I was thinking how this could have been an Avengers movie: just add three guys and have a good story like Secret Invasion. Although from watching this channel, apparently the TV show was bad.
Marvel doesn’t feel like Marvel after End Game. The word of mouth wasn't good enough to invite non fans to pay and see this movie. But this film is profitable because its production budget is only $20 million.
Blumhouse has a Dead By Daylight movie in the works. I hope that can recreate the success of fnaf, considering how many IP crossovers the game has. if they can somehow sneak some cameos from these iconic characters in there (blumhouse can get michael myers in there?) it'd be big.
I didn't fall asleep in DUNE because the sound system was so cranked up in the theater that I was being shaken from the reverberations. And they need Zendaya to help promote D2 to her 180 million Instagram fans.
"Bodies" is so good, I finished in two days. Although it's marked as a Limited Series, there was a slight cliffhanger in the end. I'm hoping for a second season. By the way, does the Nielsen's chart only take into account North America viewership? I ask because I've got a feeling that Amazon Prime shows do a lot better in South America. Wheel of Time always trended on Brazil Twitter after each new episode.
Nielsen only takes NA into account. As for WoT outside the US, I can believe it, but its hard to prove since Amazon still doesn't release any of their data unless to gloat. If performs like any international show on Netflix, its bound to be much bigger outside the US. Netflix's Lupin for example does much better in Europe (France in particular) that makes up for the OK numbers in the US.
I would love to have a Hollywood marketing job where I just throw out immersive viral marketing ideas and merch collabs for random films. I feel like it would always be fun. I feel like Netflix did good with the Stranger Things pizza and ice cream at Wal-Mart and that sort of stuff.
A few years ago Halloween was on a Thursday, however, my friends and I decided to celebrate on the town the following day, since we all worked. It was really scary because we were the only group dressed up. Felt like we were in the twilight zone.
Alex Vincent surely has to be a cameo in FNAF2. His association with demonic dolls is too much fun to not bring him on. He’s not famous enough to be the big name to draw audiences, but will be a fun Easter egg for horror fans.

Bodies was fun. It's very similar to Dark, but it's nowhere near the same complexity or bewildering brilliance of that German masterpiece. The Fall of the House of Usher was crazy good and fun. I'm rewatching it. Best TV series on Netflix since 1899.
Usher is one of my favorite stort viewing experiences of the year, movies included. I rank it up there with Flanagans Hill House. Grace is talking about his contract with Netflix but wasnt it already stated that he is moving to Amazon?
i like the star power in FNAF with josh and matthew lillard and agree that for the sequel someone for their past would be fun. maybe jlaw after her comeback... maybe someone from scooby-doo...
I doubt Halloween falling on a Friday will help. From my experience, the anticipation of Halloween is bigger than Halloween night itself. Halloween night is usually spent taking younger relatives teck or treating or going to a party. The Halloween vives are completely gone by November 1st, so very few people will probably go see anything on Saturday and Sunday. The weekend before Halloween is the sweet spot. The best day for Halloween would be a Sunday since it actually gives you the Friday, Saturday, and Sunday during the day for the scary movie theatre experience.
Grey’s Anatomy is a comfort show in my home, random episodes play in the background on Netflix on TV while I watch Beyond the trailer videos on my phone. 😅
It's not superhero fatigue, Grace, it's crap fatigue. When the MCU as a whole is interesting, even I will watch everything, but when the MCU is crap, not even one good show matters, because all the rest is crap, and I don't care about comic book films, I was only curious about the story that was kinda interesting ("Infinity Saga"). Also, let me say: youtubers are a little responsible for MCU evasion, I think. With you guys we get to know before hand what matters and what doesn't, and truth is that most of it doesn't recently. And if something matters it doesn't matter, because if the next one is crap, what's worth? They have to do good stuff continually, and fail eventually. If they fail continually and do good stuff eventually it doesn't work for us. Marvel is becoming DC.
I'm so excited that For All Mankind got a season 4! Thanks Grace for the shoutout! It definitely feels like I'm the only one watching this show, but I'm loving every minute of it, haha.

Question with FNAF. Yes Halloween being over and the quality did definitely play a hand in the drop, is it possible the second weekend could’ve been bigger if the film wasn’t on streaming. While it didn’t stop people from going it could’ve stopped fans from seeing it multiple times?
I am so excited for the Marvels! Going on opening night. I think the movie is going to be great. Really looking forward to the chemistry between the characters!

I LOVED Loki season 1 but I didn’t watch until episode 4 dropped for S2 after watching and waiting for ahsoka every week I was able to feel patient for a few episodes to drop on Loki
Loki is NOT the MCU's hottest show. As much as you loved it, the first season wasn't alot of people's favourite MCU show. I had it close to the bottom. I LOVE the actors and tune in every week but the multiverse story just isn't that good.
I'm not excited for either The Marvels or this new Hunger Games prequel, but I'd still see the latter over the former on IMAX if I just *had* to choose. I'm really excited about The Killer, Dream Scenario and Dumb Money though. I never heard of It's a Wonderful Knife, but the title alone already tempts me.
I heard about What Happens Later on the radio on NPR. My wife is a Meg Ryan fan. She thought Ryan had retired. We went to see it for date night. My wife liked it.
Journey to Bethlehem is coming out on Friday and Fandango is giving out free promo codes, so people can see it for free! I also hope that The Marvels get good reviews from critics and audiences and that it will do well at the box office, especially on opening weekend.
We wanted a Loki show about Loki. The TVA is irrelevant to the mcu timeline. We’ve been waiting for a tie in, but so far they’re just talking about things in rooms and it’s not effecting anything outside those rooms.
Considering no one is watching/talking about Loki & the severe lack of interest in The Marvels, I think Spielberg was right when he said 7 or 8 years ago the superhero film would die the way of the musical or the western (especially if Marvel & DC keep shitting the bed in 2024 & 2025)

There’s a lot of viral posts and clips about Grey’s on Twitter and TikTok. Probably why there’s a boost. It had me thinking about watching, but I saw all those seasons…💀
Yea I’m split on the right time to release it .. Halloween or Christmas .. tough choice but I feel like horror doesn’t do particularly well during Xmas.
Unfortunately, I think The Marvels will bomb regardless of it's quality or how further it moves the MCU stroryline. The same can be said about every Marvel project being released right now. They need a break. Like ... Yesterday!
loki was not the show to go "self contained" in the mcu... the pilar of the MULTIVERSE saga with avengers level threat (supposedly with kang) and repercussions! i was never a fan but that would've definitely drawn me and others
I’m planning to see The marvels on its opening day, and I’m still gonna keep on watching Trolls 3 being addicted this instalment (now that it’s still playing in the UK)!!!
9:10 I see 4 movies coming out on November 17th. (Hunger Games 5, Trolls 3, Thanksgiving and Next Goal Wins). Couldn't 2 of those movies have come out this weekend?
$1.2m debut for an actioner starring John Cena is good and $5.4m debut for an awards play by Sofia Coppola is bad? Kind of feel like I'm taking crazy pills...
I do hope that the Marvels do better than what people are expecting to make I mean, weather blockbuster movies are going to be out that everyone would want to see for the whole month other than the Disney movie Wish that comes out later.
To me I was hoping for the best with The Marvels but it really seems when it comes to big budget films with representation the studios cant help getting in their own way
Trailer doesn't show much in it. Reminds me of Tom Hanks and Catherine Zeta-Jones in _The Terminal (2004)._ Looks like Meg Ryan, Daisy Ridley (whose movie, _The Marsh King's Daughter,_ didn't make the top 10) and Priscilla Presley didn't do their jobs of getting butts in the theater this weekend.
I think the MCU content on Disney+ is going into the DCEU territory with their audience base now? Those who love it make a lot of "noise" online, but when the results/stats of engagement are brought up with the content, they are no where to be seen. For better or worse, these shows feel like they are becoming more niche. The fraction of the audience they have and those who are even consistent with every show feels like a vocal minority now.

I guess people are watching Loki in other platforms. Bodies is really good. 🎉 Low expectations for The Marvels.
I felt no compulsion to watch FNAF. In fact the more a movie is billed as an "event" the more skeptical I am.
Grace don't forget that for many Hispanics Halloween isn't the last day of that season Nov 1 is Dia de los Muertos
_Freelance_ reminded me of the Sandra Bullock movie from last year, _The Lost City,_ so I watched that for the first time, on Amazon this weekend.
Journey to Bethlehem is coming out on Friday and Fandango is giving out free promo codes, so people can see it for free! I also hope that The Marvels get good reviews from critics and audiences and that it will do well at the box office, especially on opening weekend.
That Five nights at Freddy’s line is great lol
We wanted a Loki show about Loki. The TVA is irrelevant to the mcu timeline. We’ve been waiting for a tie in, but so far they’re just talking about things in rooms and it’s not effecting anything outside those rooms.
You must be watching a different show.
jack Nicholson once said if a movie looks good people will go to see it, they don't need me to promote it.
Lilo and stitch was also my introduction to Elvis. That's actually really cute.
Loki: Jonathan majors is DOA and the story revolves heavily his character Kang. There is no need to watch a show if it doesn’t help the overall story.
I don't think The Marvels will do well. Too many people don't want it to.
I Want It
I think the FNaF drop makes sense as it was a Halloween event. Plus streaming and pirating has basically killed any rewatch value in theatres.
MCU and SWs has a big quality issue. I’ve stopped watching those IPs. I can understand why audiences are giving up on those franchises unfortunately
Mike Flanaghan already has a deal with Amazon Prime, Grace. House of Usher is his last Netflix series.
You should mention if shows reached numbers for writers 90 days bonus/residuals for the streaming section
Considering no one is watching/talking about Loki & the severe lack of interest in The Marvels, I think Spielberg was right when he said 7 or 8 years ago the superhero film would die the way of the musical or the western (especially if Marvel & DC keep shitting the bed in 2024 & 2025)
@@abbyanderson2463how so?
I just know that when the strike ends, Grace's breakdown livestream is gonna be a party. 😆👏🎉
I loved her breakdown of the nuances of the writers deal and am very much looking forward to the same with the actors deal when settled. Love Grace’s business videos, I learn so much from them!
@@AnthonyPi1999 Her business breakdown videos are the best. She makes the industry so much easier to understand. I wouldn't have understood anything about the writer's deal without Grace. ☺
The Marsh kings daughter not cracking the top 10 doesn’t shock me cause there was no advertising for it, but I saw it and thought it was very good. Please watch it
Been waitin' to binge Loki. Same with Gen V. Watched all of it Friday. Incredible! ❤😊
The drop is intense but they already made enough money for the rest of the trilogy and that's all Scott wanted.
I feel the Wicked movies gonna be totally an event. We haven't had a teen fantasy franchise in a while the tricky part it's that it's a musical but I still think it's gonna get that treatment by the gp
Joker 2 can be the Halloween movie next year
I love the Wicked musical but I’m not sold on the film cast. Production design, from the leaked photos, looks magic though!
I feel like it will be trashed as a frozen clone. Even if Wicked is the inspiration for Frozen.
@@verskarton I don't think so cause Wicked in fact has been the inspiration of that friendship trope of many other projects such as Frozen, Princess & The Frog & Wednesday
I spent the weekend watching animation! Catching up on new episodes of Scavengers Reign (awesomely terrifying and haunting) and then binging Blue Eye Samurai all day Saturday. Blue Eye Samurai is absolutely phenomenal, from the animation to the thrilling fight choreography to the acting…Just amazing. Highly recommend to all adult animation fans!!
There’s a lot of viral posts and clips about Grey’s on Twitter and TikTok. Probably why there’s a boost. It had me thinking about watching, but I saw all those seasons…💀
I'm happy to see The Haunted Mansion land the #1 spot on the movie chart. That should've bren discussed more.
Let’s not forget Terrifier 3 is supposed to come out around next Halloween.
It would be great if it came out on Christmas because it’s go g to take place on the holidays
The Jonathan Majors situation has killed any project centered around Kang. Plus the multiverse is played out in the superhero world
12:05 That's like Cyberchase being my introduction to Christopher Lloyd and Gilbert Gottfried. (R.I.P.)
I’m planning to see The marvels on its opening day, and I’m still gonna keep on watching Trolls 3 being addicted this instalment (now that it’s still playing in the UK)!!!
The Marvels opening day for me too! I really hope it does well at the box office.
Grace! Did you hear? Omni-Man is in Mortal Kombat! Official.
Grace, both David Duchovny and Meg Ryan promoted the movie at least on the late night shows. They got the okay from SAG
Disney+ is getting worse & worse & yet they raised their prices 🤦♀️🤦♀️🤦♀️🤦♀️🤦♀️🤦♀️🤦♀️🤦♀️🤦♀️
9:10 I see 4 movies coming out on November 17th. (Hunger Games 5, Trolls 3, Thanksgiving and Next Goal Wins). Couldn't 2 of those movies have come out this weekend?
Don't say anything bad about Dune!
thats exactly what happens to me, i forget to watch Loki every season
$1.2m debut for an actioner starring John Cena is good and $5.4m debut for an awards play by Sofia Coppola is bad? Kind of feel like I'm taking crazy pills...
Because no one was expecting anything of the John Cena movie
I do hope that the Marvels do better than what people are expecting to make I mean, weather blockbuster movies are going to be out that everyone would want to see for the whole month other than the Disney movie Wish that comes out later.
To me I was hoping for the best with The Marvels but it really seems when it comes to big budget films with representation the studios cant help getting in their own way
def watched 5 nights at freddy’s on halloween on peacock and then my nephew went to the theater to see it
Meg Ryan's movie DID get a waiver. Way back in mid-October
Trailer doesn't show much in it. Reminds me of Tom Hanks and Catherine Zeta-Jones in _The Terminal (2004)._
Looks like Meg Ryan, Daisy Ridley (whose movie, _The Marsh King's Daughter,_ didn't make the top 10) and Priscilla Presley didn't do their jobs of getting butts in the theater this weekend.
Man it’s sad when the only good headline for your movie is: we got great end credit scenes xD wth
I'm confused, Exorcist Believer has made back 4X its budget back. How is that a flop?
I think the MCU content on Disney+ is going into the DCEU territory with their audience base now? Those who love it make a lot of "noise" online, but when the results/stats of engagement are brought up with the content, they are no where to be seen.
For better or worse, these shows feel like they are becoming more niche. The fraction of the audience they have and those who are even consistent with every show feels like a vocal minority now.
The Marvels should be scared of The Hunger Games!
I'm definitely watching The Curse just because I love Emma Stone!
Wow I loved Loki season 1 and I didn’t even know a season 2 dropped
I saw and advanced screening of Trolls Band Together this weekend and the ending was *NCREDIBLE 😉 I’m going to see it again!!!
As someone who saw What Happens Later, it is 100% a streaming movie.
The Marvels is the movie I’m looking forward the most. COMIC BOOK COMING TO LIFE ❤❤❤
I've never missed a movie math video. They are so good and informative. Love you Grace.
