Hi, I’m 65 and have been sewing since I was 10! Taught by my Grandma, then high school classes…….and still today I mess up and my husband who is 72 tells me, honey, it’s just a learning experience. And then I can breathe. 😮 so, thank you for mentioning this aspect of sewing. 🎉
Your makes are really nice. The "Marny dress" is my favorite on you. The colors in it are very complimentary to yoour complexion and hair. Go back and watch this video again and see how pretty on you it is. If youve ever had your colors done you are probably an "autumn".Wearing the colors that look best on you makes everything you wear look more finished All your makes were great.
I love that you find things to make right away with your scraps! I want to follow that idea for sure. I have been sewing for a long time and I have a lot of scraps/ufos/things that need to be refashioned and it's kind of overwhelming. It's a time issue more than an idea issue. The other thing I wanted to say is...when people ask me to sew for them, I have started telling them I can't, but that I could teach them how to do it. That usually puts the breaks on. I also found a local tailor who I recommend for hemming, etc. I am a teacher and time is precious, especially during the school year. Happy sewing and thanks for the video.

Your sewing is beautiful; you’re doing an epic job with only three years of sewing under your belt. ❤ I’m looking forward to watching your other videos and learning more about you. I have so many questions. 😊 One of my goals this year is to sew for myself after years of sewing for children, grandchildren, and friends. I think I’ve sewn only 3 or 4 things for myself this year. BTW, I do love making my own undies. After my first few pairs, I haven’t bought them retail. They are so comfy! I cut pieces for the undies from my knit scraps, and binding from lightweight wovens as I finish up projects.
