I never told you this, but one of the things I appreciate about you is that you give credit to every brand, regardless of how cheap or unappreciated they are and you never fall into the snob trap. Don't ever change, Chris. Big respect!
I have a large collection of Banana Republic fragrances. Black walnut is excellent, just wish it was an eau de parfum with higher oil concentration. It doesn’t project much and it has little to no sillage. Great skin scent to make the wearer happy.
Have both Metal Rain and Grassland and really like them. Recently purchased BR Tobacco and Tonka Bean and it is my favorite, of the three - sweet tobacco, vanilla, and a hint of sweet plum. All three are mass appealing top-notch inexpensive fragrances.
Just picked up a couple other frags from this line at TJ Maxx here in the US. Grabbed them for $20, which converts to about £14. Great quality frags for that price. Thanks for the impressions, will be on the lookout for these!
Picked up the one ounce for of metal rain 12 bucks at Burlington as a blind buy. One of my favorite openings ever! I actually got lemon, ambroxin (aquatic note), and heavy lavender in the opening. You do get that wet rock smell when it's about to rain and the morning dew hasn't burnt off the concrete yet smell. I do get a little bit of rust smell in there too but it's very subtle and works well even though that doesn't sound good. I'm only 2 hours in and no woods yet but it's such a great scent for the price. I might mix this one in with my daily uses in summer when I get tired of Y and polo blue.
Banana Republic is a great place for business casual clothing. I believe they are just the luxury version of GAP. Never have tried their fragrances though. Thank you for the excellent reviews.
banana republic is amazing. For the price, the quality is very high. For example: bergamot smells like bergamot in banana republic fragrances. I have "vintage green" and it's such a fresh, green and energizing fragrance.
I have 3 from the Icon line and presentation is great. Decent lighter mainstream interpretations of niche fragrances with a bit of a twist. Only issue is performance - 2-3 hours max and minimal projection. More of a skin scent on my skin so be interesting to see if you get any better performance.
Blind-bought Vintage Green and Oud Mosaic early last year after positive reviews on them. Oud Mosaic is indeed quite similar to Dior Oud Ispahan, too challenging for me, in the long run that Banana Republic is not pleasant to my nose. Vintage Green is much nicer but in a way too sharp and pungeant green, quite too bright. After some time got a bit overwhelming for me, so did not enjoy wearing it as much as I thought I would. This Spring I will try it again, maybe less sprays and layering with Molecule 02 or some musk to soften it. Because of my experiences with those, decided to not blind-buy any other Banana Republics regardless of hype.
Same here, Oud Mosaic is too much of a stinky old people scent, reminds me of an old woman, not something I want to smell like. Vintage Green is a mix of love and hate for me, it's fresh and bright and cool but I totally get that sharpness you're mentioning and sometimes it's just too much
I like metal rain a lot too bad it doesn’t last that long. Maybe I need to overspray but that usually makes me paranoid that I’m going to kill everyone with the scent for an hour or two and it still fades lol.
I’ve owned 2 or 3 BR fragrances 10 years ago. I just never trusted them to make anything good. I might once again give their brand a chance but it’s unlikely, since they’ve lost my respect from way back 😒.

No snobbery here!
Banana Republic - 'Black Walnut' is a must have. I discovered it on holiday in Orlando and love. Im on my third bottle since 2017.

Great first impressions and I enjoyed it and I can't wait to 👀 full reviews on them and have a blessed day
78 Vintage Green luv it 💜
Vintage Green and Oud Mosaic 🔥 cheers mate 👍
Absolutely!! Black Platinum is great too. :)
@@Healthyspritz I have that one too🔥

Every time I hear Grassland, I instantly think of Super Mario 3. Two warp whistles in one world. Not a bad haul.
Lol. That's EXACTLY what I think of as well. It's my all time favorite game. Part of me wants to purchase this just for the name.

Their best one so far is Tobacco & Tonka Bean imo, amazing winter scent

@@FRAGMENTAL you are very welcome
I love Banana Republic stuff, always easy to find on Fragrance Direct. I would highly recommend Neroli wood! Great video

I love their Linen Vetiver.
They’re available in the UK on random sites. Vintage Green is a good one.
Debenhams did sell banana republic fragrances not sure if they still do.. superdrug and perfume shop also sell banana republic as well
The only one that I own from the line is BR Dark Cherry & Amber EDP
Nice video, you can purchase Banana Republic fragrances in the UK from Superdrug online

Indeed it has a sharpness. I like that but I can see some people are put off by that
You should definitely try Oud Mosaic, it is so interesting
If I get one more Tom Ford with a crooked sticker I might lose my mind
🤣
I've tried a few BR fragrances & my problem isn't quality, it's longevity. I only get 2-3hrs

I really love their Icon collection, crackin fragrances for a low price. Black Platinum and Oud Mosaic are killer.
I must try them!
Love black platinum ❤
Not at all familiar with BR fragrances, but presentation and overall composition sounds good.

Notino EU has a good Banana Republic stock... Unfortunately they don't have Metal Rain and Grassland yet... I'm craving to get Grassland
Oud Mosaic!
I find that Grassland smells similar to Creed Himalaya in the first 15 minutes or so.
Grassland smells like Davidoff - Cool Water to me.
