Hats off to Carl Brown - I recently joined a hair metal tribute band and had a week to learn 28 songs before the first show. Learned all of them here, just in time. Carl is the man 🤘🏻
Warren Demartini and Robin Crosby.......😳😲😯😮.... 2 of the best guitar players from that era. Especially as a team. RATT has a unique sound that can't be mistaken. 💪✊👊🤘
Dude, once again I’m searching for a how to on TH-cam for a song and once again (and thank GOD) you have a video on it! You’re by far the best teacher for songs, man. Seriously. I hope you know how appreciated you are🙏🙏
Carl Brown: just wanted to say that whenever I am having a problem with any particular song because the tabs are not exactly right and I cannot figure it out myself, I go to your channel and if you have the song up, I find the solution. You are a great guitarist and cover a wide variety of songs and appreciate your posting them on TH-cam to help others learn and to make them happy to learn a song they like! I remember when this song came out and bought the LP just for this song. You're awesome!
I seem to remember hearing a George Lynch interview where he talked about how talented Warren was and how Warren would figure things out quicker then he could. And coming from George, that's saying something.
That's got VH DNA all over it! And that's a compliment, both Warren and Lynch have admitted how much of an influence Eddie was when he came onto the scene like a fireball! Either way love this friggin song, memories being in highschool driving down Sunset BLVD and blasting this shit full blast!! 🤘
Great work on the POV camera! (Insert joke here!) LOL! Thanks for another awesome job on making a difficult sounding riff PLAYABLE! You're the best! Keep em' comin' God bless and take care...
wow,for some reason I'm thinking I seen a lesson where the main riff goes from a E power chord to the suspended E as it progresses...I guess I could have seen it wrong which is great because this seems alot easier to make the chord changes...thanks buddy!
You're amazing Carl! Thanks for all your lessons. The only thing you could possibly add/change to make these any greater would be to teach these in standard tuning.
@@BuenoReviews Yep I've actually come to that realization recently. Maybe 2 more (for Eb and D tuning). That should make life easier when it comes to metal.
Awesome lesson. I'm a bass player, but trying to learn this on guitar to show a bandmate... I was having a hell of a time with this riff.... Thank you!
I play drums, but decided to watch just to see if it were ever possible for me to learn this one for kicks. Short answer: no. Haha! Those stretches are beyond my gnarled hands’ capabilities. Plus I desperately suck at bar chords. Sausage fingers plus years of cycling-induced carpal tunnel make a song like this damn near physically impossible. If anyone knows a way to conquer that, I’m all ears.
Awesome tutorial, thanks! Do you think you could do one on "Lay it Down"? I really want to learn that song, having a rough time with it. Thanks again. 😃
Hey Carl, Do you think you could teach To Live is To Die by Metallica? I've checked out your playlist and I really like how you taught the other songs. I've always wanted to learn the part in the middle in that song where they play in harmony.

Loved the tutorial… you should say what equipment/sound settings you use, for us not so educated amp people. You had a perfect tone btw
Hot rodded marshall with a tube screamer boosting it pretty much. I get the exact tone with my JVM410 on OD1 orange.

Carl we need more Ratt!
You're amazing Carl! Thanks for all your lessons. The only thing you could possibly add/change to make these any greater would be to teach these in standard tuning.
Non sense! This just allows us all to rationalize owning multiple guitars with multiple tunings 🤣🤣

Stretches in that song are brutal.
That second guitarist you are referring to was Robin Crosby, a great guitarist in his own right... great lesson btw thanks.

Me encantan tus vídeos apresar que no entiendo inglés pero pongo mucha a tensión por qué como explicar la posición de los dedos exelente
Must be nice to have some long fingers, so the pinky stretch to the 7th fret is this effortless lol.

It would be great if you could talk about how you get your tone.
What kind of amplifier are you using and the settings are set at !
What kind of guitar are you using acoustic or a different type.
