    All these chain repair videos start with removing the end of the roller blind but what if the roller blind is fixed tightly in an alcove and there's no space to pull it sideways. I'd like to see the process starting from when the roller blind is in situ.

    • @iseekblinds
      @iseekblinds  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Ryan!
      Our apologies for the delayed reply.
      Please email our team at sales@iseekblinds with your mailing address, and we will post some joiners out for you. It's best to use your existing chain with the chain drive as they will wear together.
      When you repair the chain, just make sure the joiner is moved to the correct position so it doesn’t interfere with the blind rolling up and down as the joiner will not go through the chain drive.
      If you have any further queries, please contact our team direct on 1300 664 257 or sales@iseekblinds.com.au.
      Thanks,
      Mike

    How to fix broken chain of roller blind with a fix palmet ? How to get to the area do I need to remove palmet first or I can still fix it with the palmet on. I appreciate your help .

    • @iseekblinds
      @iseekblinds  2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hello, you will firstly need to take our roller out of the Pelmet. If the roller is in a Pelmet 95, then it can come out just like any standard single roller as the brackets for the roller are within the pelmet :)

  • @carlosspicyweiner1885
    @carlosspicyweiner1885 ปีที่แล้ว

    Unfortunately my chain drive didn't look like that. The chain drive had no internal tab and there was a spring barrel that ran the width of the blind. I had to feed the weak old chain out and put the new (hopefully stronger) chain in, before using a joiner to connect the two ends of the chain together.

  • @anitawoollard7087

  • @susibrown655

    How do you measure the size for the chain replacement? What does drop size mean?

    • @iseekblinds
      @iseekblinds  8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hi @susibrown655, our chains are continuous loop which means there is no joining link. The size that you will see when ordering a chain is from 500mm to 2000mm. This size referred to the drop size of the chain which is measurement from the chain drive to the bottom of the chain. Ideally you want your chain drop to fall between your chest and belly button - this way it is not a safety issue for children - be sure to install a child safety device to secure the chain. Cheers Mike

  • @Chris-tc8sm
    @Chris-tc8sm 11 หลายเดือนก่อน

    Thanks for your video but chain drive didn’t look like any of the ones yo showed.
    I had to pinch together the two ends that were on one side of the chain drive which allowed it to come apart so I could fit the new chain in.
    Unfortunately its still not working 100% as theres a chain joiner and i don't know how to position the chain so the joiner does reach the top of the chain drive before the blind is totally rolled up. So it rolls up 3/4 of the way but that will have to do for now.

    • @iseekblinds
      @iseekblinds  8 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Hi Chris, check out this video @the 2min mark, I show you how to hold the chain drive to position the joining link in the right spot so you blinds will go fully up and down. cheers Mike th-cam.com/video/fXVf5NiL5Xc/w-d-xo.html

      Hi Alan
      Thanks for your comment.
      To join a broken chain, you will need a joiner.
      Feel free to email our team at sales@iseekblinds with your request, and they can get some joiners out to you. It's best to use your existing chain with the chain drive as they will wear together.
      When you repair the chain, just make sure the joiner is moved to the correct position so it doesn’t interfere with the blind rolling up and down as the joiner will not go through the chain drive.

    Another useless video. Most blinds are stuck up on the window and attached to mounting. You can’t just ‘pull the entire blind off and pull off the end ‘. Why do you ‘experts’ never show how to replace a chain to a blind in situ?

    • @iseekblinds
      @iseekblinds  3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hi there,
      We’re sorry to hear you didn’t find the video helpful. We understand that not all blinds are easy to remove. We do have a video on how to take down a roller blind that might be useful for you. Each blind can be a bit different, but we're always here to help with your DIY projects. Thank you for your feedback, and we’ll work on making our guides even more comprehensive.
