I think it was the right reaction. I mean how would anyone be able to react to that. We watched the seasons. We understood. Melissa is the mother of a true alpha. Sometimes their isn’t any reaction and sometimes you get what Melissa did. I don’t think anyone really blames her for it tho.
No one's blaming Melissa, we're just saying it was a heartbreaking scene when she was looking at Scott and crying, she looked like she was scared of Scott and I'm sure she was, but who wouldn't be scared when you see your son's with his eyes shining, beard growing on his cheeks, claws and fangs, elongated ears, everyone would be afraid
This broke my heart and then when it was revealed in S3 Episode 7 - Currents that Melissa wouldn’t even look him in the eye for at least week, I just started sobbing.

I remember this. First time I watched it and till now I knew that Melissas reaction to scott was appropriate and didn’t see him as a monster but was wondering “What happened to my son? How did he become this? Why couldn’t I prevent this from happening to him?” My theory tho heheh.
