I'm glad you found the joy of long-range shooting! I like how you approach archery spiritually, and thumb-finger shooting is respect! In Hungary, where I live, there is a long-range shooting competition in the historical archery category every year, it is around 40-70-90-110-140m, but we are also at the forefront of long-range shooting, although that is a different school! Keep it up, a Hun
A story that profoundly resonates with me as someone whose life also led to the path of archery. Thank you for all your works this year, for being a fellow traveller in the 'journey with arrows', and I will look forward to more picturesque videos in 2025🔥
Wow what a journey Dave, thank you for sharing with us, last year I was hospitalised with sepsis (close to not making it out) it’s taken me nigh on 12 months to get as close to my full draw as I probably will and that’s only 40 lb draw weight, but pleased I made it as I thought it wouldn’t happen. All respect for your perseverance and making great content, hopefully meet you at Wyre Hall one day 🏹
@@mickusable i am glad your here mate!!! And am glad your doing what you love. I will have a few sundays free in January. Lets look at getting a day set ar Wyre Hall🙏. Thank you also for your kind words! Happy New Year!
We thank you Dave, for all your work and inspiration! Very interesting and moving story and nice video... Happy new year friend! Wish all the best to you!
@journeywitharrows2742 Also your injury and the rehabilitation process reminded me of my own: in 2019 I underwent a shoulder surgery (torn or semi-torn tendons). I had always been very physically active and I remember how eagerly I was waiting for my physiotherpists' successive "green lights", that I could do certain things again. I think you can feel how disciplined I had to be, in order not to pick up a bow ahead of time... I restarted with a 25 pounder (Flagella Dei, Scythian). That reintroduced me to archery. A long journey... I still do my physio exercises!
@Sarantis-ox4ds i can totally relate to this!!!! You got this! Keep up the great work and the strong mind set. Onwards and upwards! And most of all have fun 😁🙏 .
I moved home to Hungary from Scotland because COVID lockdown bankrupted my first aid trainer small business. Here I can shoot any distance I want. And now I have true freedom. I hope we meet in next year on Kurultaj! And my offer is still standing. In worst case scenario If you can not fly your bow and arrows to Hungary than you going to use my gear. ;)
