I can't describe how over the moon I am right now to learn that the Witch Spring series has made its way on steam. I'm just really happy that people are finally recognizing this beautiful game. All the way back when i played this on mobile and only in mobile, I can't see many people talk about it.
I am dumbfounded on how polished this simple game feels. What a glow up. Nothing felt cheap. Everything was lovely. And the combat does, what many indies now do. Fights go fast, really nothing hinders the next turn to roll up. Compare to ridiciolous Pokemon. You have loading times, or more precisely stretches of waiting after nearly every action. And after that, the action is painfully slow and barely animated.
I love this game and witch spring 3. I don't know who composes the music for the games but they're musical geniuses. The soundtrack in witch spring r is amazing. I love the aura temple and fire cave music. The battle music rocks too. I have a strange feeling the main character is gonna find out something tragic about her past and present. Hopefully it all ends well.
I feel in love with part 3, in large part if eirudy and the simple, yet fun gameplay. I would like for this to be brought to the switch, but if not I'll get it on pc.
Played the game and finished it im satisfied with the overall story and i can say that its pretty good with lovable characters and addictive jrpg mechanics. The only thing that i don't like is it does not have a new game+ or any additional content when you beat the story because all the hidden things can be discovered through the 1st playthrough. 8/10 for the rating hehe Note: you can summon up to 3 pets during battle later in the game depending on the cost of summoning that pet hehe
Saw this on the “coming soon” section of the Nintendo e-shop and decided to look up a review. Definitely looks fun, and love the portrait art. Might get it if it’s ever on sale
I like how the game is very cute and colorful, ye the world under all those cute stuff and colors is very brutal and violent. It was a very strong scene, where the main heroine said SPOILERS: That she doesn't care whether she dies. That she would rather risk her own life for a simple pie. That makes you wonder, what horrible things do happen in this world, that a girl that is 10-12 years at maximum says with a smile on her face Colorful, yet violent world, where little witches and warlocks are being brutally killed for money or status, a beautiful contrast
I see you guys posting back to back.. damn. I don't want to add to the stress but will you guys be reviewing fate samurai remnant ? waiting on the review from you guys to make the jump
What other games have you played this year? Considering getting this game as I want something straightforward before I tackle FF7 Rebirth. Witch Spring R looks interesting but no one talks about it!
The aesthetic is so good...but i have no idea why they didnt put some animations to the background (like the trees)...it feels so static...to much really....with some animations the game could gain so much charm..
i'm sure it'll come to switch at for sure. The dev put their all into this, I think if it fails they probably won't continue, but it's a good release from such a small group.
They added difficulty levels so you can choose now. I am playing on Hard and it seems pretty easy but I'm still in early-game. I'd recommend Very Hard mode for the biggest challenge.
While a remaster can only do so much with modeling and textures to update the game (from the looks of it, it still looks PS Vita/Mobile-ish), I'm impressed at how much the UI doesn't look like it's a mobile port. Maybe my expectation are so bottom of the barrel low when it comes to mobile ports. Alas, character design is lovely and the gameplay looks varied enough. Will probably wait for a Switch release tho.
Unfortunately not all remakes has a budget of $200 million like FF7re. Despite being redone from the ground up, it still looks like it's for vita or mobile.
@op7365 Saying it looks like a mobile game isnt the critcism you think it is, mobile games today look better than even switch games, look at the likes of genshin impact. This game also looks like the type of game Nintendo would put out
Ahhh yes my childhood games.. This games is underrated cuz no one knew about this game...i only play from witch spring 2 till 4 cuz witch spring 1 bit complicated + the game is same storyline as game 2 but different characters + origin but still same tho..
I have not played the mobile original of the game but i fully enjoyed this game... its a full fledge jrpg turn-based game that has nothing to do with any mobile elements just pure fun gameplay and traditional fantasy story with lovable characters u gotta try this if ur a jrpg fan hehe
I was able to tell that you have a limited number of braincells when you judged an overwhelmingly positive-rated game to be bad just because it has a mobile version.

The quality looks great, didn't know about the existence of this series until now, kinda surprised that it's not more known or marketed.
This unironically one of my favorite JRPGs. I never thought I'd enjoy this game as much as I do.
This game is a hidden gem!
Pieberry is such a good name.
I kinda feel like they shoulda called the game itself Pieberry. Witch Spring R isn't the most appealing sounding title imo but the game itself rocks.

Thanks for the review! Loved the 3rd game on the switch and didn't even know about this game. Fingers crossed for a future switch version.
Yea there’s a few that haven’t been talked about for a while.
My God NP! Make sure you guys have enough rest, ok?
That's so real. Thanks for looking out for us.
Thanks for this review
No problem!

The grumpy bird's name is a reference to coffee.. c'mon man😅
lol we're just having fun :)
You sold me at Black Joe.
I did play WitchSpring 3 and 4 on mobile and thought they were pretty good games. Especially WS3.
I see you guys posting back to back.. damn. I don't want to add to the stress but will you guys be reviewing fate samurai remnant ? waiting on the review from you guys to make the jump
indeed they did
This looks good. Any word on a Switch release?
honestly this game should make game of the year by far the best new game I played this year.

So cute
LOVED this game on mobile. happy to have a Pc version

there might not be a tutorial for the training minigames, but you can practice them. anyway this game absolutely rules
should i get this one or the witchspring 3 re fine?
>cute and funny brown witch
😭😭😭
0:49 this is dangerous she could fall off the ledge
I hope that this game gets released on Playstation in the future.

blk joe lmaoooooooooooooooooooooo im dead
Why can’t I just call him Joe!?!
Todays the day bro, wish granted~
Is there any challenge to this, or is it like the Atelier series?
They added difficulty levels so you can choose now. I am playing on Hard and it seems pretty easy but I'm still in early-game. I'd recommend Very Hard mode for the biggest challenge.
*Black Joe*
Will be playing on PC.

It's not a port. The remaster is developed from scratch, for PC and console only.
@@funkyyy__ Oh. That explains a lot actually if it's true.
@@Hambs23 You can look up the mobile version. The difference is night and day.
Unfortunately not all remakes has a budget of $200 million like FF7re. Despite being redone from the ground up, it still looks like it's for vita or mobile.

Suspicious Denial @ 1:20 😅
Looks whimsical and fun! Hope this one comes to Switch!
Yea it is coming to switch too..maybe arround june-july
It's here now
Ahhh yes my childhood games.. This games is underrated cuz no one knew about this game...i only play from witch spring 2 till 4 cuz witch spring 1 bit complicated + the game is same storyline as game 2 but different characters + origin but still same tho..
Pretty good game. get's even better after leaving the forest.
african american joseph
Haha he was Black Joe in the original too 😂 so at least they’re consistent
Is there an option for English voices or an option to turn the voices off?
How the hell does this mobile game cost 33 quids!? Everything above 20 bucks is highway robbery!
It's not a mobile game, its a complete re-make of a mobile game, and does not play like a mobile game.
Feels like/is a 30hr JRPG
I wonder why they couldn't be bothered to add English voice overs.
still looks like a mobile game tbh
Yea, it’s tied to those roots, but the mechanics are sound.
For me its not or maybe i haven't played a lot of mobile games? hehe its a full fledge jrpg game with no mobile elements
this game is dying its a great game tho
It just had a massive update and is launching on PS5 and Switch in a few months so I don't really think that's true.
@kei.13 what's the update. Is it much more than the base ? Or was ir just dlc
Was able to tell it's a crap game when he said m0bïL3
