Peter also refused to take a picture with me at a show, but I mean you gotta look at things from his perspective. I'm pretty sure one of the reasons he stopped touring with mac was that he likes his privacy and being home, ever notice that HOMESHAKE plays relatively few shows and tours very little? I'm sure he appreciates that people enjoy his music but I think he just likes keeping to himself. it's like one guy said on here, "I don't have to like an artist to like his music".
Idk, some people shared stories of meeting him and how he was nice to them, so I don't think he's really the elusive type. Sounds like he was just in an asshole mood that day or simply didn't want to talk to fans.
Home shake came to Guelph a couple years ago and played a small venue with a sub-par sound check....now, the place was packed because Guelph = loves homeshake....he had tones of fans around.... he ended up commenting on how he’s never coming back to Guelph. That was a bummer.

The door to my bedroom then exploded off the hinges, and Peter ran into my room, grabbed my bass, and started smashing it while yell "The Who! I'm Who!" Over and over again. After a minute or so of frenzied bass smashing, Peter looked me in the eye and said "If anyone asks, my name is Mac Demarco" Looking forward to seeing Peter Perform in Chicago in October!
I listened without the headphones and the vibe was way more ethereal.. idk. Now with the headphone 🎧 i pay too much attention to the bass and it doesn't help to reach the same vibe again. These notes echoing though the air and only them, has a mysterious, clean. It take me to clean, mysterious, like that path adult link takes to forest temple, idk, it would play there (without the monsters though). I'm talking about cloudy day peace.
