Simple Chinese Bamboo Painting: Decisive Strokes and Thoughtful Pace

- *A quick video demonstrating a common mistake of newer artists in spontaneous style Chinese brush painting. Because of the nature of the raw xuan paper (the most common paper used in Chinese painting), the strokes must be done decisively. On the other hand after each stroke is done, it benefits the artist to pause and considered how the paper expressed the last stroke before they place the next stroke.
This is what we mean by decisive strokes and thoughtful pace. With this habit, artists with have fewer moisture control issues and more thoughtful composed paintings.
