The amount of practice and natural talent to become as good as these guys is near impossible to achieve. Just because you're used to sports where you bound around doesn't mean that's all that should be in the Olympics. This sport is extremely well respected and should absolutely be in the Olympics.

It seems like it's hard to be consistent with the routine for these one handed bowlers. They slide forward and it's hard to control the consistency of that slide compared to Belmonte's routine where he builds up spin on the ball using both hands.
It's the same difficulty either way, and there is no spin imparted by the second hand. Think of it like a guide hand. It's only job is to help you get the ball in the proper direction. Once you get to the bottom of the swing, that left hand (right for lefties) comes off the ball and the only hand to impart any revs is the right.
Grand Coracle they said it on a show once and did the technique talk thing, basically he is double jointed so he can get his hand another half round the ball than other players can which allows him to generate so many revs. Also as a lefty as well I know how much of an advantage it can be to throw urethane whenever we can and to have that many revs is why Jakob does so well with urethane

I don't agree with calling Belmonte the Greatest of all time just because he has won more majors than Earl Anthony & Pete Weber. I say this because it's an unfair comparison if you really think about it. Could Belmonte win as many major titles as he has if he was bowling with the same type of bowling balls & lanes as Anthony & Weber? Also Could Anthony & Weber have won more major titles if they were bowling in their primes with today's lanes & Balls? As I said in another post those questions you really can't answer. You have to Remember that When Anthony and Weber were in their primes winning their majors most of the lanes were wood unlike today where most of them are synthetic also they didn't have the reactive resin, & core balanced balls you have today. I wouldn't say either Anthony or Weber are the greatest of all time either for the same reasons. Is Belmonte the greatest of this generation? Yes absolutely. Are Anthony & Weber the greatest of their generation? Yes absolutely. But none of them are the greatest of all time because they didn't play under the same conditions.

I make a similar argument with Tiger Woods being considered the greatest the competition is noticeably less you either have young guys who are here today gone tomorrow or fading veterans whereas 20-30 yrs ago you had 1-2+ HOF'rs practically every televised match day & 1 more thing Jason is a great majors tourney bowler but he's not even in the Top 10 of all time tourney wins so he either saves himself(like Tiger in his later years) for the majors (which gives him an advantage) as opposed to bowling 30-35 tourneys/year or he is quite inconsistent otherwise
Belmo has 11 majors and counting. At the clip he is going, he could get 20 majors. Belmo's first major came six years ago (2013 USBC Masters) That's unreal.
