- Man Fishing Alone in Tiny Boat tries to Catch Shark & Giant Eels. Graeme was desperate to just get out on the water, and in this episode he ventures out alone in a 50-year old clinker built vintage wooden boat. The weather is perfect for a solo boat fishing attempt so he drops anchor off the South Devon coast and sends some unusual baits down to the seabed. It’s a bait that sea fish will never have seen before as it comes from freshwater, but will such a wacky idea work? Watch the film to find out just what comes along.

I just want to say a big ‘Thanks’ for all the videos. I grew up reading your books, loved the humour and your exploits with big game. Sadly for me I have not been fishing for 30+ years, but I’m now of that age where I have just been told that I’ve got cancer and I’m in for a big battle ahead and apparently not a nice one, I’m being sent to Liverpool for treatment and from the look of it the place that they are going to put me is very near to the sea on the Wirral. Just as a complete fluke, one of your videos appeared in the suggestions in TH-cam, and shortly afterwards I went hunting for some long not read books, and with thoughts of conger fishing out of St. Mawes in Cornwall with family and friends. Your books took me to the places I always wanted to be, and now to something to help me through the next few months hopefully. I’ve not even held a rod in years, and very sadly I have never even cast from the shore ever, so it’s so going to go wrong before it gets better, but I’ve subscribed, and frantically watching loads of videos of yours, got a lot to learn and thankfully a lot of spare time between treatments to learn again. I’ve still got to go shopping though, so hunting for local shops when I get across as I type, no boat rods this time though… So from one new/old solo angler to another, thank you so very much for all that you do, they ‘are/is’ very much appreciated, the book, videos, and your humour are my daily fix to getting through each day at the moment, I may never regain my youth of big ling and conger, and I’m sure I won’t break any casting records unless the shortest one ever applies, but thank you so much for reminding me of what was once fun, and to help me on the next trip across soon for my forced staycation. Please more boat videos, it was alway what I enjoyed, anyway thanks again, …

The fishing around the IOW and the Solent in general has really picked up recently. Lots of smooth hounds and a good mix of rays. The bass are starting to show in big numbers as well.
As the program's on the t.v get worse and worse your videos get better and better I think I am going to give up watch normal t.v and watch great stuff like this
I gave up TV years ago. At least with TH-cam I watch what I like.

If you ever need to know, there are tide apps for your phone, most will even tell you sun rise and set times and moon phase, just enter your location or let it use the phones GPS if it has it, and most phones do now.

I live in devon & I eat those cornish pasties,me bad.😄 But I've never tried wainbow trout on a wednesday lol.After catching the two conga's at the same time I thought you'd be doing the dance with them in the boat😆 I don't know what you'd do if you hooked a 25ft great white shark.People swear they've seen them about around our shores.Maybe true or they're all porbeagle sightings.
