Somjit ji thanks so much for the wonderful video. I have driven this route countless time in my Bolero, Maruti van and Hyundai I-10. from our house in Siliguri to Kurseong and Darjeeling to visit etc.
Watching Your video, I felt like I was in driver's seat ,
Each of those hairpin turns and possibility of missing literally few inches, which would hurl you down thousand of feet down the hill side and all those beautiful tiny houses by the road side comes so vividly in my mind.
Now I live in US, driving around in fast, wide and beautifully done and maintained road, we call "Freeway" where you can enter and exist so easily.
Yet the thrill of driving up and down the hills of Darjeeling could not be compared to anything.
My salute to my fellow drivers who day in and day out drive up and down that narrow road, so often not because of fun only but out of necessity . I am coming home in December for just three weeks and hopefully the hill side is peaceful, so we could drive up there without any fear. Thank you again Somjit ji for your amazing videography.

There is more to it than the Darjeeling town itself. Over the last 28 years for more than 60 times I have travelled and trekked in the villages and forests, hills and dales in the district and have fallen in love with the wonderful people , the meandering streams and rivers, the flora and the fauna. The majestic Kanchendzonga massif will be your guide. Leave the car and travel by foot, mix with the people, only then you'll really enjoy the place.

For last 5 years I am watching this video , in 2018 I had to cancel the confirm train tickets & trip due to unavoidable reasons. But still didn't able to manufacture the chance to make it happen. Never visited Darjeeling , I m 42 yrs old. It's all about destiny

Hi, liked your video. We are planning a trip along the same route. We want to go from NJP to Ribdi then gorkey. Just wanted to know the car availability n fare from NJP for Ribdi. How much time does it take? When do we need to start from NJP

NJP theke Ribdhi 2500 taka but ekhon season... tai rate er kono thik nei. Gangtok er fair 2500. But charge korche 5000/6000....

Yes Hindi is no issue.
You will not get any public transportation at 4am. You have to book some car or auto. Fare is negotiable. Take help of a friends at NBU to book that.
Rickshaw is very popular in NJP. It is also called City of Rickshaw!

There are many bikers in this route.. But you must be careful...careless even driving on a super-highway may not be safe

if Nepal can capture the Siliguri Corridor, we can cut all Northeastern states of India from mainland India. Nepal would be connected to Bangladesh once Nepal can annex the Siliguri Corridor.
if possible Nepal must request China for help to capture Siliguri Corridor.

Sorry brother I told you the distance from NJP to Gangtok. NJP and Siliguri are adjacent. Its only 10 kilometer...
Supriya Bhol NJP is the main ralway station of Siliguri. NJP falls under the Jalpaiguri district area of Siliguri Municipal Corporation (Ward No. 10) That's why it was named as New Jalpaiguri. So don't get confused when you come here. NJP is an essential part of Siliguri city.
