Not only is this jib fully collapsible for easy transport, but you can also mount the Kessler Pocket Dolly™ or CineSlider™ to it, turning it into a virtual "all-in-one" production tool, offering both a jib and mini-dolly in one unit. www.kesslercran...

    It looks like a very nice unit, but calling it "pocket" (even when comparing it to full-size studio stuff), is still kinda like calling a Barret .50cal a "handgun".

    Kessler, are you serious? Pocket jib? All the trouble and weight of the jib and accessories to capture footage of these? Too many screwing around. If you lose a screw in the woods.... you are screwed. All of the hard work and you mounted a DSLR on it. Bravo!! It's like slaughtering a chicken with a viking butcher knife.

    • @futurerev21

      It's called the pocket jib because of how collapsible it is.. it can be folded and collapsed to be able to fit into a small bag like the one he was carrying, and then only takes like 5 minutes to setup.
      Obviously it doesn't literally fit in your pocket... it's a freaking jib.

    totally understand the comments regarding "pocket" jib, term is used loosely, if anyone has worked in film production as I have, one would understand that this is actually "tiny" compared to big production jibs we haul on location shoots requiring big moving equipment to bring in.

    It must have been made by giants. Because that's not pocket sized, it's man sized! A man pocket! A mocket? >_> Although I'm betting it's thousands and thousands of dollars, even though I could make one in my garage for twenty bucks. This is why film equipment manufacturers are dying like flies, they're still living in an era where big studios buy overpriced gear.

    Please need a reply !!! Even if a DSLR is autofocus, it can't do autofocus on what you want to focused it on while you are on other end of the jib. So, how does the focusing work on a camera on jib? Another thing, this is one heck of a "pocket jib."

    Super Nice. Yeah Awesome! Jesus Dude. how much is the cost of all the parts and pieces. And you should design it with the motor mounted to the tripod with a removable tensioner so that the motor and the belt can stay on. Just loosen the tensioner and its now free flow tighten the tensioner and its motorized. It just seems like a lot of little parts to loose. But Awesome unit..

    This Jib is perfect. And if i compare it with others, "Pocket" is the right name. For me this is a pro tool and offers you a bunch of possibilities to work professional. You get also access to all the other stuff you might need for a pro production ( like the Dolly System or the CineSlider etc. ) Equiped with the Pocket Jib you do not need a Steadycam in the most cases. Cause you can operate it alone and get really smooth shots and a larger range of course. This might be expensive for a hobby filmer who use this twice a year. But if you work it with all day long and it is your business, it is every cent worth in my opinion. Kessler rocks :)

    When we originally launched this product, it was a much more transport friendly solution, compared to our larger original Kessler Crane system that had several sections and loose parts. The Pocket Jib was an all in one, telescopic portable solution.
    We have since release out Pocket Jib Traveler version that folds up very small and can literally fit into a backpack or suitcase.
    Search TH-cam for "Pocket Jib Traveler". Thanks!

  • @ChrisBeller
    @ChrisBeller 11 ปีที่แล้ว

    The Pocket Jib has a 100mm bowl, so you can using an fluid head with a 100mm ball. If your fluid head has a 75mm ball, you would need the 100mm-75mm bowl adapter ring to reduce the bowl to 75mm. If you have a fluid head that is a flat mount (like a Manfrotto 501), you can use our 100mm Ball Kit, that screws onto the bottom of the flat mount head and then allows you to mount to a 100mm or 75mm bowl.
    Hope that helps! -CB
