The best part of this story is that it’s based on true events. It is not a myth. Aspects of the story might have accrued some exaggeration, but there was a man who united the tribes of the Iroquois Confederacy under a phenomenally stable constitution. A young Ben Franklin read about this event and the founding fathers implemented most of these statutes into the US constitution. It is a matter of historical record.
The Ben Franklin thing is well documented, the evidence of the borrowing not so much. The US was using British colonial government rules and kept almost all of them in place throughout the Revolution and up to the Articles of Confederation until they scrapped it all and did the Constitution, but the US system is still founded mostly on the British precedent, with sprinkles from other places.
@@TheRadioAteMyTV It is a common assertion that Founding Fathers simply created the constitution out of thin air, or were influenced by European governments. To quote a historical article by Molly Larkin on the subject: "For decades, the Iroquois had urged the English colonists to unite together as one independent and free people. No, the Peacemaker was born Huron. Hiawatha was a great Orator whose wife and daughters were killed by the evil Tadadaho, who was a cannibal. (Mohawk) Hiawatha joined with the Peacemaker, whose name we do not generally speak, because he is so Holy. Among many beautiful things, together they "combed the snakes" from the hair of the evil Tadadaho, straightened him up, and through the power of peace, power and righteousness, convinced him to be a Man of Peace .Ever since, the traditional spiritual leader of the Six Nations and his title is "Tadadaho", and comes from the Onondaga Nation near Syracuse, NY. Our current Tadadaho is Sydney Hill.

i am an native person, i keep on waiting ... AND WAITING>>> for this native person to lead us..... or some fucker at this point
i just don't want hime to be transformed by the snake as it falls.... the huron, ojibwe, the algonquins, and the Onieda and Onandaga and the Mohawk and Cayuga, language being different regardless yet the spirt still the same. i wil place a wing feather for all truths thathat shall pass
bring your weapons of war, bury them here. find peace, by comma and not a period. meaning to keep peace, the great law of peace, requires us to preserve such law
i had never perceived a snake in the first place. Christ guided my way
I saw the snake's fall from my mind as they were saying tadadaho
Did this video state who is speaking?
Is Hiawatha the Peacemaker?
@@cathymoseschadwick6634 reminds of the biblical account of Jesus delivering the man of a legion of demons and casting them into a herd of swine on the island of Crete.

Seven Laws so simple.
Blessed are the peacemakers for they will be called sons of god [In the image of god's first born son Jesus Christ].
The six nations formed a true government. After who knows how many years of conflict. When they gathered every four years , to abolish laws that didn't work , and implement new laws. They would begin with a prayer. We the people in order to form a more perfect union , to establish peace , justice , and a more tranquil way of life. end
Do you see how this prayer applies to the years of conflict ?? And to avoid future conflict , is what the prayer is saying.
I thought that was Harrison Ford, fr

Let’s pray money no longer make the calibre of a man or a woman it should be a crime in this modern day slavery the way the system is designed if you start picking your head up above the water you’re gonna have to start paying extra on taxes as if you have a huge bank account. Well you gotta start spending a little bit more for tax right off keeping the rich rich and the poor poor. I’ve ordered for change and well we always end up changing our pocket or not picking up change off the ground.
