For what it seems you are making and crafting everything yourself that Personally, I would love to create a calendar of retro TV channel which I’ve already been working on that the amount of time spent on it so it looks exactly like I want is endless. But for yourself, please CARRY ON we will be there waiting for you!
Luckily we have all your wonderful content to rewatch over and over and over in the meantime. Take your time friend. Thank you for being so open with us.
Hey Andrew, don’t worry about it! We’ll support you wherever you decide to take your channel. I made like 2 - 3 videos and got burnt out, so I completely understand it at your level of production. I adore longform stuff like Scarves, but also enjoy your shortform commercial type videos. However you decide to take the channel I’ll be here, because I love the stuff you put out. (And because I’ve developed a /totally benign/ parasocial relationship with your content)
Thank you so much! That is so kind. In a perfect world, I would love to do what I did last year with shorter videos, but mix in longer videos like the HR video and Scarves, as well.
When it all comes crashing down, I try to remind myself why I started doing this to begin with. In my case, it's archival preservation and my little niech dedication to old televised content. Now, none of what I do is creative in nature but passion for doing things right is so very important and if for any reason I can't find the fire to put behind what I'm doing, I have to step away. When I started this, it was to share what I love with others and give it back to the world. That's still at the core here. I love what you do. Your content and what you do has been the subject of real world conversation in my life. You have a talent for what you do. You capture the essence of the era's you target. Take whatever time you need. Maybe switch gears and just hang with people in your community tab for a bit, it'll help you maintain connection while recharging your creative batteries. If I can help, let me know.
As always, thank you again for your support and advice in this endeavor of mine. I think you make a great point (per usual). I think I just need to set some goals for myself to help get back on track.
I'm not going anywhere. It's always a treat to see that you have posted something new. I always think back to that live you did with the typewriter. That was so hilarious to me because it was fresh, something I hadn't seen anyone do before. I don't know what's best for you in terms of content preparation and production, but I know that it's interesting to see a creator talk about their views, their subscribers and their plans for their platform because again that is not something I have really seen much of out there. I think it's very humanizing to see you do that, and calls for me to see you more as an individual that I'm getting to know rather than solely a source of consumable entertainment. The updates from you like this one seem to add some type of value that would not typically be present with other content and I honestly think I stick around just as much for these as I do the actual content you make because it's rare to feel like the person I'm watching on the screen is tangible and present in the real world. Just my two cents. Be well! ❤
Such a kind and thoughtful message. Thank you so much for taking the time to leave such a nice note for me. So glad you are here on this journey with me and the rest of us!
I would love to see a video of all the retro stuff you have collected over the years. I saw all your phones on tiktok live and they were awesome! Would love to see more! And thanks for calling me on live!
Do what you enjoy doing. If you prefer shorter videos, make those. If you don’t want to post all the time, don’t. I think we’re past the era where you have to put something up every week. Quality over quantity, always.
I completely understand. I have a channel and haven't posted in a long time. I tried videos every week and it just exhausted me. Some people don't understand how draining it is to be creative. So much goes into videos. Not sure if this counts but I would enjoy more lengthy videos. You wouldn't have to put them out every week. Just a suggestion. I'm a loyal subscriber and will support you through this time!
Thank you so much! I would love to make longer videos too! Originally I wanted to not post once a week so I could focus on making longer videos; however, not posting once a week doesn't keep me on track to make videos regularly. I think that's also been hard is that I don't have set dates to post videos. Maybe I just need to open a calendar and start writing down days that I would like to put a video out so I can stay on track.
can I be honest? You shouldn't worry about your views you shouldn't worry about all of that stuff because it's the content that will speak for itself with your true fans, such as myself and a lot of times we worry too much about the logistics of things and we forget about the overall package and I think that everything you've been turning out in the last year has been absolutely amazing I mean it's the reason why I subscribe to this channel and you have a personal life you have to live so of course you know he's not going to be able to create those videos as you would like but every time you have done so in the past it's always been a hit for me at least so just hang in there Andrew you're doing a wonderful job👏👏 what's wrong
It's all good. You can always do some "easy work" if you want to. I just graduated with a film and scriptwriting degree and creative energy is super draining
Hang in there. You are worthy. And your are always funny.😊

We all need a break at times. You take care of you and come back refreshed!
Thank you so much! Working on a new video right now!
I think it's normal to have burn out and also just not finding your groove right away. We're here 😊 we're staying.
Thank you so much!! 🙏

I agree, I just find it difficult to stay on track when I’m not posting once a week.

It can be SUPER draining. Especially doing things so often and so close together.
It's hard not to think about the audience. However, i think you might be feeling pressure where previously you felt excitement.
I think that is a very simple, yet very wise point.
