Thanks. Why don't you consider joining? Rumor has it that your planning a garden next year 😁and these seeds would be mailed right to ya. That would be neat.
I'm sure your survival garden will do well for you. I've decided to mix veggies in with my cut flower garden as the soil is so much better in those beds. There's zucchini , beans both climbing and bush varieties, cucumbers, lettuce, carrots, tomatoes, potatoes that need harvesting, onions and corn. It'll be a pretty garden if it all grows well, then there's a few fruit trees out front as well. The ones that I recently moved are adjusting but I think they'll be ok and the ones growing out back have finally taken off this year.💐🐝🥔🥕🌽🥒🧅🍅🍊🍋🍑🍒🍏🍐🫐🐞💐 Have a lovely day💚❄☃❄⛄

If you love kidney beans, you'll love growing them. They do take a while to dry. They are an easy bean with little fuss about them. I love growing them and will be putting some out this year as well. Been 2 years since I've grown them because my harvest was huge then, and they've lasted me this long. I also will be doing the Detroit red beet, which are most popular here in my area. I can start many this month month inside and set things out in Feb if I can keep on my schedule properly. IDK though, it is a busy month for me.

@AlmostaGreenAcre-zs5eu that's interesting, Krista, thanks for the information. I will give it some thought. We have a big gardening project to crack on with early next year, a total revamp, so we need to consider the logistics of taking anything else on though it is very tempting and an inspirationsl share. 💖

Thanks Mandy 🙂Tomatoes and cucumber are a great start. I'm not sure about your zone but it's possible to get them in the ground late winter so they have time for what's called, vernalization. In other words they need to be chilled and that depends on the type you want to plant. That's why here in my region we plant, late fall. Have a fantastic day 💕
@@AlmostOffGridGrandmacre-zs5eu It was from the government. They sent them by post to encourage people to appreciate nature and greenery more. I heard you mention corn. @@PacDarRelaxation Was good that the government would take on an initiative like that. Yes, I did mention corn as my 7th seed that I could choose. Glad you were successful 🙂
I am not sure what variety of corn they are offering, the convensional corn is really easy. There is this heritage variety called painted mountain its almost red, its also nicknamed indian corn as the natives used to grow it. Its non gmo and almost extint its really fast maturing i forget the amount of days but you can keep seeds from it as it tastles a month before normal corn so it never cross polenates and gets contaminated. Normal corn you cant keep seed from as the pollen litteraly travels miles so it always cross polenates with other varieties and does not come true the second year unless u grow in in a climate climate controled facility with filters to remove outside pollen.
