I'm in college now, but I remember when my family made minimum wage. I was in 4th grade. I saved up 30 bucks. I went to buy this exact Lego set and bought it for $28. Went home and got a woopin and beat up side the head (literally) for spending $28 on a toy while that $28 could have been spent on food and groceries. Lmao, this lego set will always have a place in my heart.

One player is xs and the other ones are Os, and you take turns placing the pegs in, until someone makes three in a row, literally of one kind.
So you can have Os or Xs, three in a row, horizontally, vertically, or diagonally.
The player who does that first wins."

and yes, these Lego technic bricks are from earlier. They are mostly the studded bricks, as the regular bricks but with pinholes. Lego changed this around 1996 with the introduction of the first studless beam. Since then many more changes were introduced. it improved sturdiness, but also made the models more complex. Before it was easy to combine the regular Lego with the Technic models, but this was eventually reintroduced with some of the Lego Creator 3 in 1 sets.

Mhm, though you can imagine adjusting or "calibrating" the string 😁

Hey nice one, thanks! One question though, I' ve done the time killer and it doesn't work... the gearing is too stiff for the rubber band to turn. I've done 60-70 rotations to wind it up but no luck. Any hints? How have you made yours to work? It is the first model I did try, could it be that the pieces are brand new and cause more friction?

Thanks a bunch! Hm, It might be the 180-degree connector (with the rubber band tied to it) might be slid on too tightly onto the gear box. Also be sure to push the big grey gears and their red bushings together. You want to make sure there is a small gap between the gears and the technic bricks. I don't have the model made at the moment so I can't say for sure...

It does, doesn't it? With a long enough rubber band, you could get it to go for ages!

I agree. His voice is calming. I tell you one thing, this video made me realized the technic bricks, the bricks with the holes and the gears existed.

I own 20-50 year old legos and most of them (about 75%) are still working. THAT'S THE OLD QUALITY, but...
New quality? Just 1 week and its broken!!! They said they have raised prices because of better quality? They comes mostly from China nowdays.
