Great deal, you figured it out and now your on the way to making sawdust again. Tenacity saved the day for you; as with anything in life, 1. see it, 2. feel it, 3. trust it, and it will be.
Thank you for posting about this. I had the exact problem with the exact saw. I was able to find exactly what I needed and got it ordered. Thank you for taking the time to do these videos. It's much appreciated.
These videos are a gift that keeps on giving! I have to replace this exact bearing. Now I know which one it is, how to do the job, and a few tricks along the way. Thanks so much!
Awesome. I'm glad that the side plate wasn't damaged so that you could get the number off of it. To make it easier to slide on the new bearing put the rotor in the freezer and the bearing in your solar oven.
thanks so much for these videos. I have the same craftsman table- saw that I picked up for free, with the exact issue you covered. I'm ordering the bushing/bearing and will soon be a happy camper. thanks for indicating the bushing #. a real time saver!
Thanks so much for passing on the information and taking time to make a video. I had to change the bearing on my craftsman and you assisted me immensely.
great- i love how you show details on this- it will allow others that cant afford to buy new- to repair the ones they have....keep up the good work....bleessings
Just a thought while your in there, you probably should replace the other bearing too. it would be just my luck that I would get it all put back together and the other bearing would be the next thing to go. Also get some emory cloth and polish up the armature where the brushes ride it will help the motor spin up quicker due to the removal of the varnish on the armature, you know less resistance to electrical current flow.
awsome im glad everything worked out for you ... i wanna tell you i have an old sears table saw it must be 40 years old it belonged to my dad but it's not direct drive like yours is it is belt driven with a 220 volt motor and that thing was in a flood and when it dryed off it still worked but it made a littlel more noise then it use to lolololol but who wouldn't after being in a flood lol
Thank you since I left the question on here I probably ordered the same part from the same supply run eBay $18 I guess they know what they have cuz no one else had it well Amazon had one but it was over $20.
The set of youtube videos were the most informative I have seen. I have tried to purchase the bushing that the 6200z bearing sits in and I am having no luck at all even through Amazon and Sears. It seems they have no record of the item numbers noted below that may have changed over the years.
Thank for the info. I have the same problem now I know how to fix it. I'm in Canada so it will be about $45.00 to fix it here.Still better than a new one.
Hey no problem. But I would still recommend replacing that other bearing, I cant tell you how many times I tried to cheap out on things like this and it always came back and bit me in the butt!:) Oiling that bearing is probably not such a good idea because they are a sealed unit that is packed with grease from the factory, and by oiling you can actually wash out that grease. and on top of that if you can get oil in you will also get dirt and sawdust in shortening the life further.
Per jcapcik from 1/1 "FYI, instead of spending $8 + shipping on a motor brush, google "999044 motor brush". They are the same 7 x 17 x 18mm and are much cheaper."
Hey No problem man I know how it is money's tight and all, but for no more than a stupid bearing costs I'd hate for you to have to deal with all that again. And I have a buddy who is like that too he has a BAD case of cheap bastarditis and it usually always bites him in the butt! And he never learns. Oh well some people you just can't help.:)
don't buy bearings from ebay , they cost arm and lag, buy from a motor shop or auto parts store , next time buy seal bearings not shield bearings to protect from dust ,seal bearings only cost 10 cents more
Wow!! I replaced my brush side bearing size 6200 which is the spec for ID 10 x OD 30 x width 9mm.. Amazon pack of 4 for $7.. Sears is cancer.
I wish I saw before I spent the big bucks on the fag part number 6200-2Z-LO38 C3

Im glad it helped! Thanks for letting me know.

My husband watched this video, did as you said, he is SO happy this fixed his saw , thank you !
Awesome. I'm glad that the side plate wasn't damaged so that you could get the number off of it. To make it easier to slide on the new bearing put the rotor in the freezer and the bearing in your solar oven.
I really appreciate your vids of building things from scratch. Glad to hear that this might be a relatively cheap fix.
thanks so much for these videos. I have the same craftsman table- saw that I picked up for free, with the exact issue you covered. I'm ordering the bushing/bearing and will soon be a happy camper. thanks for indicating the bushing #. a real time saver!
Thanks so much for passing on the information and taking time to make a video. I had to change the bearing on my craftsman and you assisted me immensely.
great idea! the other bearing is just fine. i actually oiled it but the sandpapering of the armature never crossed my mind. thanks for the great tip!
nice to have good folks backen ya up :) good to see you found both parts.
great- i love how you show details on this- it will allow others that cant afford to buy new- to repair the ones they have....keep up the good work....bleessings

Lots of work but hoefully it will bring great results. Nice work.
Good to know. I'm about to dive into my 113 and give it a good cleaning. I think I'll take a close look at my motor while I'm in there.
It would be a good idea since you’ll have it accessible.
This info is still good. Thanks for the video!
Just ordered a Nachi-brand 6200z ball bearing from Ebay!
That a boy great job thanks for sharing
Great fix!
When you order your bearing the 6200Z and 6200ZZ are the same. I bought Chrome and high temperature, high speed. Still cheap. Available everywhere.
no worries mate! glad you made it!
a freind gave me an old craftsman table saw. it was so huge i had no where to keep it so i gave it back. now i wish i had just made space for it.
great advice! ill do that.the bearing is enroute, according to the tracking number.
awsome im glad everything worked out for you ... i wanna tell you i have an old sears table saw it must be 40 years old it belonged to my dad but it's not direct drive like yours is it is belt driven with a 220 volt motor and that thing was in a flood and when it dryed off it still worked but it made a littlel more noise then it use to lolololol but who wouldn't after being in a flood lol
I'm changing the bearings in mine as well and also my bushing is melted and I need to replace it
Usabearings is awesome!! Made in USA and not expensive.
and the free shipping is awesome. sears charged me 8 bucks to ship a 3 buck part!
Awesome news, now lets see what you can build..
Only needing this video now, was hoping you remembered where you got the replacement bushing from? Mine is melted quite bad. Thanks in advance
I’m sorry. To many moons have passed since I did this.
Do you happen to remember the part number on the bushing you ordered from Sears? Thanks
I ordered the 0R1S Bushing from Ebay (seller: searspartsdirect)
Thank you since I left the question on here I probably ordered the same part from the same supply run eBay $18 I guess they know what they have cuz no one else had it well Amazon had one but it was over $20.

ill be cutting with it next week.

Interesting vids bctruck. What tool will you use to fit the bearing? You said in the last vid they were press-fit, that sounds like some factory job.
cool!

How much was the armature with both bearings on it?
yep. its gonna save having to replace it.
Did you get this thing going? Do you have a third video?
yup.here it is.
craftsman tablesaw repair (3/1)
Do you know where I can find the motor? The gear on the end of the shaft on mine stripped out. Sears don't make it anymore
yeah i cant believe i gave up so easy. being unemployed has sure kicked the "go" out of me.
AMEN!!! or in the words of our youth,,,,, WORD!
never buy anythin new when ya can fix the old or make do
do you know where I can get a motor for craftsman 315.218060 or 315.218050. Both motors are bad
I’m sorry. I wouldn’t be able to help you with that.
Sorry its proabably somewhere in the comments but can you share the bearing part number and the measurements?
good :-]
Some things turn out right.. or seem to... for now... Keep pluggin' .....on ALL fronts!
have it sent to the sears store parts department and save the shipping
the price was for 10 bearing sets, just buy what you need
well i went to ebay instead (usabearings) and ordered it for $4.44 and free shipping.
Per jcapcik from 1/1
"FYI, instead of spending $8 + shipping on a motor brush, google "999044 motor brush". They are the same 7 x 17 x 18mm and are much cheaper."
Smashing, thats cheap :-)
You can fix anything :-)

sorry, both are table saws
ill use a socket and a hammer and beat it into submission.
Just trying to save you some grief on down the road.
