Awesome video Utsav. I moved from service company to small tech, and found a lot of difference; I could find lot of opportunities to learn. All your points are very valid and you have rightly said that the compensation at Big Tech companies is unmatched. Working my way towards that !

Developing a bayesian classifier for a real life application is not at all a basic or simple task. I would take that as humility.

I would use scikit learn to create naive bayes classifier

Another good reason for working for a big tech company is the enhanced job security it often provides. When I decided to leave the startup company where I was working, they failed to pay me my pending salary for the last month. This experience has made me realize the importance of working for a larger tech company that offers more reliable financial stability and ensures that employees are fairly compensated for their work. Thank you for the great video.

No such thing are job security… bigger companies are more stable than early startups but so are smaller, stable companies.

In my experience, big tech companies also do mass layoffs as well without caring about your impact or role during hard economic times, like now. That is to be considered when talking about job security with big tech companies. I have seen many people who were recently hired at places like Amazon, who were let go shortly after just because they didn't have time to make a significant impact, or because the product/service they were working on was decided to be cut.

last year lay-offs started from the big tech companies. The average work longevity in google is about 1 year. Well payed and more stressed - yes, stable no.

You burnout because of a bad team, bad manager or bad self-management. Can happen in any company, regardless of size.

lol, grinding leet code questions has nothing to do with core cs knowledge bro. A company is better off hiring someone who has read clean architecture & maybe a distributed systems book
