    the ext you used in one-X is it from an active desk phone? what'll happen to the desk phone when agent login to one-X?

      You can configure One-X Agent to use same desk phone extension and voice will be delivered to desk phone.

    I have the box under Agent preferences to play ringing through the internal PC speakers. Still rings through head set. My PC does have speakers that work.

      With an earlier Avaya One-X Agent version this issue may appear, recommending to upgrade to latest release 2.5.14.

    Great video! How can I get the call notifying me with a ring tone on my laptop speaker rather than the headset so I don't have to wear my headset all the time. Hope I'm making sense

      You can take benefit of `Play ringing through the internal PC speakers` option in One-X Agent Audio Preferences.

    How do I change the default ringtone in OneX agent to an own one? I found the path is stored under RingTones.xml fine. thanks

    So when I go to craft my phone it just restarts. The menu never comes up, I think the 46xxxsettingstxt is corrupted. Is there a way to master reset the phone that you know of?

    urgent help please. im using avaya one x agent but under the audio preferences the "headset earphone is not showing" and only thing showing is the computer speaker.
    and im actually using the platronics DA80.

    Why do we get an error message: Operation Failed everytime we go on Ready or After Call Work? I hope you can help. I've checked too many articles in Google but I didn't find anything that can help. We're connected to VPN and even tried different VPN and Avaya servers but still the same error. Restarted PC too and did uninstall/reinstall for Avaya.

      Avaya One-X Agent does not have built-in audio recording capability. If you want to record calls you may need to install a call recording application/server in your Call Center environment

    I am receiving calls on my phone so my headset is connected to the phone can I receive call directly on the soft phone so I can connect my headset to the laptop ???

      You can place and receive calls on your computer. Your One-X Agent should be configured as call receivng destination is set to `My Computer` on Avaya One-X Agent Login page, Telephony tab.     I have one user once he connects to f5vpn & starts Avaya agent, vpn disconnects automatically. What would be the reason.

    Hello, I am working from home now on my wifi and laptop. They installed Avaya softphone, but when I try to log in, it shows Registered instead of Ready/Aux, and when I select my extension, it won't let me connect. They installed VPN of the company as well. Is it because I am on my wifi instead of LAN cable? Many thanks in advance for the answer.

      For Avaya Softphone a network connection is needed to access to the Communication Manager. If it was properly configured and working in your office but not working from your home, likely the issue is with VPN or home network configuration. Please contact your company IT department and make sure that VPN connection works fine. They also can assist howto check your home network configuration if there is any filtering blocking the traffic to corporate network.

      If you are on Windows, check your firewall, and then click the 'allow an app or feature through...' Click 'Change Settings' and check the boxes for "Spark Endpoint Emulator"

      Either you firewall settings are blocking the network connection or there can be a problem with your corporate VPN settings, please engage your local administrator or network team to check

      Likely there is a change in your working environment. Probably you are no longer authorized to use mobile outcall or codes have been changed etc. As a first step recommend you to contact your local administrator to check the settings.

      Agent ID is administered and provided by your company administrator in case you are performing Call Center agent work, it is part of your telephony profile if applicable.

    Hi!..whenever I tried to login I get Login error due to unknown reasons. Please refer to troubleshooting guide. I already check the system settings, all were set up correctly..I dont know what to do. Is it ok if I unistall the avaya one x agent and reinstall it?

      There are multiple reasons for this error to be presented, like incorrect extension "type" administered, incorrect user type, missing license etc. Please contact your local administrator to verify the configuration.       Try a 'list trace station' and see if you get a denial event. Then you can google search the event code and see what it is. Sometimes it's the 'Remote softphone emergency calls:' on page 2 of your station in Site Administration.

    Its weird we have a recepionist who has "auto-in" for a queue on her hardware phone, but in One-X, it doesn't, so she can't take calls from a queue.

      During configuration of the One-X Agent you need to set Favorite buttons if you need additional buttons within the application

      For security reasons it is stored in the Communication Manager and encrypted.

      So i, as an agent cannot access these configurations ? im a total newbie in avaya just using it to receive calls haha

      The password is encrypted. Your IT administrator, who provided login credentials, can assist you getting the password if you need.

      The configuration depends on your telephony system configuration. You need to validate if there is any dialing rule or calling restriction in place, please contact your local administrator to validate the settings as a first step.
