    The first scene is Strathalbyn St shops, looking towards High St East Kew. Near the Harp of Erin Hotel.

    Gezza - Having grown up in Nth Balwyn - I'm pretty sure the shopping strip is at the Harp Hotel East Kew intersection(Harp Rd/High St). Looking south from Strathalbyn St. Looking towards Dunning and Sons Firewood/Wood pile. Which you can clearly see in the background here in '79. Unfortunately the yard is no longer there(closed in 2012) 😮‍💨 However on google maps in the 2007/2009 shot - you can still clearly see the yard and the red roofed roadside building that is in this Cop Shop scene. The red roofed building still survives today. The "Self Serve Briquettes" on the building inscription(yellow/black writing) is clearly visible in both the scene and the 2007-2019 google map shots.

  • @andyrob3259

    The hospital may be The Prince Alfred I think. Building what was the new wing in the 80’s and the old hospital before it? There’s still old bits behind the bee and there’s used to be an old building next to the current heli pad (well the old one) that was demolished recently for the expansion

    • @lesleywilliams1210
      @lesleywilliams1210 ปีที่แล้ว

      I agree, it looks like that spot at The Alfred Hospital. BTW the hospital in Sydney is the Royal Prince Alfred Hospital, whereas Melbourne's is simply The Alfred Hospital (although both are named after the same Prince, Queen Victoria's second son).
