You can let Ian know that there's a whole household of us that had exactly the reaction he wanted .. "Fucking epic!"
ROFL .. I wonder where they think the "kids" came up with the term OG? Which I suppose it depends on the area as to what that means. Around here, old school works, but if you manage to whip some little brat back into being human .. the kids refer to it as Old Guard. Some years ago the gangs were trying to take over a neighborhood and tell the kids who they "now" belonged to .. the parents and grandparents tried getting police involved, but since no one died or was beaten they couldn't do anything. So the gang decided they could come into the neighborhood and nothing would happen. They were sooo wrong. The adults who lived there (honest to God!) went into their back yards and sheds .. they grabbed shovels and pitchforks, rakes pool cues .. no guns, no knives .. but the rest looked like they were walking to Castle Frankenstein! And the neighborhood won. Granted I haven't checked for about four years, but those blasted cockroaches scurried back across the main road. Some got a good sized knot on their head but honestly I was very proud of them for standing up for themselves.
THAT was a true story BTW which is probably why we enjoyed the movie 🍿🍿 so much.
I'm so glad to see Ian back on the screen (in things I'll happily watch, thank you). I was absolutely heartsick that something had happened to the man when Return of the Saint left the airwaves. The movie is a favorite, but I just found the interviews and I'm glad I did. They've been lots of fun to watch also.
Only down side .. I have to wait till next month to go get his book .. the grown-up one of course .. 😏☺️
Violence is just sometimes necessary .. that doesn't mean most people want to have to be that way.
