Absolutely! I'm happy to be able to create it. I have a few videos talking some communities out there but I have more planned for the future to highlight their efforts. :)
I really like it that the video starts with the most important information: Solarpunk CONFLICTS with capitalism. Solarpunk without class strugle is just worldbuilding.
Great introduction. I have kept my eye on solarpunk communities for years and yet you made suggestions that I hadn't considered incorporating into my daily life. Thank you!
I was brought here by my 11 year old sons new high school timetable. He has a class called solar punk island. I have never heard of this before now but if it’s anti capitalism then I’m all ears!
Wow, I been living Solar-punk all this time, but never even knew the term! LOL. My idea - don't buy anything that you can't dispose of. Example: I buy my fish from a butcher shop wrapped in newspaper, and I like the evening fire with the paper after we eat. Funny part, I had to bring my own newspaper to do this, but the butcher soon saw poeple notice my non-plastic approach and they started offering the newspaper as an option - it grew from there!
Thank you! I've been trying to instill the concepts you show here in Solarpunk groups, but there's a lot of people bent on having it be a greenwashed cyberpunk unrealistic fantasy.
An important one is missing: eat less meat. Meat, particularly red meat, is a major driver of climate change and environmental destruction. You could replace it with healthier alternatives such as beans, lentils or tofu. Or maybe eat more chicken/turkey instead of beef/pork.
Very niche suggestion: rabbit owners, your pet's leavings are a high quality very in demand fertilizer that can be thrown right into the garden without even needing to be composted. Contact your local community garden if you don't garden yourself.
Here in Wales cows milk can be a great local product especially when done like Pentrefelin dairy just up the road from me. Their calf at foot model and native Red poll cows is as good as dairying gets. Plant based milk is shipped in from all over the world almost exclusively by large corporations. I get it that some people are dairy intolerant but for the vast majority the aren't cows milk can be a fantastic local product. Thanks for telling me a bit about Solarpunk.
big no no on zoos. Zoos are the epitome of colonial "collection" culture and ethical zoos do literally not exist. Other than that some cool new ideas i havent thought about yet :) Tho changing what and how you personally consume wont change the world, so the first two ones, voting and joining a union are def the most important imo.
A lot of zoos (at least where I am from) are animals that physically cannot be released into the wild due to missing limbs, disabilities, etc. It is possible to have an ethical zoo as long as the animals aren't capable of surviving in the wild and are treated well, with plenty of enrichment and care. Don't get me wrong: having able-bodied animals that are capable of surviving on their own is cruel and unethical. I'm specifically talking about animals that, for one reason or another, cannot be released safely and are instead given a home that is well maintained and spacious.
@@AsteraLore most animals in zoos are not able to survive in the wild simply BECAUSE they spent their whole life in captiity. Its a neverending cycle. I get your point, and I do think theres ethical ways like wildlife reserves, but the vast majority of zoos are not like that at all. The impact Zoos have on wildlife preservation is, againts their own claims, actually close to zero.
Omg I am so excited to see this content, just go introduce to Solar Punk and I really want to be apart of a movement that is dedicated to getting rid of capitalism and cultivating a culture the prioritises the health and wellness of human beings and our planet!!
Hey Dear, maybe i missed it, but could you link the script for the video? Its great to have all the information combined that you mention in the different levels. What you can do and how to make big or small changes. I would like to spread these in my local community and in my family for them to finally have an overview and a comprehensive list of all the Options :) But if there is something even more detailed out there feel free to share too. I would really appreciate it and you would help a lot locally. Much love, Martin
Personally, i dont understand the zoo point and how it relates to solarpunk. Zoos are literally a capitalist circus in which they capitalize out of taking wild animals and fuel animal trafficking. Animals deserve to be in their natural habitat, and if they need support, i would say actually to search for animal sanctuaries. Some animal sanctuaries are for farm animals, and there are also others that save wild animals from circuses and zoos. An animal sanctuary takes care of their needs and makes a safe space for them, they do not capitalize out of people visiting and such.
Hi @lug811! It really does depend on the zoo. Zoos that are associated with the Association of Zoos and Aquariums, such as the Toronto Zoo are dedicated to conservation and animal welfare. There's a reason why I made a point of stating to research the zoo and how they treat their animals. Zoos, if set up properly with said focus on conservation and welfare, can provide spaces for education and appreciation of nature. With animal sanctuaries, you have to be careful as they are not federally regulated as zoos are. Hence ending up with places like are featured in Tiger King. It really depends on the individual place, and its why it's important to do your research about the location and their ethics. Here are some articles talking further on the matter, one from the AZA and one from National Geographic: Why Zoos and Aquariums are Beneficial www.aza.org/connect-stories/stories/benefits-of-zoos?locale=en Are Wildlife Sanctuaries Good for Animals? www.nationalgeographic.com/animals/article/140320-animal-sanctuary-wildlife-exotic-tiger-zoo
I agree with some of the things you say(especially about planned obsolescence), but I do not support vandalism or leaving notes in private businesses, things like this are only going to anger and frustrate people. You cannot force people to change, you can only encourage them to.
I use as I call it Soviet Solarpunk, which is Solarpunk with certain aesthetics of Sovietwave combined with Genetic Engineering (towards Plants, usually modifying them so they also produce electricity for the neighborhood and/or city)
Thanks for putting a focus on renters, appartment dwellers and other city rats. Ecologist video/propositions always forget about those folks beyond "use bike more, no car, take trains". Which are all true...but with such focus on solar roof and home garden or micro-green cave (none of those being feasible for renters and appt dwellers) it does completely leave them out of these futures at some point. SO THANKS AL LOT
Of course! I've rented myself for nearly a decade and became frustrated with how many times I couldn't do anything with what was recommended. It's so important to include everyone! I'm happy you liked it so much. :)
i loooooved this video. thank you for putting it all together and for all the research done. the only thing i disagree with, and really think it's got nothing to do with solarpunk is going to the zoo! that point left me like o.O
I'm glad that you liked it so much! While I have gotten a lot of people who disagree with the point about zoos, my personal experience and a number of other people's experiences with zoos are places like the Toronto Zoo! Places like that that work for conservancy and introducing endangered species back into the wild. They do a lot of good work, and have a huge focus on providing safe, healthy environments for their creatures. Zoos are often a place for people to be exposed to other living beings that they wouldn't have had a chance otherwise, and can foster a passion for nature in urban environments. There are a lot of shit zoos out there, and it's important that we hold them accountable to improve the conditions that they have for our fellow living beings, or shut them down if it isn't good enough.
Thank you for making this channel and this video! Just a note about 4:50 "Romanticization of indigenous culture": Many indigenous cultures have/had advanced ecological technologies developed with R&D periods of thousands of years which are being researched now by scientists involved in biomimicry, engineering, biology, chemistry etc... Everyday new research is being published. Also, "Globally, the UN recognizes that Indigenous peoples protect 80% of the world’s remaining biodiversity and scientists have shown that Indigenous management practices in Brazil, Canada, and Australia provides the same level of ecosystem support and protection as any imposed protected area" Quote from Andrewism "What Does It Mean To Be Indigenous?". Today's unsustainable economy that you speak against is very arrogant with it's attitude of - Humanity is above nature and nature is there to serve and be used by it. I feel the sentence you said "Romanticization of indigenous culture" can seem suggestive to that same old arrogance. (I'm aware that i'm taking what you said out of context when you were talking specifically about AnarchoPrimitivism, but still feel it's important. Also I guess you already knew this, like in your video "How to Make Seed Bombs" you mentioned the old Japanese knowledge.) I believe that for Solarpunk to succeed we have to learn a lot from indigenous cultures. For example, I would love to see a conversation between Solarpunk activist and Dr. Lyla June regarding traditional land stewardship practices. Thank you :)
As a side note, I think the solar punk movement has a lot of parrels with the alternative techmovement of the 1970 and the romantic moment of the 1920s
zoos are not good or bad across the board. they do a lot of absolutely crucial work for education, outreach, funding, conservation, rescue, and research.
@kate-ip3ok Conservatories do conservation. Zoos are for the public to use animals as entertainment, studies show that their educational value is overestimated. Sanctuaries are way better, and let people interact with the animals as the animals like it if they are a good animal sanctuary. Look up human zoos, and where this whole practice stems from 🌱
Thanks for the video! I always struggle to think of ways to get more involved and talking to and therefore finding new likeminded people in my area; this will most definitely help! One point made me stumble though: shouldn't we free ALL living beings from their oppression? Animals in Zoos are cute and fascinating to look at, yeah, but they are most of the time neither native nor are they free. Why not extend the thought of being against oppression to animals? Even if Zoos tell people, that the money they make is being used to support projects helping endangered animals etc.; i just don't get, why we have to goggle at animals behind windows, behind bars, behind idk wide bodies of water AND walls, it feels icky.
I love the video, but you can't be serious with the zoo membership, almost no zoo keeps their animals even remotely how they should be kept. Let's not forget that if people want to go back to anarcho primivitism (without agriculture) that the world could only feed around 10-20 million people.
Brand control is actually a high skill activity because mega corporations own so many brands that it is almost impossible for consumers to find out wich brand is involved in wich associations. That's where voting comes into play. We have limited influence in product consumption that doesn't extend the green washing marketing. One of the reasons is governmental subsdidy of products that are sufferng from "Demand and Supply" (Gas or Milk for example). That's where politics comes in place. Vote.
Capitolism and Consumerism have been confused in this video. Some form of interaction between collectivist systems and capitolist systems. No pure system we have today will work. Humans don't fit neatly into catagories, why do we assume our systems will too?
Zoo is really bad, only thing I wasnt really happy with in this vid Zoos are in general a very bad place for animals, most of the time the can not be help properly there and the conditions these animals have to face every day are quite frankly disgusting. In my opinion, a solarpunk society will get rid of zoos just out of the moral doubtfulness of these places. Be my guest to inform yourself in greater details about that topic, I am unsure about any valid sources in the englisch language, since I only know about scientists and animal-rights activists in germany. But it IS a very big issue
One might argue that solarpunk romanticizes technology in the same way it claims anarcho primitivism romanticizes the past. Perhaps both have valuable insight and balance each other out. I'm also not a fan of making solarpunk activist or political, unless the individual chooses. Christian monks live radical solarpunk existences for example but would not favor activism. It is all interesting to see it all evolve though.
Solarpunk focuses on reasonable tech rather than high tech or low tech, and solarpunk has always been political. Whatever speaks to the individual however. :)
Solarpunk by DEFINITION is political. Otherwise why are you claiming the label of "punk"? If you want to claim to be politically "neutral" that's fine, but don't call yourself solarpunk then. You're just environmentally conscious.
@@jessicastjames6202 Punk is about rebellion and non conformity. That may or may not involve politics. Some may even withdraw from politics as a part of their rebellion. These days political correctness for example is the way of the masses. Punk has never been about any of that.
@@jessicastjames6202 You're just gatekeeping. I don't subscribe 100% to the ideology many in the community do, but you can work towards a better future without being a pawn for someones political ideology. You're not "punk" if you expect complete conformity in the movement.
Not right now though. We do not have enough natural (like actually natural) resources to feed people in cities. Poor people do not have resources or knowledge to simply sustain themselves. For transport of food to cities, you need technology. If you don't think about this issue, you are partly buying into the eugenics propaganda
great video but i would also suggest taking up a plant based diet or at the very lest reduce meat consumption. animal agriculture is a major contributor to green house gas emissions and deforestation as well it being a kinder option to our fellow creatures.
I'm an electronic music producer and am working on some solarpunk music. I'm looking for some visual artists to connect with to do some video to go with the music...
There should not be zoos We can’t just talk about helping nature and all humans and then not care about animals Who tf needs zoos???? We just need them bc we’re so shallow trying to hold on to every kind of happyness so we pull in these animals to suffer as well That’s all it is Capitalistic shit And it hurts And on top of that when we stop with that and live happyly We don’t even need to fill any void Ffs
Legitimate question from a doomer trying to escape the algorithm. I'm just starting the video and haven't researched this before. Wouldn't reducing population help and isn't there a way to make it equitable so that all demographics contribute less rather than singling out a particular demographic?
People don't bother thinking about depopulation because to them, it is literally the H*caust But I understand your point. Besides, as a resident of the "third world" or the "global south," there is a distinct lack of care for the environment among people here. Littering places, trashing places, not giving a fuck about pollution are all normal. If you do care about the environment, people insult you as a "liberal." Point is, some groups need to be addressed differently, and sure, if that is racism then so be it! Groups generating the most carbon footprint must be addressed with the greatest authority, but that shouldn't leave anyone out. So yeah, you're right, we must make it equitable. The advent of AI and automation is going to leave hundreds of millions unemployed potentially, which is just going to cause even more problems. Humanity was never meant to exceed 1 billion anyways. Depopulation is a must, but everyone hates us for pushing for it.
"Capitalism is a zero-sum system" is exactly the opposite of the truth. Capitalism requires continuous growth of monetary value (although not necessarily material inputs) to provide profits. i.e. if the monetary value of wealth becomes fixed (zero sum), profits can't exist. Production must also grow with population, to maintain living standard parity.
@@LongDefiant That may be true in the short term, although not necessarily. As a general rule, better paid employees are also more productive, because the labor market is the same as any market in that you get what you pay for. Capitalism, when it is well regulated and optimized, functions on the principle of mutual benefit. Exploitative interactions may result in short-term gain for one party, but compromise the ability of the other party to continue to participate in the market. Employees also function as consumers of products, whether directly or indirectly. The purpose of economic activity is to provide for the needs and wants of the population, and the size of the economy ("the pie") depends on the ability of every participant to acquire those needs and wants sustainably. The inefficiency of the economy in achieving that purpose is compromised by the tragedy of the commons. What may benefit one at the expense of the other is also at the expense of the system as a whole, which cannot be optimized while such imbalances are allowed to persist. Violations of mutually beneficial exchange limit the viability of the economy. However this is not a feature unique to capitalism, it is a feature of human interaction. In communist systems, exploitation occurs by a different means, primarily official corruption, but the results are evident in the system's failure to provide consumer products abundantly. As a generality, purist systems, whether unregulated laisez-faire capitalism, or communism which prohibits property rights and profit, fail to achieve production adequate to the needs of the population. Addressing externalities is an inherently long-term common benefit, with short-term costs. Only hybrid systems, actively managed, have potential to achieve optimal benefit to humankind.
0:50 hold up! "Fight" for it? I don't really like that word. Have we "fight" enough? The "fight" mentality is worse than any disease. How about we "work" for it?
Sounds like every other movement which will ultimately lead to fascism, also. Meditate. As those Bahai people like to say "You can't have a revolution without a revelation."
Man this whole thing really made so much sense EXCEPT the union thing.... 😅 idk if its in my country but a union is basically an undercover charity bs yarn. They make money and provide nothing? I find unions are the polar opposite to everything mentioned here. They're quite literally the opposite of solar punk. I found that really bizzare.
I love Solarpunk, but, to be honest, I don't like the suggestions. We won't end capitalism with recycling and buying bamboo toothbrushes. Conspicuous consumption as a way out of the climate crisis is just individualist and a capitalist attempt at reform again. Instead, we need mass movements to protest and to hold decision-makers accountable for their inability to change our economic system towards one that can coexist with our planet. We need to do activism against fossil fuels. Focusing on individual solutions instead of getting organised in a protest movement is contraproductive.
Why is it so hard for people to pay attention? The point of Solarpunk is to imagine a future whereby humans can engage with technology to produce sustainable and equitable outcomes. It’s opposite of cyberpunk. The suggestions of lifestyle changes are merely some of the suggestions worth considering. According to anarchist praxis, in order for a system to be replaced, one needs to create the new within the shell of the old. Which means embodying the mentality and behaviors of the world that one strives for. It means creating networks, amassing resources, skill building etc. so that when the system collapses (which is inevitable) a new system will already be there to replace it. This is in contrast to other typical forms of activism which either try and alter the current system bit by bit (which usually ends up being two steps forward one step back) or trying to take the system down without a care in the world for what happens next.

I'd love to see some more videos about the solarpunk community and mutual aid. I don't know if any communities that follow solarpunk values and incorporate high tech with sustainability & fighting the clipate change exist? But I sure would love to hear about them if they do.
Thank you!
No problem, I'm glad that we're all working together to make our lives more solarpunk. :)
Go and visit botanical gardens rather than zoos. Zoos are pretty messed up when you think about it.
Solarpunks reasonable technology use is balm for my soul.
I was brought here by my 11 year old sons new high school timetable. He has a class called solar punk island. I have never heard of this before now but if it’s anti capitalism then I’m all ears!
Oh my gosh I would love a class like that
Damn, I didnt expected that video to be so well documented, informed and PRACTICAL. Deserve way way more views !
Thank you! That's very kind of you.
You are most welcome. I've seen exactly what you're talking about and it's part of the reason why I put out these videos. Hope this helps!
Aren’t Zoos animal prisons?
Yes
This was good and densely-packed sensible suggestions, thanks.
Glad it was helpful!
Amazing video! Solarpunk optimism always helps my mood :)
Thank you! Its amazing what that sense of hope will do.
So many good ideas, am going to save this! Bought a house, going to refurbish this year
If you believe in yourself and with a tiny pinch of magic, all your dreams can come true
An important one is missing: eat less meat. Meat, particularly red meat, is a major driver of climate change and environmental destruction. You could replace it with healthier alternatives such as beans, lentils or tofu. Or maybe eat more chicken/turkey instead of beef/pork.
Great video, keep it up. We need more Solarpunk esposure; thanks for this one.
Love everything except zoos, won't support that, but I can support sanctuaries.
I go with you on a lot of Pointe but a Zoo membership? Strongly recommend reasearch into what zoos are like for the animals and the environment.
Thanks for the links and video. I'm glad this showed up in my feed.
You're so welcome! I'm glad you enjoyed. :)
Really well done! Thanks for posting it up ♥
Very niche suggestion: rabbit owners, your pet's leavings are a high quality very in demand fertilizer that can be thrown right into the garden without even needing to be composted. Contact your local community garden if you don't garden yourself.
Watching this while I am waiting to take the bus, to a solar punk festival in Germany.
Great video!!!!! It's always wonderful seeing new solarpunk content! ^u^
Thank you!!
big no no on zoos.
Lots of really good suggestions 👍
Thank you! Definitely check out the link to the reddit to see the full list of suggestions.
Hey! The link to the original reddit post should be in the description. :) Hope that helps you and your community Martin!
I guess I was solar punk before solar punk was solar punk.
Thanks for making this video!!! So helpful 😊
I’ve been Solar Punk since the fifties. Building the ultimate solarium today. So sweet! Nice video. Thank you for kickstarting my solar Utopia day.
Here are some articles talking further on the matter, one from the AZA and one from National Geographic:
Why Zoos and Aquariums are Beneficial
www.aza.org/connect-stories/stories/benefits-of-zoos?locale=en
Are Wildlife Sanctuaries Good for Animals?
www.nationalgeographic.com/animals/article/140320-animal-sanctuary-wildlife-exotic-tiger-zoo
Animals are individuals and no innocent individual deserves to be imprisoned. I rarely hear Solarpunk address veganism and animal rights/ethics.
Excellent! :) I've been looking for 'a place' like this.
If I could, would have made this! Great job!
Love this movement ❤
solar powered cyborgs. I LOVE THE IDEA
Great video!
i loooooved this video. thank you for putting it all together and for all the research done. the only thing i disagree with, and really think it's got nothing to do with solarpunk is going to the zoo! that point left me like o.O
The entire pokemon series is based on a solar punk future, multiple in fact.
Gamefreak and Nintendo have faith.
I'd love to watch it, but something is wrong with the audio, and it bothers me so much
Thank you for making this channel and this video!
Just a note about 4:50 "Romanticization of indigenous culture":
Many indigenous cultures have/had advanced ecological technologies developed with R&D periods of thousands of years which are being researched now by scientists involved in biomimicry, engineering, biology, chemistry etc...
Also I guess you already knew this, like in your video "How to Make Seed Bombs" you mentioned the old Japanese knowledge.)
I believe that for Solarpunk to succeed we have to learn a lot from indigenous cultures.
For example, I would love to see a conversation between Solarpunk activist and Dr. Lyla June regarding traditional land stewardship practices.
Thank you :)
This is amazing ty soooo much
Solarpunk and the Symbiocene have a lot in common!
Very informative, thank you ❤️
Great video really impressed by how you put in alot of positive things you can do to make this less of asthetic and more of a viable eco future.
As a side note, I think the solar punk movement has a lot of parrels with the alternative techmovement of the 1970 and the romantic moment of the 1920s
This looks good.
Zoos are not okay, wild animals do not want to be caged, and were not made to be caged 🌱☘️🍀🌿
zoos are not good or bad across the board. they do a lot of absolutely crucial work for education, outreach, funding, conservation, rescue, and research.
@kate-ip3ok Conservatories do conservation. Zoos are for the public to use animals as entertainment, studies show that their educational value is overestimated. Sanctuaries are way better, and let people interact with the animals as the animals like it if they are a good animal sanctuary. Look up human zoos, and where this whole practice stems from 🌱
Im 11 terning 12 soon and im happy that my children might have this future 😊
"vote" bc that worked so well in the past?
the rest is fine ig, but we need to make solarpunk more anarchist again
Yeah, voting for capitalist rulers won't make capitalism go away.
I don't want there to be a good dictator, I want NO dictator!!!!
I say the video was very informative and helpful
Glad you think so! :)
I was with it up until voting and electric cars. Now it's clear coercive forces sponsor this video.
Literally not sponsored by anyone
@@TheSolarpunkScene electric cars suck
Awesome video! Thank you!
Glad you liked it! :)
solar punk is land back
I love the video, but you can't be serious with the zoo membership, almost no zoo keeps their animals even remotely how they should be kept.
Let's not forget that if people want to go back to anarcho primivitism (without agriculture) that the world could only feed around 10-20 million people.
I believe in Solarpunk, but you ruined it. You actually fumbled the bag.
Vote.
Great stuff!
Thanks!
Capitolism and Consumerism have been confused in this video. Some form of interaction between collectivist systems and capitolist systems.
No pure system we have today will work. Humans don't fit neatly into catagories, why do we assume our systems will too?
So if solarpunk is not the term for green dystopia, what is?
Great video. Anyone know where is the cartoon bit from? I would like to see more :)
Dear Alice
Zoo is really bad, only thing I wasnt really happy with in this vid
Zoos are in general a very bad place for animals, most of the time the can not be help properly there and the conditions these animals have to face every day are quite frankly disgusting.
When will this game be out? I am willing to try early access.
Botanical gardens yes, zoos no; all animals should be in their natural environment. You should think of editing that section out.
great video
Thank you!
I used solar power at my very first Burning Man in '98!
Nice!
Haha felt weird to hear capitalism introduced with the angel de la independencia in Mexico city
Anarcho primitivism reminds me of the unibomber manifesto thoughts
*Unabomber
Out of curiosity, as someone who doesn't shop at larger stores often, what is the problem with Hobby Lobby? Love the video by the way!
Hobby lobby is owned by facist who use child labor
Do not support Zoos!
"We use technology and knowledge to care for all humans". Nature provides all that humans need to care for themselves.
I like the concept but what do y'all create how are y'all going to produce solar panels and renewable energy
Why boycott Kellogg’s?
There should not be zoos
We can’t just talk about helping nature and all humans and then not care about animals
Who tf needs zoos????
We just need them bc we’re so shallow trying to hold on to every kind of happyness so we pull in these animals to suffer as well
That’s all it is
Capitalistic shit
And it hurts
And on top of that when we stop with that and live happyly
We don’t even need to fill any void
Ffs
Legitimate question from a doomer trying to escape the algorithm. I'm just starting the video and haven't researched this before.
Wouldn't reducing population help and isn't there a way to make it equitable so that all demographics contribute less rather than singling out a particular demographic?
People don't bother thinking about depopulation because to them, it is literally the H*caust
But I understand your point.
Besides, as a resident of the "third world" or the "global south," there is a distinct lack of care for the environment among people here.
Littering places, trashing places, not giving a fuck about pollution are all normal. If you do care about the environment, people insult you as a "liberal."
Point is, some groups need to be addressed differently, and sure, if that is racism then so be it!
But if you pay the worker less, the owner gets more, right?
When you are facing down capitalism it's definitely going to be a fight
@@ashhorne2131 capitalism is not my problem
@@ashhorne2131 I have a feeling that people use that word just because someone else said so without thinking about it
Sounds like every other movement which will ultimately lead to fascism, also. Meditate. As those Bahai people like to say "You can't have a revolution without a revelation."
“Literally anything = fascism”
Man this whole thing really made so much sense EXCEPT the union thing.... 😅 idk if its in my country but a union is basically an undercover charity bs yarn. They make money and provide nothing? I find unions are the polar opposite to everything mentioned here. They're quite literally the opposite of solar punk. I found that really bizzare.
I'm in pennsylvania, most of the people I talk to who are in unions enjoy them.
The only thing solar punk need to be perfect is an emphasis on culture and tradicional architecture. Eco-culturepunk idk
Primitism is the least controversal, except that its impossible to feed billions without tech and 50% of the planet would starve?
This is in contrast to other typical forms of activism which either try and alter the current system bit by bit (which usually ends up being two steps forward one step back) or trying to take the system down without a care in the world for what happens next.
oh boy ... that first sentence made me feel like im gonna get indoctrinated into some extreme political view xD... dont understand me wrong i LOVE solarpunk .... just talking about the literal wording of the first sentence of the video
the zoo?? wtf?
I had the same idea
