- A Russian and Ukrainian delegate got into a scuffle at the parliamentary assembly of the Black Sea Economic Cooperation in Turkey.

The footage showed the Russian delegations secretary, Valery Stavitsky, snatching a Ukrainian flag out of the hands of his Ukrainian counterpart, Oleksandr Marikovski, who unfurled the flag behind another Russian delegate who was giving an interview. Marikovski uploaded the footage to his Facebook account

@@yerri5567 Of course it is Ukraine's flag. The trident emblem was banned by the Soviets but it is now widely added to the more common simple blue and yellow flag because it is a link to Kyivan Rus, founded in Kyiv and predating Russia.
@@oldbloke135 What I mean is that its not the countrys national flag. The current Ukraine was founded in 1991 after collapse of the USSR. If they wanted to use that flag as their official national flag they shouldve done so after the collapse of the Soviet and at the founding of Ukraine in 1991.
Using any flag prior to their current government is not their countrys flag. Otherwise one country can claim a million different flags in the history of their land. Official or not.

Displaying the flag was a reasonable peaceful diplomatic expression of opposition to the Aggressor, Russia, and its crimes against humanity. The Russians' failure to respect Human Rights is reflected by it's delegate's aggressive violations of forcibly stripping away another's right to peacefully express himself (on behalf of his Sovereign nation) and forcibly stealing another's property.The Ukrainians' delegate had every right to defend his Human Rights and recover his property. Within the context of Russia's crimes against humanity, the Ukrainian delegate's actions are very mild.
