Hi Jan. Your videos have really helped me through this long waiting period but I'm glad to say that after 11 weeks (and 1 day) my family reunification residence permit has been granted. For anyone waiting, please continue holding out hope if you know you submitted all the documents correctly. Otherwise, if you're considering starting the process, I highly recommend getting in touch with Move To Prague. If I would have known about your services beforehand I would have definitely gotten in touch.😅 The process can be rather stressful as you always say!
For anyone who may be wondering, I did get my visa approval notification through email; it has not been granted yet on the system. I applied from Lusaka, Zambia. It took about 3 weeks for my documents to be received by the MOI and another 8 weeks and 1 day to receive the approval. It took me 6 months to actually get a visa appointment date. The process is quite lengthy and costly. Don't make the mistakes that I made. Thank you again Jan for all your help.
Engage Move To Prague and your process will be much much more understandable than mine was! All the best!

@@jankalina-CzechVisaExpert I look forward to it! I definitely won't go at it alone again 😅
Update: for anybody as curious as I am, my application still hasn't been approved yet on the system, yet I am on my way to Czechia. So the system has a delay here and there, but this should be an anomaly. The usual processes should apply to the majority (I'm assuming).

Hi Jan, I am having blue Card and my wife applied for family reunification visa . She got a mail that visa has been approved on 27th Aug and they said to arrange 1 year of insurance. Couple of questions here:
1- My wife will come in the month of Jan 2024 however she will go to collect visa on 8th Sept. So from when we need to arrange 1 year insurance . I think from the month of travel Right?
2- As when she will come she will go for biometric . The question here is how much time they will take to issue biometric card? I have heard some of my friends saying that if you have insurance for maximum period , they generally delay to give biometric card . Is that true??
3-And as I am having blue card and she is allowed to work from day 1st would she still would have to wait for biometric card??
    Regards

Hey Amit, it is kinda hard to give a proper advice if we have not dealt with your case since the beginning but generally:
      1. Insurance is generally needed from the date of pick up since that is generally the date of start of the visa.
      2. Well, it depends on what she applied for. If for a long-term visa, she will not be getting a biometric card.
      3. If she applied for a visa, she can not work. If for a residence permit, she can start working from when she gets the card.

Hello Sir, Thank you for the explanation. Your videos have really guided me in my process and my employee visa has been approved by the embassy. However, the company wants me to relocate early next year. Is it possible to wait from now till maybe November /December before going for the visa? because my insurance will expire in 60 days. Can you also suggest some insurance companies?

    • @jankalina-CzechVisaExpert
      @jankalina-CzechVisaExpert  ปีที่แล้ว

Hey! That is great to hear! :) Yes, generally you can wait but it depends on couple factors. If you applied for an employee card, the Embassy can issue a 6 months visa under which you can come for 60 days to finish the process. As for insurance, get in touch with is later on, the pVZP monopoly should be canceled mid September so there should be way more options towards the end of the year :)

Hello Jan. I received my visa after 15 days of applying to the embassy, which is valid from 10.9.2023 to 9.9.2024. Biometric data (only fingerprints) have already been collected at the embassy, and as you probably know, Schengen countries are visa-free for us. Is the embassy able to provide me with the residence card? Or should I travel to Prague to collect them?

Hi Giorgi! Well, it is hard to answer since I do not know anything about your case 🙂 Based on what you wrote though, it seems you got a long-term visa which means that's it for you for now. Hey! Depends on what you mean by "work permit". That is unfortunately no word in Czech immigration and different people mean different things by that.
If you mean an employment contract (meaning your employer will cover all your costs such as social and health insurance + invome tax), you will only need 60 day of insurance (after approval).
If you mean that you would be getting a trade license and work as a contractor for them, it would be a dofferent scenario - you would still only need 60 days insurance to collect your visa but then you'd have to register into the public system amd start paying that monthly yourself.
