Hell yah. i loved her during the one shots that she appeared in and so was hoping Laura would bring her back.. instant fist pump when she did. i', loving seeing the depths of the character that were merely hinted at in the one shots.
30 minutes? Nah, I was watching that live when they first announced those shirts. They were sold out before they finished talking about them. It took maybe 3 minutes.
Yeah, I was going to say the same thing. I remember seeing that when they were in the middle of announcing them, and Marisha was reading from her phone and broke in with "And they're all sold out". And Matt's jaw dropped.
I just watched a clip of it. Took almost exactly two minutes between the announcement of the existence if the site and someone off screen informing the cast that the t-shirts were sold out. Their reactions are priceless and the clip is hilarious.
DnD Beyond is putting out great stuff, this interviewer is great at letting the interviewee say just as much as they want but moving forward whenever it naturally stalls. Doesn't seem forced at all.
This is great, I love that Beyond and Critical Role are working together so much. And I would pay good money for an animated series based on Vox Machinas story. That would be incredible.
Attack Helicopter Surely I would have heard about this?... There's some fan animations, which are great, but still ameture level using the actualy game audio. Or may be you are confused about the comics from Dark Horse? Which again is really cool, but it's no animated series.
there was something done on this, it might not be from geek and sundry. do you mean like a full scale cartoon series or anime? i meant that short little cartoons had been made. that really would be awesome.
Attack Helicopter Oh yeah I know of a few animations made by some really talented fans, but that's not what I meant. I'm talking like a professional product with original VO by the cast and everything. Laura was talking about something like that (or a video game) as like a hypothetical dream project. I doubt it will ever actually happen because it would be a huge risk for G&S, but we can dream lol.
The more of Laura Bailey I see on Critical Role, the more I'm convinced that in another life she'd have made an excellent spy. She has a sort of "neutral reference monitor" face that looks very plain at rest but takes on her emotions strongly, and she just looks so natural and in place no matter if she's dressed for an awards ceremony or like a woman going to Walgreens for a bottle of gin. Her acting talents and improvisational skills synergize so well with this that you just know she'd have an easy time convincing people that no, this beautiful girl chatting me up at the bar couldn't possibly be the frumpy lady I saw going through filing cabinets on the military base earlier in the week...
I hope WotC understand how much their show revived D&D. I wouldn't be running a game or playing right now if it wasn't for the show, that means my 7 players wouldn't be playing either and I'm sure not the only one who has started playing because of the show.
I knew about Dungeons&Dragons because the game name gets thrown out a lot randomly. Someone told me to watch Critical Role and I immediately got super hooked. Started playing 2 months ago and love EVERY session. I wish I could find another group to join with so I could play more Dx
D&D owns a lot to them, they could just keep playing Pathfinder and their popularity would be the same since the game system barely matters with how they roleplay, but D&D would not get their sweet Mathew Mercer and company in their side.
Laura Bailey, one of my all-time favorite voice actors and D&D players. Congratulations too on the little Critter! And, Laura, anyone who wouldn't cast you for any role (animated or otherwise) as a sultry sex kitten clearly would not be legally sane.
Ah man. The amount of love and pride and happiness I feel now when she said how she would love for VM or TM9 to be featured in a "cartoon or a video game or something" and knowing how sucessful their kickstarter was is just... wow. They deserve all the success in the world for their amazing contribuition to storytelling.
Laura, Travis, Matt, Marisha, Taliesin, and Sam saved my life and helped me through some of the things that she talked about in this video. They all feel like my old friends, and I think their openness and positivity only enhances that feeling. In other news, keep up the great work DnD Beyond.
Laura Bailey was fantastic that she did the voice of Serana from the Skyrim video game of all and Serana was one of my favorite Characters while she was a very special Vampire then the other Vampires and I like Vampires. 😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😊😊😊😊❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖😉💘💘💘💘💘💘💘💘💘💘💘
Oh, so Laura's favourite is Arcanum? Damn, and here I thought it was a niche, forgotten game that not many people really remember, let alone deem to be their favourite. Glad to know there's more of us who love this gem. Unpolished and rough at times, but a gem nonetheless. For anyone who doesn't know the game but wants to check it out on the sole basis that Laura likes it - DO IT! It's "Arcanum: Of Steamworks and Magick Obscura". I can't recommend it enough.
gotta get those community patches though, but indeed, then you have a great and quirky game that doesnt hold your hand and is open to an extend we dont see anymore these days.
Troika was awesome. Their Temple of Elemental Evil was the kind of D&D game I wish someone made on the 5e ruleset, and Bloodlines...well. It was Bloodlines, it speaks for itself.
Yeah, the intro is... intriguing (he, he, he...) enough to overlook the dated graphics and immerse oneself into the game. Two mysteries are presented to the player at the very start - the crash of the zeppelin, followed by a request of a strange gnome to "find a boy", and for those who could've ignored the man, you have a mystery regarding your very character, as there's another man approaching you and explaining you're a god incarnate. And regarding memorable moments in the game, beware [!SPOILER ALERT! !SPOILER ALERT! !SPOILER ALERT!] The game that lets you convince the evil god that he's wrong (which takes masterful charisma, intelligence, willpower and persuasion to even attempt) and turn him to your side, among many other possible endings, is a great RPG indeed. [END OF SPOILERS]
Critical Role animated series! Vox Machina's epic tale has enough content to easily fill a year or more of weekly episodes, and by the time it's done, season 2's group will be wrapping up their own stories... this could be an ongoing franchise and millions would watch it
Glad she chose Jester. I have a huge crush on her character, haha. I'd say I had a little crush on Laura also, but I don't want Travis to find me... Wait
I have always enjoyed RPG games more bc there's more options, customization, freedom, choice. I can make and be almost anyone and they can be a hero and do grand things. RPG adventure games like Elder Scrolls and Dragon Age and FF XIV were all so important to my approach to characters and storytelling and it was so fun. I still play most of these today and DnD is very much in the same vein as these games, which is part of what I love about it. I also love social interaction and my best characters were built after I bounced ideas off of a friend or my mom or somebody else. My best work happens when I can talk through things and refine it with someone else, I love social interaction and teamwork and understanding individual vs. group motivations and DnD gives me all of that and the fantasy adventure I love as a bonus.
Only reason my entire family and I ever got in to DnD was because of Critical Role. Anyway, in the off chance that they see this comment, CONGRATS ON DA BABY LAURA AND TRAVIS!
Watching this in 2019 after their Kickstarter campaign broke almost 11.5 million. Laura talking about bringing the Vox Machina to a new medium is crazy.
Laura Bailey is the one who did the voice of Serana the Vampire Character in Skyrim also and she's brilliant how she played her from the video game because I like her too also and I guarantee it. 😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😊❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖😉💘💘💘💘💘💘💘💘💘💘💘
Seeing Laura in this video, while they aren't currently recording and playing together as The Mighty Nein made me realize how much I miss these people. Everyone of them is such a lovely person. I love them so, so much. I hope everyone is doing fine and feeling well. I almost teared up seeing her again. Don't forget to love each other and is it Thursday, yet?
There is apparently something in the works with Vox Machina.....but all are keeping it under severe wraps. I was watching a ECCC interview of Laura and Travis that said that we might not have seen the last of Vox Machina and they weren't talking about the comic.....other wise they would have just said the comic.
I really like Jester's quirks and mannerisms and how well Laura Bailey plays her. A true pleasure to watch. Only problem is, our GM is using the your current 2nd campaign as inspiration and since we all are big fans, I need to stay a couple of episodes away from the current episode. It's really cool to see these amazing and talented people, who remain accessible and humble, enjoy themselves playing D&D and beyond our wildest expectations, grant us the pleasure and honour of sharing their experience and eagerly following their adventures.
She is fabulous. The first game i've seen her was maybe Resi 5.She was amazing there. She was also fabulous as Mrs. Ross in the Uncharted games and she spoke well with south african accent. She was Mary Jane Watson in the Spider-Man game and it goes without saying that she absolutly nailed the character, in fact the story for that game and the dialogues were the best i've ever seen in a Spider-Man related creation.
I think it would be cool if there was an actual TV series or movie produced based on critical role. There are situations that arise you can't imagine or make up and since it is a story told by the cast it is a story of everyone.
I’m just starting on their first campaign and am completely enthralled. Her character is starting to rise up to be one of my favourites alongside Travis character, Grog. She mentioned being interested in voice acting for another medium like a video game or a cartoon. Wouldn’t it be awesome if enough animators, background artists, audio technicians and light-technicians came together to make that? A CR cartoon?! I myself study to become an animator (and a DM) and would love to work on something like this. That people from all parts of the world would work on this to show support! This could also perhaps be an opportunity for up-and-coming voice actors out there who could be the NPCs, as well as others trying to get in the cartoon-making branch. Anyway, that just an Idea that will need a lot of organising, but if one is willing, then it’s possible. PS: If this is already underway, how do I show support?
*Jaw drops* I didn't think anybody else had ever played Arcanum! I frickin' loved that game. So much that when the only copy I could get my hands on was in French, I played through with a french dictionary, translating as I went.
Anybody notice that they passed the interview, and that she started crying and then a let her compose herself, and it started from that point but she kind of Sniffles a little yeah that's because she was crying a lot, must been a tough life
I see anyone from Critical Role. I click. But Laura and Travis just seem so down to earth Derpy in a good way. I love the videos of them. Matthews was great as well. Very emotional but great :)
I got hooked on Critical Role after I fell in love with Jester Voice when I heard it on a oneshot about a tavern infested with rats (but a giant appeared and then they destroyed half the tavern). ♥
LOVE THE IDEA OF RECAPPING THE SHOW! I can barely stay awake that late when I have to get up so early and I find myself dozing off. Man! Is that gonna be awesome to have
Laura Dawn Bailey is an American voiceover actor, known by playing character Emily and Glitter Lucky in Netflix’s Glitter Force, Foofa in Nick Junior’s Yo Gabba Gabba!, Pink in Netflix’s Pokémon: The Series: Sun and Moon, known professionally as Team Skull, and for Laura Bailey’s Yee-Haw Game Ranch.
You know, this is funny, I just had a dream last night about Critical Role, they were filming a netflix like show instead of doing the episodes, I was kinda sad that they didn't stream anymore, but started to be intrigued and enjoyed watching them actually act... I don't exactly know the logic of my dream, considering how much harder it is to fully cast makeup setup film edit produce and all that bs, an episode at the quality I've seen, but it did make me think how cool it would be. The coolest thing, although actually kinda weird, is that during the episode Talisen turned into Percy, as he stood forward toward an npc, they were standing in a green gloomy blue-ish forest, and then it kinda became a merge of the two campaigns, although I still considered it the "new campaign"... Maybe I dreamt about the future! where they will continue the new campaign but actually produce internet high quality production acting episodes of the previous one! dude... that'll be dope as all hell! maybe youtube red can produce it, and do 1 single good thing with their failure of a platform xD
"A really cool thing would be combining the two. Bringing our characters to a new medium." Jump to now after the ludicrously successful Kickstarter for the Vox Machina animated series.
Holy hell, I only just realized you and Travis are Lust and Roy!!! I've been saying "did you know the voice actors of lust and Roy are married in real life?" for years. And I've been watching critical role and loved your energy. And now this, Roy vs Lust is amazing and Roy is my favorite character.
I've never paid attention to voice actors until I saw a video of her singing "Daughter of the Sea." I saw her pic in the thumbnail for this video and I clicked.
"THE MIGHTY NEIN, let's see if that sticks."
-Laura Bailey 08-03-2018
Also there is an animation coming out soon. The universe heard Laura's words, now it's reality
this aged well. They did indeed bring their characters to an animated medium and it was epic
Laura's ultimate dream was bringing the characters to life in a different medium, and look at them now, 2nd season of LoVM renewed
I deeply hope The Mighty Nein gets the same treatment.
@Alchemist You're in luck, my friend
I'm a simple person; I see Laura Bailey, I click.
I have seen this comment 4 times today, on 4 videos, about 4 different people, Is this apparently a meme I didn't know about?
It is indeed a meme, though I don't know it's origin.
lips
“You see, I’m a guy of simple tastes: I enjoy dynamite, and gunpowder, and GASOLINE!”
Kirby163 same
I got attached to Jester disturbingly quickly. She is by far my favorite of the new cast. I mean I love them all but Jester pwns.
Right there with you.
Hell yah. i loved her during the one shots that she appeared in and so was hoping Laura would bring her back.. instant fist pump when she did. i', loving seeing the depths of the character that were merely hinted at in the one shots.
Gotta go with Fjord on that one. So nice seeing Travis play a character that he actually gets to do more versatile things with.
which one shots did she play her in? i can't recall which it was in.
SAME I’d love nothing more than to cosplay her
30 minutes? Nah, I was watching that live when they first announced those shirts. They were sold out before they finished talking about them. It took maybe 3 minutes.

I mean, atleast it's on brand. They got the 800k for their kickstarter in like an hour.
DnD Beyond is putting out great stuff, this interviewer is great at letting the interviewee say just as much as they want but moving forward whenever it naturally stalls. Doesn't seem forced at all.
Laura Bailey = Best girl.
Jester = best girl.
Best voice actress in the biz, that's for sure!
@Dutch Plan Der Linde yeah
This is great, I love that Beyond and Critical Role are working together so much.
And I would pay good money for an animated series based on Vox Machinas story. That would be incredible.
theyve been working on a small animated series of vox machina, episodes are available.
Attack Helicopter Surely I would have heard about this?... There's some fan animations, which are great, but still ameture level using the actualy game audio. Or may be you are confused about the comics from Dark Horse? Which again is really cool, but it's no animated series.

Laura Bailey’s performances elevate every game she’s in, she’s just awesome.

I didn’t start playing because of critical role but it taught me lots
Agreed!! I just played my first DnD session ever last week because of this show!
I knew about Dungeons&Dragons because the game name gets thrown out a lot randomly. Someone told me to watch Critical Role and I immediately got super hooked. Started playing 2 months ago and love EVERY session. I wish I could find another group to join with so I could play more Dx

Goodness, she has a lovely smile :)

There is something special about the feeling of sitting at the table with them. Kinda like hanging out.
Poor Liam and Ashely 😅
I'm so glad she chose to revisit her role as a Tiefling, her character is such a delight to listen to.
I had met critical role at a signing (minus liam and ashley). They were all so wonderful and gracious. What a great bunch of people.

KubinWielki I really enjoyed that game despite its flaws. Didn't know it was on steam. Might have to replay it now.
gotta get those community patches though, but indeed, then you have a great and quirky game that doesnt hold your hand and is open to an extend we dont see anymore these days.
The game had me as soon as I saw orcs flying byplanes.

I was never really depressed, but in general just having your guys voices there sometimes is... Something special.
The work (play) that Laura and her friends do is really special, unique and appreciated.
She is a very pretty lady.
hahahahaha I'm just thinking of Patrick blushing when he said "you're pretty :=DDD"
You are a very pretty Lady.
ehhhh debatable
@@Gamebreaker08 Yeah, the "lady" part xD Pretty though, she is
♡♡I am in love with her♡♡♡
7:33 seeing this in 2022 really brings me joy

Glad she chose Jester. I have a huge crush on her character, haha. I'd say I had a little crush on Laura also, but I don't want Travis to find me... Wait
why not crush on both?
Watch out he'll bust out his REGULAR GNOLL
Rhett Davis - someone in a few years is going to read this comment and be very confused.
It's fine cause i have the biggest crush on Travis
michael zietz careful, Laura will cut you

laura is so adorable she is literally the reason i got into d&d
Watching this in 2019 after their Kickstarter campaign broke almost 11.5 million. Laura talking about bringing the Vox Machina to a new medium is crazy.
Laura Bailey is *so cool*! I'm so glad we got to hear from her :^)
Laura is my favorite. I admire her so much. I loved Vex and I love Jester and just. Yes. A joy to watch these interviews.

Laura is amazing, one of my favs of all time
"Combinging the two" - Laura Bailey speaks
I hear "Let's do an animated series for Critical Role"
Nate Lampp That would be awesome!
There is apparently something in the works with Vox Machina.....but all are keeping it under severe wraps. I was watching a ECCC interview of Laura and Travis that said that we might not have seen the last of Vox Machina and they weren't talking about the comic.....other wise they would have just said the comic.
And here we are, end of April 2019, and The Legend of Vox Machina is funded and in pre-production.
boy you must feel like nostradamus but without the doom right now!
I remember the first shirts. Actually managed to get one. My envelope had a signature from Pike on it.
I really like Jester's quirks and mannerisms and how well Laura Bailey plays her. A true pleasure to watch. Only problem is, our GM is using the your current 2nd campaign as inspiration and since we all are big fans, I need to stay a couple of episodes away from the current episode.

Congratulations Laura+Travis!!!!!!
Laura Bailey is awesome. Both as a roleplayer but more importantly as a person.
God I’m glad she decided to play jester. She’s so much fun talking to the party!
Jester is my favorite of the new characters. Laura is my favorite of the cast, even tho I love them all, she wins my heart T_T
Laura Bailey is a national treasure and should be given a Nobel peace prize.
How cool would a turn based strategy RPG video game of Critical Role be.
I would pay all the monies for vox machine in an anime or game.
I love her voice. From Russia with love :)
Thank you "Beyond", for providing content users appreciate!
I think it would be cool if there was an actual TV series or movie produced based on critical role. There are situations that arise you can't imagine or make up and since it is a story told by the cast it is a story of everyone.
Didn't she do Serana in Skyrims voice
Tim Silcox yep

AHHH...an Arcanum shout out...that game was one of the greatest all time!!!
Just when I thought I couldnt like Laura more.. she digs Arcanum?! such a good game.
I don't want critical role but I suddenly want to play Saints Row 3 again. Female 1 is the only Boss!!

Man, Travis Willingham sure is lucky to have such an awesome wife!
LOVE THE IDEA OF RECAPPING THE SHOW! I can barely stay awake that late when I have to get up so early and I find myself dozing off. Man! Is that gonna be awesome to have

Jester is infectious. Ya know, like herpes. Well, I guess if herpes was good. Good herpes? Yep, Jester is definitely good herpes.
Corvus5200 I totally read all of that in Jester's accent.
*AGGRESSIVE SYPHILIS*

Strangest compliment ever. lol

"The mighty nein. Lets see if that sticks" I think it has laura ;)
OMG! LAURA BAILEY PLAYED ARCANUM!!!!!!!(And yes it IS on steam and is FANTASTIC!!!!!!!!!)
I never knew they replaced her with alexis Tipton as kid trunks in DBS. They sound so much alike!
You know, this is funny, I just had a dream last night about Critical Role, they were filming a netflix like show instead of doing the episodes, I was kinda sad that they didn't stream anymore, but started to be intrigued and enjoyed watching them actually act...

Jump to now after the ludicrously successful Kickstarter for the Vox Machina animated series.
Laura you're such an awesome person, and a really great actress. ♥♥♥
i gotta mad crush on her
Omg she said Arcanum!!! I love it!!
would love a Critical Role Cartoon or Video Game
As someone who taught themselves to spell by playing old Sierra games, I'm giddy about the KQ and QFG shout out.
Ok, so now I want a Baldur's Gate or Pillars of Eternity-like but with Vox Machina or Mighty Nein characters. Didn't know I needed that, but I do.
She mentioned Kings Quest! I'm sold forever!
Laura, Jester's my favorite of them all. So so good!
"taking the characters to other media" Live action series of the Vox Machina campaign would be amazing.
She is such a treasure.
I want to gently and lovingly hold Laura's hand, only with the consent and blessing of both her and Travis.
I think the "Mighty Nein" stuck. Also, Legend of Vox Machina Animated Series!
❤Laura Bailey. I wll watch her always. She's an incredible talent
I’d like to see her do more anime with Funimation & Sentai! She was awesome in Soul Eater, FMA Brotherhood & Negima & Fruits Basket
She just gave a shout out to Arcanum that's some super nerd cred.
serana?
Kinaar Ozeat Lucina?
Yep
& Saints Row
And our favorite dhampir Rayne
Jester is so great so far
I love this woman
_I'm listening now... father._
I've never paid attention to voice actors until I saw a video of her singing "Daughter of the Sea." I saw her pic in the thumbnail for this video and I clicked.
6:05 - Or the entirety of 2020... I'm so glad I found CR. I only wish it had been sooner.
Critical Role video game....oh please have this become a thing....
I feel like that would be a lot more difficult than a CR anime. I think I'd actually prefer it in anime form, anyway (can't believe I'm saying that.)
yeah you guys are helping me a lot, i forgot that there are cool people out there, and that i don’t have to accept a terrible life
Crossing m'fingers that this wonderful individual will return for Akali part 2.
She makes the best champion even better.
Duh, she's voiced Serana in Skyrim, who we all love
I would love an animated series of Critical Role 😍
