It really sucks because people were excited about the Recruit Remaster, but it turned into just a reskin and they changed the utility around. Plus, they screwed the weapons. Instead of whatever you wanted, you get 2 primaries and 2 secondaries. Solis and Fenrir nerfs are good, but no one is excited about nerfs. Barbed wire change is whatever Overall, L season. Coming off of Deadly Omen (which was a great season), this is so sad.
I will say vector glare and brutal swarm is comparable to this season and they were back to back. So, this season isn't as bad as that era in my opinion, but it is definitely top 3 worst seasons of all time

As someone who has played for honor for a decent amount of years I can't overstate how tired I am of competitive players. For honor also used to have unique and different characters who were not balanced of course. But after 2020 every single character started feeling the same (they were streamlining recovery times, giving everyone dodge attacks etc). I hate how Ubisoft only listens to the pro players who are usually allergic to having fun and only see the game as a bunch of numbers.

All in all a good video but I think the segment from 5:15-5:24 is a terrible take. If Ubi dumps all their time and resources to appeal to only ranked and pro league it’ll kill the fun of the game and will also cut off a good chunk of its audience who don’t play ranked. That approach is how we ended up with things such as the immense fall offs of the F2 and 416-C
They shouldve kept the old recruits and named them rookie recruits. Just not in ranked or standard. The new ones should have had access to all weapons available to all operators on said sides.

Recruit has actually been literally pointless for a while now. He had a purpose when every operator had to be bought, so people wouldn't get locked out of matches for not having enough ops. But ever since ubi started giving the original ops with the game, it's kinda hard to justify his existance...

I actually kind of like the recruit changes as slight as they well and the barbed wire buff. Because now Sentry on defense is going to be a nice choice to bring against the shield attackers. And I like Striker on attack because I often play solo so having an attacker who can open electrified reinforced walls with no help from my team is appreciated. Is it being too greedy that I wished they gave striker the gonne 6 to?

Endless drill is a joke. It lasts for one hour, its isnt endless. Secondly you cant test any attacker gadgets or defender gadgets since the Dummies just pivot and just shoot at you. You can not die in this game mode, the damage is capped at 1250 from fall damage. Its a useless fearure intended ronreplace a better aim trainer. The devs removed Thunt and replaced it with 3 varying modes which are just downright awful. You have location drills, endless drill and the shooting range. You had all of those in a Thunt. Furthermore the Thunt allowed a player to formulate a plan of attack or how to defend. The new mode tells you where the enemies are and gives you hints of you're stuck. Its an embarrassing situation and ubisoft fucked up royally.

Absolutely agree with your take that anything that slows down attackers and makes them use their utility is a net positive. Hoping S3 will be better.

They couldn't be more detached from their player base. They just have no ability to prioritize development thats needed or wanted and instead just keep focusing on some L ideas some Joe Bob had in a Teams meeting because they wanted to feel important in the discussion. Quite literally the last thing the entire Fing community could care about is a recruit re-work.

Endless drill is a joke. It lasts for one hour, its isnt endless. Secondly you cant test any attacker gadgets or defender gadgets since the Dummies just pivot and just shoot at you. You can not die in this game mode, the damage is capped at 1250 from fall damage. Its a useless fearure intended ronreplace a better aim trainer.
The devs removed Thunt and replaced it with 3 varying modes which are just downright awful. You have location drills, endless drill and the shooting range. You had all of those in a Thunt. Furthermore the Thunt allowed a player to formulate a plan of attack or how to defend. The new mode tells you where the enemies are and gives you hints of you're stuck. Its an embarrassing situation and ubisoft fucked up royally.

Dev time should go to casual players, the game isn’t solely focused on the competitive aspect and the developers should reflect that in what their doing. Not everything should impact ranked bozo
