Thanks for posting this video. I have a 1997 accord and I need to do this fix. I went to O'reillys and purchased the assorted bushing kit after watching another video. After watching your video I returned the assorted kit and got the kit you used. It was much easier with a little grease and c clamp. The c-clamp will make it stay straight as pressure is applied.
The actual Dorman part number for the Honda’s is 49464 and is a bit smaller and will fit from like 96-2008 I want to say.. Hope it helps someone else out with the right bushings.. I’ve replaced like IDk 30+ sets of them at the shop. There is 4 in the Dorman kit and when you go to replace them do all 4 bushings at the same time. Put just a dab of graphite on each one. Will not collect dust and mess up the new part..
Hi great tutorial and I fixed my 05 Accord with Doorman 49449 bushing as in video but it has been about 1 month since repair and linkage bushing slipped off again like it might be a little large. Some else commented to use a different bushing part number but I personally took it apart and put it back together since I have to order linkage arm from Honda so if I fix again it will be the last time. As of now it is working again.
I wanted to do this and be cheap. After reading the comments don’t do it. Just go to Honda the wiper arm and bushing is like $13/$14. After reading the comments it’s a waste of time and money. I knew when it was installed looking loose like that, something wasn’t right. However great video. You made it with good intentions and this post is too. Just want to help people.
Maybe I didn’t look hard enough but I recall the only way to get these was to buy the complete transmission. Very expensive from Honda. Think I ended up with an aftermarket from Amazon for around $40.

Literally just pulled my wiper motor and linkage on my 2006 Accord, and this was the problem. Thank you for the video!

Thanks man! What kind of graphite do you use? Is it the powder or does it come in a grease type?
I have used both out of a can and the Powder. Both work the same.. Don’t want a grease as it will collect dust.
yea i got one of those and the wiper arm B side wont go in at all

I just did my 2004 Honda Accord.. I used dorman part # 49449.. I used a heat gun to soften the plastic up so it snapped into place easier.
Thanks! I used your video to fix mine. 2004 Accord Sedan. U da man!

that dorman part number on the web site says it's for a nissan...
Mine slip off like crazy now because they're too big
Need part number 49464 there the right size.
Is it still going strong ot did it break again?
It worked for a while. I had to replace the whole assembly later on. Some seem to be having good luck with the repair. It's cheap to try. Good luck!
Why don't they make bushings out of metal?
Some bushings are made of a bronze type material. They are used a lot in small motors.
