- Here Dillon talks about his Burmese python projects and shows you some examples of what he works with. You won’t want to miss the last one! This is not click bait I promise! Some of the snakes appear more yellow than they are due to the lighting and yellow just being one of those colors that can be difficult with certain types of lights.
**Also please note the Bob and Jay he refers to at the end are Clark and Brewer respectively, just to make sure others don’t think it’s in reference to them**

I got a female pearl that I'm sure is het for either granite or labyrinth or something because the pattern is way too random to be just a pearl. She was super sweet from day 1. She's only ever struck at me but it was a food response. She is super explorative and doesn't seem to have a problem around anyone. She's probably gonna be a big one whenever she grows up. She's only like 4 months old and she's already almost 4 feet long, and hasn't been overfed so it's kinda interesting
So nice. I put so much thought into picking mine and was *sure* he’d be my only large constrictor. But now...lol. I had already decided I’d buy the pied but I’d really, really like a caramel and maybe a granite, too.
Lindsay Makowski the pieds cost what a new Kia does, but burms breed. They will come down before long haha. I do like the caramel a lot myself. Being a T+ guy in bloods though that shouldn’t be a huge shock lol.
I didn’t know that’s what they were until today🤷🏻♀️
Lol lindsey, i was only going to get one and in a space of 4 weeks bought 4 females, a hypo labyrinth, blizzard, hypo granite, caramel and 2 males, blizzard and normal het caramal
That’s a whole lotta python. I went straight for the one burm, despite not being accustomed to larger animals. I have not yet worked my way back to t- or 007, but I’ve picked up a few others in their place. All in good time.
Never been a fan of the greens, till this video if I keep seeing examples like that around i would be tempted!
Amazing Burms, can't wait till I can get another one.
That green is gorgeous!!!!!
nicholas martinez it’s a perfect animal!
@@DanMaganoSnakes it really is, I was hoping to see a hypo green as a few have been listed for sale on line but that green was fantastic.
Absolutely love Burmese Pythons 🐍🤘🏻
I have an albino male and I loooooooove that guy! I'm getting a green this spring, can't wait.
Josh Smith nice!
Amazing snakes. I remember the first time seeing an albino burm when I was a kid I was just amazed.
I have fallen in love with Gerald. He is my dream snake. Would love to have a Burmese Python, but I do not have friends or sisters to help me with him when is full size. All the people I know are not snake fans, especially big snakes. I would need a very small male Burmese Python I could handle myself as I am very petite.
We need a part 2 of this shit. Effin’ amazing.
Hayden Phoenix might happen sooner than you think. Going to try and stop and see dingle when I get back from my current trip.
Part two was shot today- but won’t be up for several weeks given how backlogged I am with content currently- so hang in there! It’s all different burms this time too!
Awesome vid! Gorgeous animals!
Robert Devargas thank you so much!
Are there any hypo caramels out there yet? If so post a link. Would like to see that combo with other recessive genes. Im in Maryland, can you also post a plug for Charles? Thanks guys awesome work, info, and amazing animals!
I don’t know Charles at all to post anything on his behalf and I don’t follow the burm morphs enough to know whether that’s been made at all and if so where at.
Beautiful burms
Beautiful animals!
Taevian's World of Reptiles! I agree, and I’m no burm guy! He’s got a hypo labyrinth we forgot to take out that’s amazing! I’ve got two more episodes coming up from his place. We did one with blood pythons for next week and the following week is random animals(Papuan python/woma/gila monster/some Brazilian rainbows and other boas and some western hognose). I haven’t even watched the last one yet myself haha. Sad thing is we covered like 15-20percent of his collection between all 4 haha. He’s got a lot of cool stuff. I’ll go back again another time and do some different stuff.
I’m just asking, so no hate please, but wouldn’t it make more sense to adopt the babies from the Everglades instead of them being killed?? And again I’m asking cuz I don’t even know where u all r located. Just found this video and channel 10 minutes ago.
I am thinking they don’t have any this color in the glades.
I love to see the way that u all seem to love your snakes, respect them, and take good care of them. Thanks so much for that. I thought u couldn’t have burms in most states.
guardians animal rescue/ state certified 501c3 I got my start in reptiles doing rescue work, so that’s where my heart is. Sadly with all the diseases and issues floating around now a days it’s too risky to bring something like that in to and established collection. Also to my knowledge you have to euthanize the invasive ones, I don’t think they are allowed to go to private people. I know a lot of them are being used to research(post Mortem mostly I believe) which although sad has helped us learn a ton about how these animals function.
hahah the Sampson comment 😂😂😂
AWESOME
Thanks!
I want a burm. Maybe this year
There you go!
Definitely hit up Dillon if you do. Not just because it’s on his video or because he’s a friend, but he legit has phenomenal burms.
Cool
Is it true that snakes with a lot of recessive and albino genes tend to be the sweetest easier snakes to deal with?
Yes and no. Any animal can be any kind of way depending on its environment, personality, and it’s keeper. That said captive breeding in some cases will create calmer animals over the course of generations. Stuff with many recessives is typically so many captive generations in to stack all of that so that’s why they appear to adjust better and be calmer. It’s not because of the genes so much as the history.
For instance my captive bred macklots python is MUCH more defensive than the one that imported. I’ve also had better luck working with wild caught African rock pythons than captive bred ones.
@@DanMaganoSnakes that is odd. Do you have a African rock python video?
@@4570sharps episode 57 there’s one. I think off hand that’s it.
I have a normal burm Het Granite, Lab, Albino female 2 years old, 6 ft', and an Albino male 3 yrs 8'. If the genetics hold true, what is most likely I can produce with this recipe? I am a novice to Burm breeding. Thank you for any tips.
Ed Figueroa if all you said is correct you’d get (approx) half visual albinos and half visual normals that are 100 percent het albino. All babies would be 50 percent het for granite and labyrinth. Do you understand what the 100 percent vs 50 percent means? If not can explain that a bit further
Also if you can find someone local especially that’s got experience breeding burms I’d recommend getting them to mentor you if they are willing. Burns respiratory systems can be very sensitive and the combination of lower temps to stimulate breeding and the stress of the process itself can be risky with these guys.
@@DanMaganoSnakes , no local people. I will have to get all my knowledge of TH-cam. I just watched great video by Dave Tom Reagan on breeding Burms. WHat is teh deal with respiratory I need to be careful about? Just do not allow temps to fall below 81F? I keep my burms at 82-84 room temp, with hot spot. I hear some like 87F
@@DanMaganoSnakes Got it. I was afraid of that. I really what to extract the Lab, Granite, therefore I suspect I will have to breed the offspring back to mother to get my lab and granites, correct?
@@DanMaganoSnakes , or is it better to breed offspring 50% lab/granite to each other, rather than back to the normal mother?
Where can I get one of those shirts?
Contact Dillon Heyne on his Facebook or Instagram. CBC exotics. He just got a new batch done. Same design but nicer quality.
@@DanMaganoSnakes does he have a TH-cam channel?
@@bryanwalker3110 he does not. There’s maybe 7 videos on here at his place.
Where can I purchase one from ?
Michael Stott Not sure which one you’re after but you can contact Dillon. He’s CBC exotics/Dillon Heyne and is on Instagram and Facebook as well.
DanMaganoSnakes thanks so much and I’m after a Burmese python so I’ll be in contact with him.
Michael Stott make sure it’s allowed in your state. I know a lot of the southern states don’t allow them or they only allow one and it has to be permitted. Something like that. Would hate for anyone to get in trouble and then the snake be euthanized. The way they kill so many burms in Florida is sad. I understand why they need to do it, I just wish they could be adopted out to a good home. The law is that they have to be weighed, measured and euthanized when they come out of the glades.
Does he have a site or channel??
Josh Smith no and he needs to lol. The wife got him a go pro and stuff and he doesn’t use it. We yelled at him some. You haven’t even seen a tiny iota of his collection. Next Saturday I’m posting up some of his bloods in a video and the following week we did a random video that has some boas, womas, bloods, hognose, milk snakes, Papuan python, Gila monster etc. He could make some great videos without ever leaving his house. He is on Instagram and Facebook though.
@@DanMaganoSnakes damn that sucks...I wouldn't min being a customer of his.
Yeah I wouldn’t have done a joint breeding project with him if I didn’t trust him. I wouldn’t hesitate to get something from him. He’s got 3 snakes from me plus a couple from that joint breeding project.
@@DanMaganoSnakes if he's gonna produce greens, I'll get a refund on my deposit and get one of his
Josh Smith his green female is gravid now and due to lay I believe in about 2-3 weeks of if memory serves, but forget what she was bred to.
What’s wrong with bob or jay?
Hayden Phoenix Quite a bit if you look into both their business practices, and behavior. Jay overfeeds his animals into severe obesity to get as many eggs as he can out of them and doesn’t care that they die at 1/3rd of the age they are supposed to live until. He also intentionally withholds food from others to keep them under their adult size so he can keep them in smaller caging. He rips babies out of the egg before they’ve absorbed the proper amount of yolk as well once again having no regard for their well being. Bob sells babies right out of the egg who have never fed before or even been offered a meal. He’s notorious for sending people issues such as mites etc and his bedside manner Is one of the worst in the hobby. There’s a lot more, but you’d have to do a little research and a lot of reading.
DanMaganoSnakes thanks for the response! I’ve seen/talked to them personally before, but not on a day today basis. They seemed fine. But I get what you’re saying and I will look more into it
that’s kinda shady. 🤨
Hayden Phoenix Yeah, Jay especially can be very personable. There’s also some former employees that accused him of really poor treatment and even racism, but that’s mostly hearsay and so while I wouldn’t dismiss it, sometimes it’s hard to tell who has an ac to grind and why. Bob though has gone so far as to make fake social media accounts to bid up his own auctions and to mess with people he doesn’t like. Seems a bit sophomoric at best. Both have brought some good things to the hobby but many of us feel their harm has outweighed their benefit especially in the last decade or so.
DanMaganoSnakes damn, I’m getting the juicy insights. 😆 I just subbed to your channel yesterday and was wondering who would be a good breeder to contact if you’re interested in buying a blood python, since we’re on the topic of breeders; also I love you’re videos! So insightful and knowledgeable when it comes to bloods 👍🏼🤘
Hayden Phoenix well I’d hope myself haha, also Dillon is great, Kara at the bloods cell, Matt turner of selective origins, Nick Bottini of cold blooded earth, John Giel, Frank Goode, Matt Minetola, if Ryan Rumbley starts breeding again. I think Ryan Sullivan just hatched some matrix stuff. Kelly Thell, there’s a ton of people that are great. It’s a pretty good niche in the hobby overall. A lot less BS. That’s a list of some though.
AWESOME
Thanks!
