The thing he doesn't emphasise is the first nut on the front of the stem. He screws it out a bit but doesn't really say much about it. This nut is the key to fixing the wobble. Just screw it out a bit and then put the stem and clamps back. It will improve once you turn it out sufficiently. Just trial and error until you get it right. Once its right you won't have to tighten the clamps so much which good if you want to collapse the stem sometimes

I dont understand. I just got my mantis and its wobbly a little no matter how tight i close the clamps, im afraid ill break it if i close it even more i can even hear little cracking at this point so im not sure what to do. How does unscrewing the jolt inside the pole makes it better if it only loosens it? and why not the other way around. I dont get it honestly. Please let me know anyone if you have a solution or an answer. Again, maybe it should wobble just a bit...

What causes stem wobble is clamp creep. It is caused when the steering receives a jolt that puts high pressure on the rear of the clamp and it slowly inched upward in tiny increments until there is a space under the rear of the clamp and wobble occurs. I have a solution to this and I am working on the problem at present. There is another thing that can cause steering wobble the top bearing is loose in its housing. Use a Loctite product Retainingloc or Bearingloc.

I fixed this problem and since have been experiencing another one , the steering feels notched and isn't smooth , online it says you need to replace the steering bearing but there is 0 videos on how to do this , I'm thinking of selling it and getting something different all together

My kaabo Mantis 10 v2 stem clamp wont tighten enough to stop the wobble at the clamp. That's where the issue is. Waited a month only to have it arrive faulty.

Sorry but at the end of the process the stem was wobbling anyway. So I cannot see the real effect of the action?!

Very useful. Just fixed my wobbly stem using the hex wrench. feel around first with your finger so you can tell where the hex nut is.
