    It’s always interesting to see “shop tours”, especially small ones like yours. It’s amazing what people can do in a small shop. Keep up the good work!

      Totally agree, love shop tours myself. Still a lot of improvement I think I can make in the space!

    Great use of space. Just found your channel. I have a Bambu P1S and I’m still learning. I mostly use it to make things for my woodshop. But I want to start getting more organized in my woodshop and my craft studio. I think it’s the perfect tool

      Thanks! The P1S will be great for organization

    Appreciate your constant updates/overviews of your process. Ive got similar ambitions coming into the new year. Been upskilling on the 3D modeling tools the and plan to start running off prints on my X1C. NGL its nice to see someone starting off in a similar spot in the corner of their basement haha. Wish you the best in continuing your goals!

    Thanks for the inside peek! I can’t wait to see what you do with an AMS and multiple colors! Do you print any stock in advance to fulfill orders more quickly? I know you don’t have a lot of space to store inventory…

    • @OfficialOffDaBench
      @OfficialOffDaBench  10 วันที่ผ่านมา

      At this time I don't print stock of any items. Too much to store in my little space. Also I don't get enough orders for on demand prints to be an issue :)

    I’m glad about your honest approach and you’re not talking about getting 100,000 subscribers in a year which seems kind of stupid and silly when you came from nothing and are new to the TH-cam community. Keep up the honest hard work 👍👍

    The multicolor option opens up a whole new world. Plus all your mini printers can use them too. A wise choice for sure. Bambu definitely has a hold on that market but others are coming up fast. They really need to come out with a large format model. Great little shop! Love your cast iron tree.

    would be really helpful to show how you track yours sales/inventory

    • @OfficialOffDaBench
      @OfficialOffDaBench  19 วันที่ผ่านมา

      All orders are printed after an order is made. I currently don't keep any stock of products. Filament is purchased in bulk from Bambu, usually $200 at a time. This will last me quite a while, but if I run out of a color and need something until a new Bambu filament arrives I order next day off Amazon. Sales are tracked right in the Etsy dashboard, so I don't actually have any work to do there.

    Where did you get your pegboard? Also, what print cleaning do you do? Thanks Chris!

    • @OfficialOffDaBench
      @OfficialOffDaBench  19 วันที่ผ่านมา

      I got my pegboard from Lowes or Home Depot. Can't remember which. For the textured build plates I use isopropyl alcohol.

    Since i see you working in basement next to your hot water tank and maybe furnace, how are you handling with any humidity issues ? Do you have to dry your filaments or any such problems ?. I also you might get the multicolor AMS in future would that affect with environment down there ?. As I am thinking of the same with my basement.

    • @OfficialOffDaBench
      @OfficialOffDaBench  10 วันที่ผ่านมา

      No issues with the water heater so close! I also don't dry my filaments or do anything special with them.

    The bins that you mount onto the panel with many holes - this panel - did you also print it, or it's purchased off shelves somewhere?

    • @OfficialOffDaBench
      @OfficialOffDaBench  15 วันที่ผ่านมา

      I 3D modeled and printed all the bins :)

    Hey Chris. I love what you’re doing. You got me inspired to purchase my A1 Mini. I’ve had it for almost 1 month now. And it’s been going great up until 2 days ago. I’ve been having several issues with print quality, especially on the first layer. Have you experienced any issues with your A1 Minis? Do you have any advice on what’s worked for you? Would really appreciate the help.

    • @OfficialOffDaBench
      @OfficialOffDaBench  23 วันที่ผ่านมา +2

      Yes! First recommendation would be to a manual bed tramming, then run a full calibration. Here is the link to the Bambu site. I've done this once on each printer and not had any problems since.

    Do you have any filtration for the 3D printers? If so, what do you do/have?

    • @OfficialOffDaBench
      @OfficialOffDaBench  19 วันที่ผ่านมา

      I don't have anything specific for air filtration, mainly because I print with PLA.

    hey man. liking your Channel. here's a question. Have you had to keep your space ambient temperature level or decent, to keep from having to enclose your printers?

    • @OfficialOffDaBench
      @OfficialOffDaBench  19 วันที่ผ่านมา

      Surprisingly I've had minimal problems with temperature. I don't keep the space an even temp and the printers back up to a crawl space in my basement. This all said, my products are made of PLA which is less fickle than other materials.

    just wondering why you have the printers number from right to left ... my OCD would want them from 123 starting from left to right :)

    You're 3rd vlog got recommended to me and I have been watching since then. you inspired me to start my own Etsy shop which I actually just launched earlier today selling 3D printed products I designed. Thanks for making these videos and showing us all how we can use 3D printing to start earning a bit of extra income. Hoping to be a successful shop like yours soon! Keep up the awesome work looking forward to the next video.

    • @OfficialOffDaBench
      @OfficialOffDaBench  19 วันที่ผ่านมา

      The A1mini below is used for hobby prints only. Tabletop war-games to be specific. The Ender 2 was my first printer which started this business, but its become obsolete with the A1 Minis.

    how does this make sense other then just being a hobby. The amount of time spent working in that 3d farm, packing, shipping, etc, what does that come up as hourly pay?

    • @InternetDoggo
      @InternetDoggo 22 วันที่ผ่านมา

      I'm sure it's not viable right now, but as it grows it becomes more profitable. It would be cool to see a cost breakdown though.

    • @OfficialOffDaBench
      @OfficialOffDaBench  19 วันที่ผ่านมา +2

      Good question! Right now all profits help me expand the tools I have to increase production, streamline processes, and make these videos. One reason I wanted to share my journey is because most people don't share the actual work and struggles that go into starting a business. Probably because most businesses fail. What I'm showing is the reality of starting a business, it's a ton of work for very little money, but something no entrepreneur can avoid. If someone tells you they have a way to skip this part of business they are either lying, clueless, or have tons of money to begin with.
