Pete - With a market flooded by similar pedals (e.g. Strymon, Boss, Keely, etc.), your demos sound unique. I think it's because, as you said, you always focus on the music. Great work!
Me too! And a Suhr Hedgehog head/cab, an El Capistan delay pedal, a Pete Thorn signature model Suhr on pre-order... and probably more that I've forgotten. And now an Empress Echo System. Damn expensive hobby.
Man another great demo Pete. I've been a subscriber from way back... learned to play Eruption from your awesome lesson videos and I still refer people to those videos 9 years later. Great stuff Pete!!!! You are a true Guitar Ambassador.
I've been looking for another delay... your demo ended my search. I've been catching up your videos. Great information! Great entertainment! It's nice to hear someone so talented, yet humble and honest. Subscribed!
What another great tune of yours at the start! Your stuff is a real inspiration to me when it comes to recording my own parts - the arrangement ideas, melodies, energy... Thanks!
I swear Mr PT this demo is killer 😳 the Kemper amp tones ripped and left quite a few of us with jaws dropped. Cracking me up how your enjoying the Floyd equipped guitar. Will this be a feature on Suhr instruments??? 🤢
@@shckltnebay This pedal kills the Time Line in sound and versatility. I'm yet to hear a clip where it sounds as good as it does in person. It's incredible.
Looked for some reviews on this pedal...saw a Pete Thorn review and ignored all the others. Why is it these demo songs are still better than most artists published/released works?
I just ordered one of'em boogers , and I wonder if you can give me some tips on adjusting the options , for two types of sounds ... but all stricly on keyboards ... for me ...
LOVE the tones and a heck of a demo! If you remember, what amp/speaker is the Kemper Profile profiling? I've been on the search of tone forever and I really like that sound.
Pete, off topic- your TGP inbox was full-, any chance you'd consider selling that green Suhr Strat you've got with the matching headstock? Been drooling over it. Seriously interested.
Pete...very interested in that guitar reminds me of what Charvel did for Guthrie Govan with the Floyd but no locking but. Any plans for Suhr to do more of that?
Hey thanks John! If I don’t like a product I just return it and sort of politely decline - it doesn’t mean it’s not good it just means maybe I don’t get it.
@@PeteThorn that means a lot man. I kind of use you as a conduit to sort through all the good stuff. You make everything sound it’s best, even the stuff I don’t care for. I bought the terraform based on your review and it’s spot on. Thanks for all your hard work. I’m around your age and it’s nice to see one of us had the balls to go all in and make it. Ive said it before and I’ll say it again, you’re a good man Pete Thorn.
"What would you do if you were a billionaire...would you hire a personal chef or driver?" "...No, I would hire a personal guitarist...already know who, too."
I'm beginning to scavenge the market for my next delay. I know this is being called the timeline killer by a lot of people, but I was curious if you all had any comparisons or thoughts between the two? I love my bigsky (So I naturally lean a hair towards strymon), but spending this amount of cash for either I would make sure to have the best. I know trying in person is always ideal, but that's a bit hard to do at the moment.
Hey Pete, why don't you check out more affordable pedals like Joyo, Mooer & Tonecity? it would be really interesting to see how you would go about setting them up.
Hi Pete! Great demo your sound and playing are really phenomenal on this one. I had two questions for you: 1. I currently own the Timeline and Bigsky and wanted to see how close I can get to emulating the "Guitar Hero" sound you used in the opening segment. Which reverb and delay machine would you use on the BigSky and Timeline to get this sound? 2. How would you compare the BigSky/Timeline to the Empress Reverb? I am considering purchasing the Empress Reverb and wanted to see if it could essentially replace the BigSky/Timeline. Thanks again!
This may be of no help as I haven't owned either, but from what I've read and heard on youtube.. if you want to sound like the Bigsky, you get the Bigsky. If you want to sound like various reverbs on the guitar tone, you get the Empress, if that makes any sense. It MIGHT just be psychological, but the Strymon stuff has a distinct sound. I feel like I can hear it on all their pedals and I'm not the biggest fan of whatever it is. With the Empress stuff, I don't get that feeling. I feel like I'm hearing a clearer, more pure, delay/reverb tone in addition to a clearer/purer guitar tone. idk. might just be me.
Just listening this video again and again for the beauty of your music. Thank you Pete Thorn.
You sir, are one of the best guitarists out there, no negotiating!

I swear, Pete. You cost me more $$ than any TV ad.
Chase that dragon we call tone my friend!
I've a pair of Suhr guitars for which Pete is directly to blame.

Jeremy Dumoit I can't stand it either it's costing me and arm and a leg :))
Total rock star
Pete, your demos are always the best, and this is your best. Just...Stunning. Thanks.
Boy, you're the best thing to watch on the tube, overall.

Great stuff, Pete!
Hands down the best delay to date. Thanks for the demo Pete hope all is well with you
I love the tone in the intro where you stop and there's this.... floating cloud. Great stuff.
Your best playing for 2017 by far! "This is the real Pete Thorn!"
Excellent. Through and insanely competent examples! Super likeable demeanor. Glad I subscribed! Great job!
Thanks Brian!
wow.... again. Always look forward to the music you create in these demos.
This pedal really inspired the song and obvious excitement in you...like a superior device should. Great music and positive vibe!!!
What another great tune of yours at the start! Your stuff is a real inspiration to me when it comes to recording my own parts - the arrangement ideas, melodies, energy... Thanks!
Damn dude, every time you make a song just for a review it blows me away. You inspire me to play guitar lol rock on Pete!
Great to hear some EVH from you again there at the start. Great demo! (And I´m only 2:42 in..!)
arguably the greatest pedal form delay to date....great demo PT.
Tele sound ready to go for your upcoming country album hey?...haha
That was beautiful , finally a delay that replaces the 3 delays on my board.
Favorite player/demo...and effect!
That's the teliest sounding tele I've ever heard. Nice demo, Pete.
as always Pete your demo song is just fantastic! great review, thank you sir!
The whole video was awesome, but the intro was EPIC! Love your videos man!
very cool peddle
and simply my favorite guitar player! thanks Pete thorn!
Every video is a huge inspiration Pete. Thanks
dude! i don't gravitate to high gain most of the time, but that intro bit was freaking sick!!
One of many pedals I've bought due to your videos, but by FAR it is the one I know the least about.
Pete your playing is always on point! thanks for sharing
such a great demo song, Pete. great tones and love the pedal.
thanks!
What a ((WORLD)) you live in ....so glad I have visiting rights (and without a passport.) Such a talent you are!
Sounds super awesome
Eagerly waiting to buy the new album! :-)
is that the best delay pedal ever heard..or is that Pete !
Another awesome video! Thanks Pete!
Been looking at this one...now I will buy. Thanks!
Excellent demo, thank you Pete.

Okay FINE I’ll buy it. Also just subscribed! I love your demo!
I had to hit thumbs up before I pressed play. Man, this might knock off the timeline from my board. and my ct5. dang!
Pete...
Strymon timeline or this lovely doo dad? Which would you prefer on your own pedalboard?
TL has a screen with presets you can name.

Great song, Pete - thanks!

7:32 came out of nowhere! Excellent per usual.
I mostly just come for the music, to be honest.
Could that be the best delay pedal at the market? I loved Superdelay, but this may be even better.

Great demo song.
your lead strenght reminds me of the energie of Eddie Van Halen. Great job Pete. I am waiting for the Ethereal review!!!!
Sweet Jeez Louise Pete!! Why/how are you so friggin good at what you do? Anyways, for what its worth, you inspire me.
The best review.
LOVE the tones and a heck of a demo!

I've been on the search of tone forever and I really like that sound.
I swear I can not decide on a big box delay. I just keep getting introduced to more expensive stuff D:
What is that shred pattern you payed at the start that ended in the dive-bomb??
Can someone please call me an ambulance, I think I just had a tone overdose
+dsleeman lol
Has anyone noticed a big loss of signal when it's on the board?
That thing is sick!! dig it
some many options on this pedal

Best demos on TH-cam ever...
WICKED BROTHER THANKS FOR SHARING
Bravo Pete, this is an excellent ROCK demo as it is quite boring to watch demos of the Echosystem in an ambient format only

what distortion are you using at the beginning of the video?
That drive sound in the very beginning sounds so great. What are you using? also are you boosting the mids? Very EVH sounding. Thanks Pete!
Yea that was cool I liked the first sound and that county tune was great I cann't recall the name of it?
+SanDiegoCustomguitars it's like the Elvis walk-in music, ha
pete thorn oh the country riff? i guess your right ill have to try to find that lol thanks for getting back to me peace.
How are you going direct in?
Hey Pete, as someone who owns the empress tape delay, how is it compared to this tape?
I have an Empress VMSD and I'm considering selling it to get that unit.
Does good delay make you want to melt frets? You wild man, you.....
Whats the dirt used in the opening? You sound like one of the 80’s guitar gods I worshiped
Actually, hes even better.
Do you produce artists? the production of your own music is very solid / pro..
the box sounds very good
How come none of this stuff sounds like this when I buy it...LOL. That thing sounds AMAZING!
Especially Pete's. I'm convinced that there isn't an instrument, amp, or effect that he can't make sound magical...

how would you rate against the Boss DD7?
Chris Davies they're different planets tbh. Dd7 is a classic though.
New studio looks way, way better
Can't believe that Pete didn't pick up on the crappy buffers sucking headroom and tone with this pedal... ☹️
Hey Pete, which Kemper profiles were using on these delicious tracks. Do you use the M. Britt stuff?
nice video, now the question, where does Pete lives?
Os Lopez ..Pete lives on a Dimensionly hidden Mystical Island Floating in a Sea of Devine Tone😀👍🎸🎼
i really want that mofoing pedal.i'm a sucker for delay,echo pedals man.i'm really serious.btw.🙂👍.
Your songs rule.
you need midi controller for that kinda versatile pedal
Whats your favorite delay pedal to date?
Too many great ones to pick from! Lots of good ones out there this one is really cool as you can hear! Super deep
That tone and playing + pedal porn!
I think his hands are good effects..
Did I just hear a grab from Mr Big just then hmmmm please tell ??
Sick Rhoads riff.

This pedal is $500 canadian.
Tom F Park do you think anything below that is a fair price for this beast? I wouldn't even mind buying if I had the money
Aaaaagh Why was I born poor!!? hahaha
That's a very expensive pedal... for the home player to spend on ..

Its for life thought. It has so many features you won't need anything else.
And still out of tune!
