So simple. So stunning. I used to use these designs on my boyfriends pottery he used to create. His cups and plates and other things he made were beautiful on their own. Then he met me and i suggested we should find a way to decorate them. Not the traditional way of using the glaze but to "paint" things from nature. I was leaning Sumi-E, one stroke japanese painting classes. All i loved painting was bamboo. It was so pretty and easy. I used the black block ink on pape. I thought i could do that same thing with a brush and glaze. I took a brush with glaze and i began making the strokes and it amazed him how gorgeous his plain coffee cups became. I did all kinds of other designs but my favorite thing to create was/were? Bamboo. That was 40 years ago. Thank you for your video here in TH-cam. Your teaching method is slow and easy and beautiful.

Traditional Chinese paintings are usually finished with a wet mounting process. A water-based paste is used to glue the original painting to a backing paper and then it is hung on a board to dry. After drying, the painting can be cut off the board and will be stiff, and flat enough to mount. The wet mounting also returns the colors back to their original vibrancy. We have a sell a digital ebook with an embedded link to a 90 minute instructional video on the process here: orientalartsupply.com/products/mounting-techniques?variant=42147137618140
We also offer the lessons as a free gift with any purchase over $50.
