no wonder i had like 45k DEF and 3k HP but i still died easily on bunny, now I optimized my module and got around 25k DEF and 14k HP and its much better!!
@@DG-2323 there are a good number of modules that buff hp. Got to the Access Log for Modules and search HP. You'll find everything there. They for sure have the blue Increased HP maxed which is already +190%. It can go crazy from there tbh. Though 14k is quite high.
@@DG-2323depends if you beat the campaign, if you did then those numbers are due to ultimate HP external components with max mp also equipped inside the roll pool. Also if your max hp mod is maxed out that’s another reason that’s all I know, most likely someone knows more than me brotha.

this is great , thank you . i noticed when i was at 96k def and when i hit 100k i saw a difference. now after watching this vid ill go back down to 60k and stack hp.
LOVE this man. This is what I found too in my calculations in me soloing and moving things around to test shields, hp, and defense. This is spot on in after messing with every combination possible making bunny solo any end game content without any worries for damage being done to her

Haven't read the comments but off the tip of my head, there is a module for crit resist. Haven't noticed any crazy crit though. As for the formula, the damage can change based on weapon damage(crush, etc). Also probably a flat rate based on enemy type(normal, commander, etc).

Coming from POE and doing math for the most dumb things, using like 5 external programs and the bests build videos being 40 min long math class with 30 seg gameplay showcase this video is a caress to my soul
I love numbers. Number go up , good. Def should be simple (if u have 1k hp, 0def, u take 100damage u take 100 damage, thàt makes sense. If u have 1khp and 2k def when u get hit for 100damage it should get mitigated by half dealing only 50damage. But if you have 500hp and 2k defence it should scale down as it should work off your up value first. I think defence should be reworked as a DR % on top your your up before or after resistances.)

Eventually players will figure out the attack values of various mobs. That said, someone will eventually builda TFD wiki with this stuff /if/ the game stays popular enough.
The jump cuts are driving me crazy. Here's the summary of the video: Defense reduces incoming damage according to a formula that the speaker couldn't quite figure out. But he did find out that defense has diminishing returns. The more defense you have, the less effective each additional point of defense becomes. The speaker recommends having around 40,000 to 50,000 defense for the most bang for your buck. Elemental resistances are separate from defense and they are subtractive. They reduce the amount of elemental damage you take. The speaker recommends having around 5 to 7,000 elemental resistances. Similar to defense, elemental resistances also have diminishing returns.

Subbed right away after seeing the math and logic behind all this. As for what I'd love to see, well there are far more modules than weapons I'd love to see a weapons list and module overviews or builds, its what I struggle with the most (currently at executioner and final bunny quest).

Really cool, I've been wondering about defence ever since the first beta and stacking as much as possible on Ajax :) Greatly appreciate the work you've put in, been following your last few videos, had a small thing though; the amount of cuts you do in the video/speech means some words are sometimes cut off and at least for me makes it harder to follow, wouldn't mind less cuts and more pauses!

I always felt like if really needed all you need is a mod that removes the debuff/dot of the element + external component the rest, goes to 10-12k HP and the rest to def shield and MP (if the descendant has a huge benefit from MP)
It’s easier to understand all of these when you have played warframe and understand the formulas of that game , for example energy tanking builds where you take every single damage decreasing method in the game and so far it’s the best tanking method in the game , this knowledge made me think of modules that out right said that it decreases the damage rather than increases the defense as good modules to have on
My group cleared the complete hardmode with around 15 k defense and 6 k resistance....thanks for the vid anyways, because i always wondered what the breakpoints are for defense. thumbs up ! Sadly min-maxing isn't needed for the actual content ingame.
what might help figuring out the formula in game, is going to dungeons and starting them, leaving one enemy of the first group alive and letting him hit you once (of course, making sure same attack, etc.) and then cancelling the dungeon, that allows you to hold F2 to open a menu where you can see your Damage taken.
I wish they'd show the DR values in-game. It's so immeasurably dumb to have a generic numeral DEF and not tell the player what the actual value or scaling is. Thank you a lot for the video 👍🏻

This game needs a major UI overhaul. Visually there are so many confusing things / stolen icons / stolen formats that, when crammed together, look visually appealing but lack informational relevance.
@@seangallagher4519 yeah some of the mods are confusing af like action reaction or whaterver its called, it give you plus firearm atk minus recoil, in my mind when i see minus recoil that is lowering the amount of recoil but its the opposite, which makes sense or that would be an even more insane mod if that were the case
this is why we need to math this game out. everyone is saying to just max blue for raw % and purples are not as good due to negative/addittional stuff for lower %

@@ryechew Definitely stack HP. Shields seem almost worthless in this game. Increased HP and HP Amplification mods are well worth over shield mods imo.

Sensory Dep (HP/MP) is another flat 10.5% reduced damage taken when fully levelled. It comes up as a negative in stats but it is helping you.
Yep, it was head-scratching that it would show as red, and not green.
This game needs a major UI overhaul. Visually there are so many confusing things / stolen icons / stolen formats that, when crammed together, look visually appealing but lack informational relevance.
@@seangallagher4519 yeah some of the mods are confusing af like action reaction or whaterver its called, it give you plus firearm atk minus recoil, in my mind when i see minus recoil that is lowering the amount of recoil but its the opposite, which makes sense or that would be an even more insane mod if that were the case
this is why we need to math this game out. everyone is saying to just max blue for raw % and purples are not as good due to negative/addittional stuff for lower %

Got Blair recently and man he is not great. Hahaha working on Kyle and ultimate Ajax now and only been able to farm stabilizer for Kyle so far. The grind is real!
