Frazier has excellent field IQ as you can see he has good core strength and is never overwhelmed by the strength of his opponent almost making it look effortless you can tell bro knows what he is doing great draft pick khan artist 💛🖤
He is tough . The kid broke his leg and was more concerned with getting off the field and saving his team a timeout than the injury. Born to be a Steeler.
it was literally his first nfl action.he should be the day one starter, veteran dosen't mean better wait until next year when he gets more of his nfl body
Great breakdown as always Alex. First watch I was focusing on him and Fuatanu and I was highly impressed with Frazier and surprisingly not as much with Fuatanu. Frazier looked really good on almost every rep, and no issues with the snaps like when herbig was in there. I guess that might be the difference between a true center and a guard turned center. 🤷🏻♂️. I know it's early, but Frazier really impressed me with what I saw.
He does look good for first NFL game! He will get better and better! Snap’s looked good. And first snap after a bad block he fixed it right away. Definitely the best looking center since Pouncy. Thanks Alex! As always great work!
To be fair, on the one bull rush it looks like the d-lineman has a hand up under his chin rather than his pads. I’m confident Frazier will be just fine. He has a reputation as a very hard worker
@@Mayhem2010 Thanks. That's what I thought. Why were they playing musical chairs with such an important position is beyond me. But little details like this make me over-think things.
I think it’s obvious he’s a better RT than a LT. He’s got a ton of power and good straight line speed for a big guy but he doesn’t have the quick feet that a great blind side blocker needs and his technique with his hands looks weak to me but I’m no expert. Obviously he’s gonna want to play LT because there’s way more money as the blind side blocker but I’m hoping he stays right and fautanu can take over at left.
@@wv4776 yeah his lower body looks out of sync. Footwork isn’t looking great. Hopefully he can improve. I wanted him to go to a offensive line camp held by duke manyweather or lecharles bentley.
I'm hoping it's a lack of reps on the side. They drafted him as a left switched him to right now want him to play the left side. As long as they let him stay in one spot he will be fine.
Yo Alex! Great work as always, just wanna apologize because I sometimes forget to like your videos but will not forget moving forward. Frazier looks good but I'm a little concerned if he can hold his own when a DT is right on top of him, he's the key to our run game this year imo, which is why I was nervous as hell sweating in round 2 of the draft, we got our guy!
Kendrick Green was not a Center. He was a Guard. Tomlin played him out of his natural position and ruined him. And he did a pretty good job kicking the Steelers' ass last year. Perpetual 9-8 mediocrity.
Alex. Curious about your thoughts on Broderick. I feel he’s having issues with pass pro. Seems to try to rely on his athleticism and still sloppy with technique. Thanks
Frazier on the bull rush better tell his QB "chuck it already " didn’t take stopwatch to see how long it took, a sundial would work. That said nice analysis as always.
Great breakdown Alex!! I thought all three interior guys looked pretty good Mason Zach and spencer worked well together .think Anderson May get cut unfortunately .probably only keeping 9 linemen I hope not
The one play that you called a “bad” rep was actually McCormick pushing the DT into the run. That was a bad play design. McCormick should be pulling to kick out the RLB (Left on the screen).
Hey alex, im worried about broderick. Some of those clips are concerning. He’s leaning and his lower body isn’t in sync with his upper body. His balance is thrown off as well. I know pat meyer is the coach, but it seems like the interior offensive lineman are making strides while our tackles are lagging behind.
I was mostly relieved at the methods that Arthur smith uses to zone run. Much Breyer than our old zone nonsense. I hope we don’t get away from power completely. Canada was stubborn and we couldn’t run the ball the first half of the season. Is he the worst OC in team history?
He played the first play so much I started watching Harris. He has such bad visions here. He has blockers to his right nut instead chose to run at defenders
I saw very few OL traps & and very little OL pulling on Friday. And the few gap/trap/pull run plays Pgh DID run vs. Houston were BY FAR the best run play results of the day, imo. AFC North defenses are going to suffocate Smith's "power zone" run blocking concept. AFC North defenses are too fast & too good for such predictable/simple/straight-up zone run blocking schemes... mark my words. Pgh's running attack became dangerous+productive last season (for the first time in YEARS) when Jones entered the lineup & his athleticism enabled OL gap blocking - traps & pulls. I really, really like Smith's screens, play-action, receiver routes & play-calling... but I absolutely HATE his default zone run-blocking concept. That stuff might work in the AFC South, but straight-up zone run-blocking will get BURIED vs. Baltimore, Cleveland & Cincy.
@@Alex_Kozora half?!? there were two pulls & zero traps in the entire first half. anderson made a meal of one, and frazier looked great on the other. OTOH, the zone blocking often had an OL 10yds. into the secondary blocking air while the RB was swarmed 15-20 yds. away. on the other side of the field.
Frazier should be the day 1 starter
Agreed. And we need a quality backup center now. Herbig was constantly pushed backward. He’s not a center.
Frazier has excellent field IQ as you can see he has good core strength and is never overwhelmed by the strength of his opponent almost making it look effortless you can tell bro knows what he is doing great draft pick khan artist 💛🖤

Great first game for Zach, love this videos Alex, thank you !

all i wanted was a center and we got one I am good
Spencer Anderson looked above the line too
Liking our depth
He has. Real good camp for Anderson.
I knew Frazier would be good but dang McCormick looked comfortable out there for a 4th rounder
Mccormick will do a fine job of replacing one of the veteran guards in a year or two. Dude is solid he just needs a year or two to develop more.
More comfortable than I thought he would.
So which of these was fumbling all the snaps?
@@ChewsCarefully herbig both times
@@Mayhem2010 Thanks. That's what I thought. Why were they playing musical chairs with such an important position is beyond me. But little details like this make me over-think things.
It's so refreshing to not have to watch Mason Cole run block on film. Nice breakdown, Alex. When these videos drop, it's a sign the season is close!!
Appreciate the coverage!!!
✌❤🤘
I’m super suped that we finally, FINALLY! drafted a (c) who’s a stud a ppl mover only gonna grow & get better 🖤💛🖤💛🖤💛🏈
Great job at camp Alex! I really look forward to your reports every year. You're the best out there.
Thank you!!
Nice breakdown Alex! Appreciate the tape and analysis.
I’ve been waiting for this. Thanks!
We finally got ourselves one! 💪🏼 stills needs a little work on his feet & hand placement out in space but he’s a bully inside 🖤💛
Once he cleans up his Footwork & hand placement in space + get better with dropping the anchor in pass pro he’s gonna be a real bully inside
Little worried with the pass protection of Broderick jones
He’ll get there. Remember, he’s been flip flopping sides for the past year bc of our coaching.

No worries - thanks for watching
thanks for the great film breakdown. Subscribed
Appreciate it!
Great analysis, Alex!
100x better than Kendrick Green
No doubt.
Nah, 1000x lol
Low bar
For sure! Kendrick Green put down some of the worst tape I’ve seen from a starting NFL lineman
Kendrick Green was not a Center. He was a Guard. Tomlin played him out of his natural position and ruined him. And he did a pretty good job kicking the Steelers' ass last year. Perpetual 9-8 mediocrity.
McCormick is looking good too
Love the content man keep it up
Great breakdown, I thought mccormick did well also
Me too, though I gotta go back and re-watch.
Pat Meyer must be veeery excited about Frazier!
Good video analysis.
Alex. Curious about your thoughts on Broderick. I feel he’s having issues with pass pro. Seems to try to rely on his athleticism and still sloppy with technique. Thanks
Tough game. Steelers keep screwing with him b/w LT and RT. He also might have an elbow injury. Has a big brace on.
Frazier on the bull rush better tell his QB "chuck it already " didn’t take stopwatch to see how long it took, a sundial would work. That said nice analysis as always.
We’re with you ZF🦾
Love his grind credibility and he had the “it” factor
Great breakdown Alex!! I thought all three interior guys looked pretty good Mason Zach and spencer worked well together .think Anderson May get cut unfortunately .probably only keeping 9 linemen I hope not
Maybe. They could keep 10.
This line will be the best in football within the next couple years
Mason mccormick was good too as well.

Frazier definitely looks good as a young center. Broderick Jones isn't looking like he took a big step in his 2nd year. IDK
This is their day 1 starter at Center.

Alex I just KNEW you were going to say something like more pancakes than IHOP 😂🤣
Ay the 3rd string qb look great tho
Couldn’t take my eyes off Broderick Jones in this tape. He’s getting beat every which way, even when he’s blocking on the weak side of the play.
i see a lot of broderick struggles. I think his elbow brace isnt holding up against power / bull rush
At 6:01, this may be where Fautanu gets hurt.

Can not freaking BELIEVE the Bears passed on this guy. Bears gonna bear. Enjoy.
Guys he hasn't played against top level defenders such as Aaron donald, Johnathan Allen etc. He's going against lesser skilled people
he looks way better than jackson powers lets gooo . hes our creed humphrey
Padding these out a bit, Alex.
I see you guys studying film.
it's the Steelers
He played the first play so much I started watching Harris. He has such bad visions here. He has blockers to his right nut instead chose to run at defenders
Edwards looks a lot like Warren
But can he play fullback?
Frazier getting away with holding on that 2nd running play

There were a ton of them. Some just not successful b/c the guards got caught up in the wash. But probably half of Smith's runs were man/gap.
