Now 55, I first saw your podcasts when in the hospital with COVID. While COVID tried to kill my body, I was able to feed my soul with your content. A total bracha for this divorcee form Baltimore. I also love the positivity of your SOH podcasts.
One thing Rabbi Bender never gets enough credit for. He's got to be one of the best entertainers out there. Sense of humor , dry cynical approach. Priceless !
Turning 51 on Sukkos in Yerushalayim but still in NY as I listened to this. This was another winner episode. Love love love Rabbi Bender chinuch. The benefit of my phone addiction is getting to see my kids/grandchildren in Israel and listening to your great interviews and podcast 😊. Chag Sameach to all.
Hi! I'm 37 kah and listening from NJ...thank you so much for another epic episode. Rabbi Bender is a role model in chinuch, and it's always an honor to listen to him and hear his pearls of wisdom! A gut gebentsched yur, and keep up your great work!
I am a 52 year old mother of a family of all boys. I am also a toddler Morah and now a Bubby. This episode was very relevant. Thank you for providing this podcast. We are in Minnesota.
The extravagance level of weddings has gone down overall from when I was a kid. Even the rich ones who would take a hotel in NYC years ago , today will take the same local hall as the others.
Rabbi Bender knows how to make every human being feel valued. My son with Down Syndrome has the zechus to spend the summers with him in camp. Rabbi Bender makes my son feel so important and treasured.
I'm a 56-year-old woman from Lakewood. I listen to your awesome podcast while doing housework. I love your guest selection and appreciate "meeting" these inspiring people. Thank you!
60, single mom of 20 year old, living in JLM B”H! Great content, great variety. I raised my son in Florida and the state only helps 30:10 if you’re at or near the poverty level. My ex fought to keep our son out of yeshiva, so I paid it through high school. Thank Gd that today my son learns in Yeshiva in JLM and loves it!
I am 26 listening from SI New York! Love listening to rabbi bender! He says it how it is we are addicted! I got so much chizuk and inspiration to get off my phone and focus more on the kids.
Hi I am 26 years old and listening from Staten Island NY. Thank you for such an awesome episode! Parenting is so challenging without the added distractions all around, it’s good to get a wake up call and some chizuk once in a while
Hi. I am 65 years old listening to your podcast from Lakewood, NJ. There are no words for the caring, loving Mechanech, Pricipal for Rabbi Bender. I've never had any children in his Yeshiva but just from hearing all about Rabbi Bender over the years makes me wish we had sent our boys there. (Unfortunately it was a location issue.)
I loved Nachi’s pushing of the idea and adamance to create a system or screening to bring to light the presence of any mental or emotional issues taking place by someone involved in a shidduch. I was surprised to find out what Rabbi Bender pointed out about there already being a הוראה in place from the Gedolim saying that both sides in a shidduch must reveal to the other the existence of any mental or emotional health issues, I was not aware that there was already such an instruction in place, that was a relief to hear. I myself have felt for a long time that at the very least each side in a shidduch should actually ask the other about this area of life and closely pay attention to the response, it shouldn’t be ignored or assumed to be known about in the event that there was something to be concerned about, it should be addressed directly. To me, even if there is something by one side and it is denied, at least the topic was raised and the question asked, perhaps it would make that side think about it and be more comfortable to reveal it eventually (hopefully before any major decision is made),but it’s great to know that the Gedolim have already addressed and discussed such a thing, and I love how Nachi did not let go of it either, it really isn’t fair how these situations develop where a marriage takes place that’s doomed to fail due to a significant issue existing by one side that the other side was never aware of….
I'm 38 and I listeded this podcast for 2 years I think... 3 years since I started my jorney discovering judaims and 7 month since I started my conversion process BH❤ I JUST LOVE YOUR WORK❤
Hi i am 37 from Lakewood (hey cuz👋🏻) thank you so mucn for this amazing episode from Rabbi Bender I loved all the topics that were discussed and appreciated Rabbi Bender's normality regarding every topic! 69 boro Park...The Benders grew up close to us on Hooper Street. His mom was my kallah teacher. Taught my sister in B Y. Willi. Super special people ...Blumy Bender was my sister's classmate & friend and visited their home often. Super mechanech. Someone to emulate.
The smartphone has become convenient scapegoat here. I know plenty of parents all around me who have smartphones, and the kids are just fine. If theres problems its usually other things. Not saying the smartphone can't get abused just like anything else but it's usually not the root cause of the problem.
Checking and screening for mental and emotional health before marriage . Can be thrown out there as an idea for people to accept or reject. A boys and girls family can choose to request it from the other side prior to dating or engagement. And see where it all goes. Hard to enforce and implement but certainly can save many from bad marriages.
Hi. I'm 57, listening from Brooklyn NY. Great podcast. I want to make a suggest- yeshivahs should open their books to parents and donors. It would help with fundraising to know how money are spent..
