It literally feels like a 2018 version of MS1 and I love that. I feel like I can recreate my childhood Maplestory memories in Maplestory 2 as an adult. Extremely excited for the release of Maplestory 2.
Yep I'm really disappointed. They ruined the game a long time before they closed it anyway. Terribly poor management of the game. It had such potential and they threw it all away. Oh well, even though it's sad it's time to move on.

The music most certainly plays a role in this. While not as ear catching as the first, the songs are incredibly pleasant to explore with and really help shape the story driven narrative that MS2 seems to focus more on than MS1. If you ever get to playing MS2, let's party up! (:

Even with the nostalgia factor, I think it's unique to where it's cute and fun enough to stand on its own, despite the masterpiece that was MS1. It certainly has its faults, but considering the art (which I greatly enjoy) and the amount of fun minigames this one seems to focus on, I say give it a shot!

I never played Maplestory before but I watched the anime: Konosuba! and the story is in a fantasy world and an RPG game too, with a thief, mage, knight, and priest as the protagonists. MS2 looked really fun you can play with friends and RPG, so that's why I want to play MS2 :)
I don't think nexon made them. Nexon published the game, nsquare developed the game. And since ms2 is still a korean product, the music team is probably koreans aswell.
This is sad. It maybe wasn't the best game in the world, it had it's flaws, but still it's sad that it's shutting down. I don't understand why they put so much work into this game, and then they just shut down it after 1 year.
@@majimalover1 I've been following them on reddit and there're an insane amount of negativity from the players demanding the game to be less cash-grabbing. The recent change related to the cash shop boxes was made to align NA server to JP and KR business model received so much backlashes. GM was constantly on the subreddit explaining the company's decisions. They announced the shut down 1 week after that. One of the player's argument was "it's March but the login screen is still showing snow. Just shows how much they care about the game" and GM answered that winter ends in mid March and that it is scheduled to show spring theme in late March/early April. Player ignored response and continue to complain about something else of course.
Man I'm not gonna doubt how many things wrong there was in ms2 And there was alot, an INSANE amount of problems that, if were fixed sooner, could've kept the game alive for a little bit longer. All that said, compared to the trash 1 button grind that we still have right now.. Ms2 had so much life in it, this is still what I think of when it comes to mmos. Bossing, dailies, weeklies, mini games, meeting people and chilling..
I still miss playing this game till this very day. I love coming back to this playlist to reminisce about the stuff I did on there. I really wish this game continued in global, what a hidden gem this was.
