    Hi Jan.
    1. How should an EU citizen who NEVER LIVED in Europe but somewhere outside of europe, meaning they are not registered in their home country in healthcare system, act, to register in the PUBLIC healthcare?
    2. Regarding private healthcare - does a private health insurance from another country can co-exist with vzp?
    3. Which kind of insurance is mandatory in order to become a RESIDENT and then enjoy the public health insurane? I heard you need to be already covered by some insurance to become a resident

Hello Jan, thank you very much for the video! Did I understand correctly, that everybody who is self-employed needs to get public health insurance? In my case I want to get my Freelancer license next week, I'm from Germany and already in the Czech Republic for 7 months without Health Insurance, also without German Health Insurance. You said, that in some cases the public Czech Insurance might sort it out with the home country Health Insurance, so I'm worried that I have to pay for the last 7 months when I was not insured. Would it help to get a private Czech Insurance first?

    Thank you!
Are medicines and pills with prescription from a doctor, surgical operations fully covered by public/private health insurance? Also I wonder - what about preventive dentist (like professional teeth cleaning), child birth, vision correction - is it covered? Also what about children of employed non EU citizen - should they have private health insurance?

Hi Tatyana, thank you for the comment - many questions! :D Let's try to do them one by one:
      1. Medicines and pills - generally covered by the public health care if prescribed by a doctor. Sometimes you have to pay some percentage of it though.
      2. Dentist - preventive checks covered once in some time (I believe 6 months), cleaning or general care not covered.
      3. Vision correction - I would say covered by the public is prescribed by a doctor.
      4. Children in most cases have to have a private insurance.
      5. Generally, whatever pVZP says about their insurance, it is shit anyway. I might be a bit biased but creating a monopoly in whatever field and giving all business to one company without properly thinking about it sounds not good to me.

Hey! I am not really sure about that, the best would be asking your employer or an accountant :)

Comprehensive health insurance EXCLUSIVE vs PLUS? What are the differences?

    • @jankalina-CzechVisaExpert

I would recommend going for Exclusive, it should have a better coverage, price is about the same.

@@jankalina-CzechVisaExpert what if my wife is also thinking of giving birth to a baby here in Czech Republic. Would Exclusive be better? FYI Exclusive is a bit cheaper than Plus. Talking about PVZP plans. Thanks

    • @jankalina-CzechVisaExpert
      @jankalina-CzechVisaExpert  2 ปีที่แล้ว

@@ankitlabh I am aware, it is because we can provide up to 10% discount for the Exclusive. No discounts for Plus. As for giving birth, there are some grace periods both in Plus and Exclusive (i.e. if you get pregnant within the first 6 months of validity, you will not be covered) or you can always tick that you are pregnant and get that covered as well. It will just increase the price significantly. Exclusive should still be better.

What is the amount that will be deducted for a non-EU PhD student getting a salary on monthly basis? The deduction will also be on monthly basis? If the lab in which I am working don't cover health and social insurance. Do I have to purchase private health and social insurance?

    • @jankalina-CzechVisaExpert

It depends on what contract type you have and how high os your salary. If they do not pay for your health insurance, you will have to buy the private one.

Ahoj, I am from Ghana,I want to study in Czech republic to do my masters but I saw this on the Czech republic website as part of the requirement to obtain visa
Details of your international health insurance policy (minimum coverage of €30,000)

Does that mean I have to get insured by this amount before my visa will be processed .

@@awelmohammedtanko6764 Well, travel insurance is basically a medical insurance as well. The exact coverage depends on what you choose but you do not really have a choice for the Comprehensive coverage anyway since there is only one company allowed to sell health insurance in CZE at the moment.
