it.
