Indian men are very supportive to their wife. They respect their wives views. They also build wealth together base on team work. Some African men want women to take their responsibilities, be the leaders, "because a woman makes a home," that's what they have been taught, whilst they build elsewhere, but pretend everything is fine . Too much poverty in black community, because we don't learn and keep on blaming the system instead of working on our behaviour. Every woman wants to be cared for and so are men. Asia communities let their partners struggle less, unless there is no man in the house due to separation.
We as parents need to start teaching both our boys and girls on the same level of responsibilities, to be responsible adult/partners.

It's very unfortunate, though. I am a woman, and I come from a very poor family. When I got married, I made it clear to my husband that I would like to build a house in the future. This is even before we got married. I kept reminding him right from the beginning of our marriage. I, therefore, worked harder towards it. My husband wasn't that serious about the whole concept until I took a step of building when we traveled abroad. This brought serious problems in our marriage. We have a piece of land in Ghana that he was planning to give to his sister, so I seriously and aggressively claimed that piece of land to myself. What do you think?

@clementgoodliving6399 😃😃 Oh, it's very true. I didn't ask his concern before I started building. He said that was his problem. Meanwhile, we have been discussing it forever. I told him when the building was almost done. Now I have about 18 bedrooms apartments and am still building. I have been in Canada for 26 years, and I deserve to have what I want. All that I am trying to say is that don't be quick to blame women when we are hiding something from the husbands because you don't know the full story. My story is very, very true, Clement.

Krakye, you are making too many generalizations. There are 50 states in America & I am sure there are Ghanaians in many of the states. Your statements are not backed by statistics, facts or research. U make too many assumptions. I have lived in America for more than 50 years. Lived & worked in the Northeast & the South. I am a retiree in Texas. I am happily married to the same woman for more than 40 plus years. I must admit my wife is not Ghanaian but I have friends with Ghanaian wives. I beg to differ but each person’s experience clouds his/her opinion. ❤✌🏿
