Good tip !! haha that's exactly what my family does. Here in Canada where we live.. the winters are super long. It gets dark around 4pm and we go down there often almost every night :)

@raghibphotography I love the audio quality on LaserDisc, and not all DVD's look better than LaserDisc to make it like a retro cinema. Blu ray is better than DVD and LaserDisc and Betamax are better than VHS

I wish we had basements in texas. I would 100% do something like this. For a multitude of reasons theyre just not practical to build here due to the terrain so most builders dont include them. Im forced to just put a projector in the living room and use blackout curtains to try and mitigate the light. Open floorplan makes it hard to key the sound in too so its not bad but not ideal either.
I had no idea that Texas was like that... that's wild! What if someone really wanted one? It can be done or is it just costly? and to be quiet honest after doing this setup.. I realize it can be done anywhere.. You don't need a basement at all... You just need proper acoustic panels, a lot of drywall, insulation and soundproofing material... if you do that right you can achieve this in a garage even! That's another idea for you... Build a shed/garage attach the theater to the house :)

@raghibphotography absolutely! My gal and I turned our lower floor of the house, most of it, into an arcade with about 14 games, carpets, neon, video screens, the whole deal and it was so fun. Eventually we sold them off at the house and had to change life but what a blast! Enjoy and wish I could see a movie at your theater!

@usmankhalid990 oh gosh no. There's absolutely zero reflection of picture. I am glad I went with that design and color. It's pitch black dark in there when the lights are off. I would not go any darker or even lighter. It's great :)
If you are watching a very very bright white screen for a quick second..then the front of the room carpet lights up a little but that's it. Hardly noticeable

What kind insulation did you some under the leather/vinyl wrap for your theater door? I am assuming mineral/rock wool?
Hello bhai. I used safe n sound insulation for the walls, double drywalled and used the green sonopan that is mad e in Canada. For the door; I used normal foam that they use in mattresses and then used a vinyl wrap! No other insulation was used on door
@@raghibphotography Thanks Bhai. Your Home Theater is Terrific Masha Allah! I have custom made acoustic panels myself using rock wool slabs 3 inches thick with 2 X 4 (Feet) in dimensions. No dry walls for me as I have concrete walls. I may look into door tufting something that I am interested in. How about if I use rockwool instead of a mattress or mattress should do the job? Do you have any problems with the LFE deep bass coming out of our theater and annoying other family members?
