I was just looking at a 2004 Fatboy today ... will also be the first time on a bike in 20 and a bit years. How have you found her in the tighter turns and is the engine "quick enough" to pass on the highway and get ahead of traffic?

For me it's absolutely perfect. I love it so much. I didn't want a "fast" sports bike. Because I would frankly die. The Fatboy means I can have fun in the turns at a lower speed. There are lots of twisty roads in the UK and I have been fine leaning it and generally having fun. In fact I am riding it to Wales in a week!!!!
The UK speed limit is 70mph and it easy does that. Buzzing to 80 is also fine. I don't go much above this as the wind is quite intense and my helmet is a bit noisy. If I was to do lots of motorway I would fit a fairing or buy a road glide, but most my riding is on the UK's A and B roads for which, for me the Fatboy is perfect.
It's not a tourer, but it does that when asked, I use an air pad on the saddle as it's a bit uncomfortable. If you are in the USA get a sundowner.
Let.me know how you get on!!!!
