    Nice product review! We have been very happy with all of our products from coopsnmore

      Lumnah Acres Thanks for kind words and thank you for your video that helped us decide to buy the equipment - and for your coupon code that got us 10% off!

      Lumnah, how many birds has your equipment processed? How many times has it been used. I'm worried about getting a product that is going to end up like your original yardbird!

    This was a great video! Well presented and gave good information about the product, its use, its construction and their customer service. We had narrowed down our choices to 2 different brands, but this review made our decision for us. Thanks for the information!!

      Thank you - really hope to help others like us by getting more information out there. As I said, wasn't anything really available on this equipment, and it is excellent, especially for the price.

    They look like good quality products. It just happens that we live a few miles away from coopsnmore. Glad everything work out good for you guys!

      Now that is a small world! They really are great - especially at the price. Honestly, we got the scalder and plucker for less than the cost of some pluckers alone. Hope y'all are well and enjoying a blessed start to the New Year.

    Only thing about adding a chain is you could hit that with a bird and slam the lid on you while your trying to scaled your birds

    Was wondering how the units have held up so far? Currently raise and process 100 broilers a year on my home built units, was thinking of going up to 150 this year, so considering upgrading to these units and keeping mine as a back up. These seem to be the best bang for your buck for a small processor like myself. How have you liked them after 3 years? Pros and cons would be appreciated.
    Love the name of your farm.
    God Bless

    We plugged ours in and set it to 145 we have been waiting 5 hours and it's only at 120

    • @StIsidoresFarm
      @StIsidoresFarm  6 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Sorry to hear it took so long to come up to temperature, especially if you're using it in warmer weather. Did it eventually come up to 145? If not, I could certainly contact the company. My sense is that they should stand behind the project. Frustrating though if you're planning a processing day and a big component of the day isn't working.

    What’s the purpose of a scalder? I’ve never seen a plucker but that was super cool and slightly funny to watch.

    • @StIsidoresFarm
      @StIsidoresFarm  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Zach Wiggin The scalder loosens the feathers from the skin. Pretty essential for easily and quickly removing them in the plucker.

    That drain looks awfully small.
    Is there any problem cleaning this when doing chickens?

  • @nancybnice
    @nancybnice 7 ปีที่แล้ว

    Thanks for the coupon code to what looks like a neat place to order chicken supply stuff. I am impressed with the feather plucker that does 2-3 birds in several seconds??!!. Those were big birds too. One question: before shrinkwrapping, did you remove the innards? Why or why not? (sorry, two questions)

    • @StIsidoresFarm
      @StIsidoresFarm  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes, pluckers are pretty amazing. They really do get most ALL of the feathers off the birds in a matter of seconds (15-20). And yes, after plucking the birds are processed down to what you would get in the grocery store. No worries about questions - happy to answer!

  • @theperryhomestead8272
    @theperryhomestead8272 6 ปีที่แล้ว

    So, how many times have you used the equipment? How many birds total has it processed? I'm interested in longevity. I'm about to place an order for mine this weekend. Just want to make sure I'm going to be happy with the purchase. It will be used for my whole family.

    • @StIsidoresFarm
      @StIsidoresFarm  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Wish we could tell you hundreds or thousands of birds, but we can't. We've only run a few dozen as winter is not ideal for raising or processing chickens. Still, we wanted to get the video up ASAP because there wasn't a lot out there about their products, which seemed to be really nice for the price. I can't say that I have bought and owned a lot of equipment over the years (used to be a contractor), and this stuff seems as though it will hold up over time. As I said in the video, they aren't worrying about scratches during assembly, and there are some sharp edges, but where it matters - they seem to be heavy duty and well made. Of course we're not the company and can't stand behind them. Maybe just know that we were looking to get fairly heavy duty equipment at a reasonable price and ended up buying these. We don't regret the purchase and look forward to putting it through its paces this summer. Hope this helps. Don't hesitate to ask more questions.

      St. Isidore's Farm I understand... I would love to see an updated version with many birds and uses on the equipment. Lumnah had a yard bird the quit on them before they bought theirs. I don't want to invest alot of money on junk. I want to make sure it will withstand time and use! Thanks for the reply.

    • @StIsidoresFarm
      @StIsidoresFarm  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Completely understand. That's why we wanted to make the video, because there was nothing out there about the Rite Farms Products equipment. Yes, we saw the same thing with the Yardbird plucker, but in truth, it never looked that heavy duty to us. We'll likely do a one year update after we've processed a lot of birds. Best wishes on your decision making process.

      @@StIsidoresFarm The scalder scalded about 1200 birds before it failed. I plucked about 8000 with the plucked. It is wearing out.

    I bought this scalder from them. I plugged it in and there was a huge pop. The wiring was loose inside and it shorted and ruined it. I contacted customer service and never got a response. It's a joke. Don't buy it.
